Secrets Unfold

“Where should we look for this animal?” Akaisha was beginning to worry about Blue considering she wasn’t sure how big this thing was or what it even was. Were they actually sure that the animal left this secret compound or was it hiding somewhere within it?“Fortunately, during my experiments we put a tracker inside of it’s leg. So we should be able to find it. I’ll just need you to use any one of your abilities to bring it back safely. Emphasize on the world safely.” He was rummaging through several drawers looking for something.“And if I don’t? what will you do?” She was testing him, he knew that. She was always defiant towards him. He motioned for his assistant.“Well, I’ll take your precious dog.” He was faster than she realized. The assistant already had blue in his arms, hefting her up, and placing her in a

Akaisha looked to the trifling man next to her and could only swallow. How could he do something like this. Why would he do something like this. Experimenting on a child is one thing but on extinct animals was something only a madman would conjure. She just stood there, what could she really do? Did she actually want to help him capture an animal that shouldn’t exist? Yet, she had given her word and her word was just as good as shackle. Professor Jay did teach her that “Your word is your bond, if you agree to do something then you should keep your word so you didn’t come across as a liar.” Akaisha could only sigh softly.“So, how do you want me to proceed in catching it?” She looked over at him with disgust etched in her features. She knew he could see it but he chose to ignore it anyway.“Use your telepathy to speak with it then force him to let you

Escaping a Madman

Akaisha focused really hard she imagined the device in her hand. After a few minutes, a small weight settled in her palm. She opened her eyes and exhaled in relief. Giving Red a small smile she threw it down to the floor and stomped on it. Red had run to the assistant to help out Blue, with one swipe of it’s paw the man was down on the ground unconscious. Akaisha hurried towards the two of them. Cuddling Blue into her chest she wrapped her arms around Red to teleport them all outside. At that moment Professor Jay had managed to come back to the lab only to see the three of them vanish. His eyes went to find his assistant lying on the floor. He stood there staring at the empty space they were just in. Moments later a hysterical laugh erupted from within him. He continued t

She had gotten the car up to 55 miles per hour, when she seen it. A faint yellow glow in the distance. It was near where they had escaped from. The closer she got the more she could see it was a fire. Did that man actually start a fire in his lab to draw attention to himself? She was going to turn the car around to head away from the burgeoning commotion but it was too late. Fire copters were there on the scene. She could see in the distance blue and red lights approaching them fast. It was the police. Akaisha knew they needed to get off of the road and fast before they were stopped. It didn’t look as if they closed off the roads, so she worked her brain harder to speed through the area. They couldn’t be stopped not here or now. Soon as she passed by the area, she started to see Professor Jay in the road. When she would get close enough it would vanish. Akaisha was hoping her eyes weren’t playing tricks on her. No, this wa

Meeting the Sergeant

Red mist only looked at her not quite understanding what she meant. They Managed to make it into her apartment where it looked as if everything was normal. Blue seemed happy to be back home. Akaisha looked around the apartment. She had lived her for five years but now with this special creature it was for the best that she moved.  Setting out food for blue, she then went to the fridge to get out a mixture of things for Red. Since he had DNA from several different animals, she made sure to give as much of a variety as possible. Blue waited to eat her food until she saw that red was eating. While they both ate Akaisha started to browse for real estate. There weren’t many residential dwellings anymore. She searched for something c

He looked around to see a few familiar faces and some not familiar faces. This was a diner he frequented quite regularly. He looked over at the booths to see someone he was indeed looking for, Akaisha Morningstar. He sauntered over to her table taking a seat. “So, you’re the person that I am looking for and extremely dangerous. You certainly don’t look like it. Sergeant Acheki.” He held out his hand for her to shake. Akaisha looked at his outstretched hand and ignored it.“I see, you’re a cautious woman. I wouldn’t shake anyone’s hand if I had your abilities either.”She motioned for him to sit down before she started to speak. “Listen, I didn’t ask to have the abilities. Someone forced them on me. You wouldn’t know anything about me had I not tried to defend myself against those creeps.”He took a seat and gave a

Investigating the Truth

Akaisha was feeling as if a small weight was lifted off her shoulders but what other hidden facilities did, he has that she wasn’t aware of? Would he find her at her place? It was time she went to check out those new listings she saved. She ran her fingers through her hair as she closed her eyes. She walked a short distance before she teleported herself to the first location. It seemed like it was in livable condition, but she would need permits to remodel it. So, she kept teleporting until she found a place that was what she wanted.Meanwhile, Sergeant Acheki had contacted his buddy in the police department. “Hey bud, heard anything interesting as of late?”

Akaisha was still checking out places when she felt it had been long enough for the Sergeant to have gotten some information. She had just gotten to the last listing when it seemed it was perfect, perfectly run down. The outside was dreary. There was a hole in top of the roof. The windows were bashed out and boarded up. She looked at it and smiled. This was perfect. There would be no reasons for the council to veto any remodeling plans. Pulling up the listing she contacted the realtor. Within minutes Akaisha had paid the amount for the listing. The paperwork was sent to the mailbox for signing. After putting her seal and information on it she requested her personal

Reliving the Past

Akaisha had went back and forth mentally with calling him until her link started to ring. It was the sergeant calling her instead. She stared at her phone until the last second. “Yes?”There was a heavy silence at first but then she heard a cough on the other end. Acheki was clearing his throat. “I couldn’t find anything out about you. Our system was created by him.” There was a brief pause. “How do I know you are telling the truth; I mean you could just be tr

She was ready to teleport to the library but wasn’t sure if she should drive. Police were looking for her vehicle, so that was out of the question. There was one other way to get there. He looked at her as if he knew. “Long as you ride close to my back you won’t be seen.”Akaisha kissed the top of his head, if animals could blush, she was sure she seen a tinge of pink pepper in his feathers. “You are a smart boy; we just have to be incredibly careful. I’m a wanted woman and you shouldn’t exist. This combination is a recipe for disaster. If anything happens you go invisible and come back here. I’ll leave the bedroom window open.” She went to the back and opened her wi
