Her grandma likes him

After she got what her dad asked of her, Rex helped drove her home. Though she denied his assistance, he persisted.

All through her way, she totally forgot she does not have her car with her hence, she will be scolded by her dad, instead, she kept wondering why Rex seemed so nice to her to the extent of proposing to leave her in her house.

While she was in her world, Rex was speculating on what could be running through her mind now, due to her sudden silence. Well, he knows her to be talkative so, it is strange for him to see her so calmly.

He did not want to ask why she is so calm because he was not ready to carry on any fight.

Firstly, he is the leader of his gang which she does not know about. So, he has things to sort out at school with some bad groups of boys and girls who are harassing new students on the campus. And also spoiling the schools' name by joining forces with another bad group of gangs from the different institutes.

As a leader, he has to make sure all these manipulations, disorders stop before it spreads beyond control. That is why he cannot afford to get into a fight with her because he has all these going through his mind.

They arrived at her home and she hooped out thanking him. Only for her to realize when she walked in he was behind her.

It was already too late to drive him away as her grandma exclaimed

“Who is this handsome young man you brought home!?”

Walking towards Rex, her grandma gave him a soft gaze then, extended her hand to touch his cheek.

He surprisingly gave in to the touch lowering his head.

“I am Rex granny” he replied

“Amanda’s Friend” he added

“Really! Just friends. Amanda never told you about me. I doubt you are just friends” her grandma commented and she opened her eyes wide looking at both of them in shock.

Rex chuckled then smirked

“Do not mind my manners. I have not officially introduced myself. I am granny Judith, Amanda’s grandma, and the mom to her Dad.”

“Yeah. I heard of you from her. You are such a lovely woman” he complimented

“Uhh-” Amanda tried speaking for the first time since they got in but her words were caught by her grandmom.

“Oh really! Means she must like you. She does not talk about me to just anybody. I am like her gem. She does not want me stolen. I guess she does not mind you stealing me from her. And trust me… you have already stolen me right here, right now because you are the most adorable young man I have come across after my late husband”

“OK. That is enough-” Amanda was caught again by Rex this time around.

“Thank you. I appreciate. And… may his soul rests in perfect peace.”

“Yeah. I believe wherever he is, he will be triggered by meeting you. I hope this friendship upgrade soon” her grandma let out and Amanda could not take it this time

“Grandma!! Could you please not embarrass me for once… just once I plead”

“Do not mind her. She always scolds me like this” her grandma reported to Rex and he looked raised his brows playing along like he was shocked and embarrassed at the same time.

“What!? NO!” she stood for herself

“And you are doing it again” Rex complimented and Amanda rolled her head towards him so quick with a furious look

“Just SHUT UP!” She yelled

“Oh My God! Baby what is going on here?” her dad questioned walking towards them from the stairs.

“I keep hearing your voice from my office. Are you alright?” he added

Everyone was silent as she turned and faced her dad, while he kept looking at the side to see the guy she brought along.

He was stunned by his view. He kept gazing to see if it was what it really was.

“Uhh…Dad, I introduce to you…” she angled her head to look at Rex then back to her dad she continued

“Rex. He is… the guy I was talking to you about” she whispered to her dad the last statement.

Her dad gave him a frightful look narrowing his eyes but Rex did not seem moved by that, as he kept looking at both of them, wondering what she whispered with a slightly furrowed brow.

“Nice to meet you Sir” he saluted forwarding his hands for a hand shake.

Her dad looked at his hands for a long time before nodding his head still not taking his hand in return.

Rex pressed his lips together slowing withdrawing his hanging hand.

Amanda felt a little disapproving for what her dad did but she could not do otherwise since that is how her dad has always been. Moreover, she enjoyed the Rex reaction at that moment.

“You could join us for dinner…if that is ok” her grandma added

“That is a tempting proposal but sorry I have to decline. I was caught up with something before heading here. So, I have to handle it ASAP. Still, I could join next time”

“Absolutely not!” Amanda mumbled with gritted teeth to his hearing alone.

She fought back a smile as her grandma smiled understanding his excuse.

“That is ok Son. I will make sure you attend dinner or why not breakfast with us next time.” Her grandma responded

Amanda opened her eyes wide at her grandma

“I will be pleased to” Rex responded making sure he does not look at Amanda. Because her gaze alone could kill.

“I do not know how long you have been friends with my daughter, my little innocent flower but I wish to remind you her dad is here and will definitely smash anything that would try harming her. Trust me I mean every word” her dad warned

“Unfortunately I am not a thing. And yeah… I get it. That is why she so sticks to you” Rex backfired instantly.

Amanda cleared her throat at once trying to distract her dad’s feeling due to Rex’s response. While her dad slightly clenched his jaw chuckling.

“Son we have unfinished business. I bet our time is up. Let us live the kids to themselves” her grandma spoke moving towards her son cutting the weird silence.

On living, her grandma winked at Rex and he smiled.

Amanda just buried her face in her palms in frustration. When Rex saw that he shook his head.

On lifting her head, she furrowed her brows not understanding why he still standing there.

“What are you waiting for? Move already. I thought you told my grandma you had something to take care of ASAP”

He smirked still looking at her for some time and Amanda raised her brows waiting for him to live.

“I love your grandma. And I will definitely come back to see her” he said then moved away immediately. Not waiting for her to mention anything to his hearing because he knew she will respond and she did.

“In your dreams! I do not want to catch your feet here! If you do, I am going to personally catch if off before my dad takes over.”

“Daddy’s daughter” he mocked heading towards his car and she froze behind him folding her hands in a fist.

When he moved to the driver’s side and opened the door, he chuckled at the statue of her twisting her face like a bulldog then hopped in and drove off.

After a long stair at his vanishing car, it was then she realized her car was not there. She starting thinking on how to explain to her dad or call Rex to bring it.

She swore she will not call Rex since he will only mock at her. But then, she cannot think of a good excuse to give her dad.

She sighs in confusion and frustration on the mess she inputted herself in. She started regretting why she let him drop her home. But it was already too late. Sadly, she walked in joining her dad and grandma in preparing dinner.
