“I didn’t even come and confront you about the bank card, but you’re still coming after me!”

Suzy knew who had come after her right away and she soon grew angry.

“Yes, I lied to you. So what? I like to see you being cheated!” said Fletcher, spouting all kinds of nonsense in a serious tone.

How terrible he was! How could he act so boldly after lying to her? In all her life, Suzy had never met such an impudent person before. She was shaking with anger.

Suddenly, Fletcher rushed towards her and hugged her tightly. “It seems that today, you’ve fallen into my hands again.

Suzy tried to scream but Fletcher covered her mouth. He pressed her against the sink. It responded automatically, the water gushed out the second she made contact with it.

Knowing that she could not allow herself to be that weak anymore, she tried her best to resist. Suzy refused to let him have his way with her again.

But, Fletcher did not care for that.

She didn’t know where the sudden burst of strength came from but she managed to break free from his grasp. Getting up, she ran out of the bathroom.

“How dare you try to run away from me?!”

It seemed like Fletcher was annoyed. He rushed towards her and pulled her into the men’s room next to them.

“What are you doing?”

Suzy looked up at Fletcher. Her eyes were filled with a deep sense of fear and helplessness, as if she was facing a ferocious, savage beast.

Fletcher stared coldly at her small face. “Am I that frightening?”

“Yes!” replied Suzy, blinking.

Seeing how cute she seemed amused Fletcher. He could not fight the smile that appeared on his face. “Suzy, go home and wait for me obediently. Don’t run around!”

She would never obey his order. Turning away from him, she stayed quiet.

However, Fletcher saw right through her. Smiling coldly, he took out his phone and showed her a photograph.

“If I don’t see you there when I return home tonight, this photograph will be made public. Once it gets out, you won’t be able to stay in the entertainment industry anymore.”

Suzy shook with anger as she looked at the photograph. It was of her in bed, taken in Fletcher’s mansion.

He was indeed a devil. How could he frame her with such a trick?

“Why are you angry? It’s not like I’m not giving you money.” Fletcher smiled icily. “I told you that I’ll take care of you.”

Hearing him bring up money made Suzy even more angry. “Take care of me? You promised to give me a million dollars. Where is it?”

“I’ll give you the money naturally if you perform well. I could even give you a billion dollars.” said Fletcher generously.

Suzy stared at him suspiciously. He had lied to her so many times now that she did not know whether or not to believe him.

But, Fletcher was not angry. He looked at Suzy who stood before him and asked her with a smile, “What’s wrong? Do you want me now?”

His words caused a deep blush to spread across Suzy’s face, colouring it as red as a ripe apple. Fletcher started to react to her again.

“If you don’t leave now, I’ll…” he said, pretending to walk towards her.

Snapping back to reality, Suzy immediately ran away from the washroom.

What was wrong with her? Why did she blush? Suzy shook her head to knock some sense into her brain. Her plan to talk to Lawrence today was ruined. All she could do was leave the mansion.

As soon as she stepped out of Baronet Mansion, heavy rain started to pour down. Knowing that it would not stop for a long time, she braced herself and ran through the rain.

She was drenched by the time she arrived at Fletcher’s mansion.

The maid, Rae Jones, had just finished mopping the floor. Suzy entered, leaving two long, ugly trails of dirty footsteps behind her as she walked. Though she was upset by this, Rae did not dare say anything to Suzy, for fear of Fletcher’s reaction.

After taking a shower, Suzy returned to Fletcher’s bedroom and lay down on his giant bed.

“Atishoo!” she sneezed.

Suzy wrapped the blankets tightly around herself as she thought, ‘Please don’t get sick. I can’t visit Ronald tomorrow if I’m sick.’ That was the last thing on her mind before she drifted off into a deep sleep.

When Fletcher came home, he saw Suzy wrapped up in a cocoon of blankets on his bed. He frowned. ‘Is she a fool? Did she plan to get sick?’

Going over to her, he tried to lift the blankets, but Suzy grabbed onto them even more tightly. She whispered, “Ronald, don’t. I’m cold!”

It felt like a giant rock had fallen onto Fletcher’s heart with a thump. In an instant, all of his adoration for her was completely ruined.
