CHAPTER 11

Time had started to drag on and for whatever reason, we had switched topics and my parents death was being questioned. I was doing okay for the most part. "Did you wanna tell me what happened?" Tamara asks gently. I look over at Bekah, she has a sad smile on her face. "We were going on a family trip up to our cottage in Kirkland. I loved it up there, I miss it. My friends when I was real little used to think such a small town with so little people couldn't be anything fun but it was. And it was beautiful. A home away from home," I smile."I was fourteen when they passed. Ace, my brother was a year older. We had a great relationship back then, we were very close." I can't help but frown. I miss my brother."It was my twelfth birthday when I was able to shift. Ace had gotten me a beautiful, bright white necklace shaped as a single snowflake, as a birthday gift. He told me he had saved up two months worth of allowance so he could get it. He knew how much I loved winter." I

"Are we gonna get outta here anytime soon cause I'm bored." Joel mutters and I laugh. Tamara whispers something in his ear and she nods. "We're gonna head out. See ya guys back at the house." He smiles and gives Cliff a wink. Rebekah slams the table hard enough to crack it, then stormed off towards the restrooms. Tamara flinches. I don't blame her. She has no idea what she's up against."Sorry, period cramps. Rager. She get's a litle woo-hoo." I mumble to Tamara, twirling my index finger around my head, starring off in my best friends direction. "Why does she have to act like that sometimes?" Joel mutters annoyed. I glare and Cliff growls.I want so badly to shout at him, she's only acting like because your her mate and you have your hands all over another woman, whispering about sex I assume, I'm the middle of a mall food court. But, I keep my mouth shut. Joel rolls his eyes at us and him and Tamara walk off.I grab Cliff's arm and pulled him aside with me and wal

CHAPTER 13

Everything was everywhere. In our hair, over our clothes, in our eyes which were now squinting with laughter. It was all over the floor and counters. We were grinning at each other. "That was fun, I haven't done anything like that before." I say happily. "That was fun." He agrees and pecks my cheek. "So, have you ever done something like this before?" He asks slowly. "Something like what?" I ask confused. He sprays my neck with a bit of whip-cream before licking it off, kissing up my jaw to my lips. I moan against his lips and push my hips into his. He grabs my hips and lets out his own mown. "Nope," I mumble as I pull away breathless. "Good." He smirks. "C'mon. I got one other thing that'll be a first for us both." He says, wiping something off my face. I frown. I hate being sticky. Elijah takes my hand and tugs me upstairs to his bedroom. I had a feeling I knew what he had in mind.He closes the door behind us and stands in front of me, a smile on his face. "Let's shower tog

CHAPTER 14

The ground was prickly as I walk bare foot along the ground of what looked to a forestI find myself looking frantically around me. I could smell the moss and the streams somewhere in the distance. The leaves were bright, sun shining through the tops of the trees. I smile. I can hear everything. The animals around me, they're moving, hunting their pray, drinking from the river that flows through the forest. It's only a few meters ahead that I see the first line of a stream. I follow it, taking careful steps. Somehow my feet don't hurt against the prickle.I reach my destination within minutes, a small pond surrounded by streams. I crouch down, running my fingers in the cool water. Looking down at my reflection, I seen I was in all white. My hair in a long beautiful braid that fell down around one of my shoulders. White roses and daisies, all entwined in the crevasses of my braid. It was red. A bright, beautiful red.My dress was white, long and white. There was lac

CHAPTER 15

I walk downstairs, my foots echoing in the emptiness of the pack house. I see Bekah in the kitchen eating an orange. "You almost ready?" She asks through a bite. "My suitcases are in the car, my phone's in my pocket and my purse is in the front seat. I'm good to go." I smile at her and she laughs, handing me a piece of an orange. I'm starving but so nauseas at the same time."How're you?" I ask her and she knows I mean Joel. "I'm hurt. Annoyed. Angry. I am a whole lot of negative words and yet I am still in love with the man." She frowns at me. I sign. "I wish I could say it gets easier but it won't, unless he's with you I mean." I tell her and she hands me another piece of orange."The love I still feel for Kol is addictive and it kills me every time he's with another woman psychically." I add. Maybe that's another reason why I'm so scared of going back there. Because it won't be the same. He will no longer be far away whilst I feel physical pain of it all. I'll see h

