Today, we are going to go through journal entries… Just got the call from The Major. And I find my confidence floundering.  God, please I don’t want to go through the same thing I had to do two years ago. Admittedly, I would do it all again to save the man I love but I can’t bear to break his heart again. 

In a patient’s room somewhere in a far-off medical facility… “…and he’s been sedated for more than a week now. Most of his skin grafts and wounds have already healed enough for his bandages to be removed. The Major was sitting silently in the limo with the Detective as he listened intently to the recording that he received on his phone via a pair of wired earphones. Unfortunately, he still can't get the hang of Bluetooth earplugs so he's happy with his "Jurassic" setup. Like the longtime friend who he's riding with, they follow the old adage "If it's not broke don't fix it" so they are quite content to just stick with what they're familiar with. And the women he could hear in the recording are very familiar females that were both close to her heart. They are, after all, family. The thing is, this is the kind of information that he cannot just release to just anyone within his circle of close contacts or even trusted family members.
