I did not know what to feel. I was numb inside and out. Me and Aunt Hilda were like robots inside the funeral home. Well, I was specifically the robot. I walked in and out assisting the guests, relatives, family friends, and close friends of Allen and offered snacks.

I would have stayed with Aunt Hilda at the funeral home but most of the adults there told me that I should get some rest and be back tomorrow. The adults I meant were mostly siblings of Aunt Hilda's. One of the things I hate about funerals was the lengthy mass. By the time Aunt Hilda had finished saying her eulogy which was mostly drowned in a puddle of tears, my head was aching. My family had flown here just for this day and I was glad, I was able to see and hug them. But I was nowhere near happy.