CHAPTER 16

"It's nice to meet you Renee." He shakes her hand. "I'm Alpha Elijah. These are my Beta's. Cliff and Joel. This here is Joel's girlfriend Tamara, our friend Rebekah, and..." He scratches the back of his neck. Way to play it cool. I roll my eyes. "This is my girlfriend, Katerina." He says and I take that time to pop my head out of his arm a bit and half smile to her. She said a there, her jaw opened slightly, not understanding. And then she rips me away from Elijah and pulls me into a hug, crying. My eyes rim with tears. Oh, Ren. "I missed you so much. I.. we..all thought you were dead. Why did you write me that letter?" she sobs and smacks my arm hard. "Ow, jeez. Okay, I kinda deserve that one." I mutter and pull away, rubbing my arm. I look at her and her sad eyes. "Are you okay?" she asks me. I nod smiling slightly and she pulls me into her arms against "Blink twice if you are being held hostage." she whispers and I laugh. "I'm fine Renee, really. I'm happy." I tell her and Elijah

I stand tall and as strong as I can. Of course, loud whispers and gasps erupt in the room. "Hi everyone." I said in a small voice. I look around, meeting everyone's eyes with a smile. When I catch sight of my brother, his face lit up in confusion and happiness. He looks sick. His skin pale, his body too slim. He looks like he needed a shave too. Oh, Ace. What's happened to you? My pang with pain and regret. He stands forcefully, rushing toward me and pulling me into his arms. "Is it really you?" He asks, his voice cracking. "Yes. It's really me, Ace." I tell him my eyes flowing with tears. "You look so different..." He sobs, pulling away to look at me. I nod. "I know. But it's me. It's really me." I grip him tighter.Elijah pulls me away from him growling and envelopes me in his arms. Ace backs away, understanding. "It's okay baby, he wont hurt me." I tell him, running my nose along the coller bone of his neck. He growls. "Babe. Trust me, please." I beg and kiss his lips

"Melonie, how good to see you." I say, fake kindness clear in my voice. "This new appearance of yours doesn't change anything, Katerina." She says slowly. Rebekah growls. "You'll never be accepted into this pack as an equal. You'll never be his, not while I'm around." She states. "Oh shit, okay. Lets make sure you're no longer around." Rebekah says and I see her hands start to glow.Melonie looks at her briefly before looking back at me. "Getting people to fight your battles? I knew you were just as weak as you always were." She smiles. "This is what family looks like, idiot. If there was anyone who actually loved you enough to protect you like this, you'd see that." I state angrily. She glares and steps forward. "This isn't your family, Katerina. Half of your family is dead and the other half is in this house somewhere, broken." She tells me, her anger rising as well. "How does it feel knowing all your parents died because of you?" She asks bluntly. Tamara slaps her. It happe

CHAPTER 20

Elijah was on my one side and his father was on my other. Rebekah, Cliff, Joel, Tamara and Renee were all lined up infront us across the table and Kol and Ace were diagonal from us aswell. Everyone was visible to everyone, meaning everyone could talk to eachother without much turning and leaning. My stomach rumbles, I am starving. We're having turkey dinner, almost like thanksgiving only better. I grin and chew happily on my food. Elijah holds my hand under the table and I smile up at him. He smiles back. "So, Katerina dear, how have you been? Oh we've missed you in this pack. It's so good to have you home safe and sound." Kol's mother gushes and I could see the sadness in her eyes. She and her husband never knew what was going on in regards to my abuse back in the day. They were always traveling. I smile at her best I can, though I wouldn't call this home anymore. "I've been good, m'am. When I left, I had stumbled upon Elijah and his Beta's, they offered me a position in their pack
