am2_3 Chapter 16 Fletcher Moore, You Lied to Me Again!

Fletcher could not hold himself back anymore.

“Suzy, I never knew how attractive you are when you’re drunk.”

Picking up the towel beside him, he wiped the sweat off his face. He smiled cunningly as he stared at the woman who was sleeping soundly in front of him.

She was indeed a person who only cared about money. But, perhaps this was better, because he did not have to be kind to her.

The night passed.

When she woke up the next day, Suzy realized that she was lying beside Fletcher.

What happened the previous night? She remembered that he’d forced himself on her, then made her finish an entire bottle of white wine. But she couldn’t remember what happened next. Even so, she could easily connect the dots and figure out what happened.

That devil must have done that kind of thing to her again!

Suzy trembled with anger. Glancing at the man who was sleeping soundly beside her, she angrily got up, wanting to leave right away. She wanted nothing more than to get as far away from him as possible. She did not want to have any contact with him.

But Fletcher was only pretending to be asleep. When Suzy tried to get out of bed, he suddenly hugged her from behind.

“Are you leaving now?” said Fletcher with a smile.

Suzy shouted angrily at him, “Let me go!”

Vigorously pulling at his hands, she tried her best to get away from him. It reminded her how resisting Fletcher all this while had only caused him to act more recklessly.

“Aren’t you too anxious, given that you’re trying to leave without the money?” said Fletcher insincerely.

“Don’t you try to fool me again! Give me the money now!” Suzy stretched her hand out to ask for the money.

“Sure! I’m keeping you for myself now. It’s rather bad if I don’t pay you.” Fletcher took out a card from his wallet and threw it on the bed. “The password is 999999. There’s a million dollars in that card!”

As soon as she heard that, Suzy immediately picked up the card and walked out of the room.

Fletcher’s eyes clouded over, becoming cold and dark as he watched Suzy leave. The look on his face was rather frightening.

The minute she left Fletcher’s home, Suzy rushed to the nearest ATM machine. There was indeed some money inside the card, but it was only ten thousand dollars. It was not even enough to buy her son’s medicine.

“Fletcher, you bastard! You lied to me again!”

After she took the money, Suzy threw the card into a dustbin by the road. Just then, the hospital called again.

“Ms. Mayne, your son’s hospitalization fee is almost due. Please make the payment as soon as possible.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll pay it by today.”

Suzy rushed to the hospital and paid them the amount of money she just withdrew. After making the payment, she decided to visit Ronald.

Ronald rushed toward her the minute she entered the ward. “Mom, you finally came to see me!”

His once chubby face was thinner now, and he seemed pale too. However, his eyes were still bright and filled with energy. It pained Suzy to see him like that.

She patted his little bald head. “I’ve been busy with work. I’m on holiday now and I came to see you straight away.”

Ronald blinked his eyes. He seemed to have felt Suzy’s sadness. Suddenly, he held her hand and sat down in the ward.

“Mom, don’t be sad. I’ll eat the medicine and take the injection obediently. I won’t leave you behind.”

Hearing those kind of endearing words from her son made Suzy’s heart ache even more. Ronald was her only family in the whole wide world. She would never let him leave her, no matter what.

“Don’t worry, I’ve found that man at last. He’ll come and save you soon.”

Ronald’s eyes brightened. He looked at Suzy eagerly. “Have you met him? Is he handsome? Is he tall?”
