 eyed the man across from me suspiciously. Nyria, who was now rock solidly asleep, had asked a not-so-stupid question.“She took the words out of my mouth. Why are you really helping us, Lucifer? I thought you didn't want to help me? "He shrugged and for a moment I saw something like indecision flash in his eyes. What was that?“Partly just curiosity. There is something about this girl that fascinates me. I think she is far more powerful than either of us think. I have known only a few Nephilim so far, and Nyria is the most human of them yet. Each of them was comparable to a god, but such abilities have not yet made themselves felt in her. "His explanation made me hold my breath for a moment. Was he serious?
