She was lost in her thoughts of him

During dinner, while Amanda’s dad was talking to his mom, she was thinking of Rex until something lit up in her dad’s mind and he instantly questioned concerning it bringing her to the consciousness that she is stock and there is no way she will be able to reply to his question.

He looked at her narrowing his eyes then woke up from his seat while her heart pounded the more.

“Where is your car Amanda?” he questioned once more and she still kept quit.

He left the dining table and she did the same following him from behind. Before she could rush to him about to explain or apologies, not thinking of the consequences, she froze meters away from him with her mouth slightly open as she saw her car parked in front of their door.

Her dad was confused as to why she was so silent and nervous. He thought her car was not there due to some reasons he was about discovering from her. But to his greatest surprise, the reverse was true.

He turned around and looked at her and she immediately positioned her face not to make him suspect it was not really there.

Though she knew, it was not there, and still confused how it found itself here so sudden. Like, how could Rex possibly bring her car without anyone knowing or hearing the sound of the car? And more to that, it was less than 15minutes when they began eating.

She was still so amazed within her but kept her face normal throughout as her dad kept studying her reaction with a sharp gaze.

After a while, he walked past her and went back to the dining table. She breathes out a sigh of relief thanking Rex within her.

Looking at her packed car outside, she sweetly smiled then bit her lip. A thought came to her to text Rex and appreciate him, but she held back knowing he will brag on top of it. So, she gladly went back and dined with her family.

The following day, she woke up joyfully with the memories of yesterday. Taking her bath, doing her choices, making breakfast was so swift for her as she kept humming a melody.

Her grandma kept watching her with a grateful smile on her faded but beautiful cheeks yet, did not comment.

She could not notice it either since she was so lost in her melodies. But stepping out, made her smile fade away within seconds.

Rex was in his car parked in front of her door while her vehicle was nowhere to be found.

She frowned her face bitterly then walked towards his car quickly making sure her dad does not notice him around, or her vehicle missing.

When Rex saw her marching towards him, he one-sided his head smirking charmingly at her naughty face.

She stopped before the car and bend to talk to him by waving her hand so, he pulls his window over.

He did and immediately she yelled without greeting

“Where is my baby and what are you doing here?”

“Those are two questions at a time. Which one do you need a response before the other?” he played

“Do not tempt me Rex!” she warned

“Ok. Get before I respond” he ordered hovering his hand to her.

“Absolutely not! You will respond to my questions right here and right now. I forget about me getting into your car because that will never happen again. By the way, if you actually stole my car so I could ride along with you, I am not sorry to say, not even in your nightmares will that happen”

“Wow! What a brave message from you. I just hope you will as brave as this when your dad jugs out not see your car, and more to that, standing with me this early instead of heading to school” Rex refreshed her memory.

She without thinking she opened his door and hopped in then uttered

“Drive off now”

He smiled doing as told.

After a long moment of silence, he decided to give a response to her questions…

“For your first question, I paid for your car to be carried away for repairs since, Craig did some damages there. Secondly, I could not let you trek to school hence, you seeing me at your house this morning. Also, I did not want you to spend the little money you have. Rather, I will bear the risk and pain of taking you to a school than letting you spend what you can barely afford.”

She clenched her jaws at the indirect insult he was giving her while looking ahead. She was in the middle of the sea. First of all, she felt embarrassed he paid for her car to be fixed. Above all, he drives her to their university.

She could not utter a word because she had nothing to say. He has worn this time around. Well, I add, he wore again just like always.

“By the way…hope you stay away from trouble this time around. I will not rescue you if you do” he added after a short while and she could not bear it any longer.

“Just because you decided to step out of you spoiled background of pride to “help” a less privileged like me, does not give you the gods to talk shit of me in my presence. I will recommend you seal it if you want this journey going smoothly or if you want to arrive school without a breakdown”

He slightly laughed, pooping his deep dimples broadly, visible for her to see. His perfect rows of white teeth and his intensive charming eyes were the only views that could make any lady freeze on her spot.

The morning sun made it look more gorgeous that his full pink lips reflected extravagantly and the fact that he kept biting or licking it most times made it look so obvious how intensively handsome he was.

Due to the picture portrayed before Amanda, she stopped breathing for some time until he rolled his head towards her, causing her to smash out of her thoughts.

He gave her a confused look for a while before looking back at the main road with his hand firm on the wheels.

When she realized he was not looking anymore, she peeped at him scanning his hands, skin, body structure, it was then she realized how manly he was even in those clothes.

Still lost, all sorts of imaginations ran through her mind until her heartbeat raised. She could never have thought she would get so into him within a few days. They are two opposite worlds and never agree to anything.

Even if they mistakenly agree to the same thing, one person must make a debate where they will end up being rivals.

Without her notice, Rex gaze catches her gaze this time and her heart skipped so fast that she felt it moving down to her belly.

She shrugged for a while before gently turning her head to its original posture while cursing herself inwardly.

He understood at once what was going on and smirked at her not saying anything.

They arrived at school and without thanking him, she hooped out running away from them so much embarrassment she encountered today.

“You are welcome!” he screamed and she felt guiltier that she did not turn either left, right or back.

He giggled at the back of her fading into the crowd while he got his things and hopped out heading to his department.
