After school, he offered to take her home again. This time, Amelia didn't argue with him and walked to the car. His smile vanished as he saw Destiny standing by his car. What now?"What are you doing in my school?" he asked. "Are you stalking me now?" Nate was irritated beyond belief.Destiny threw her arms around him and pulled him into a hug. Nate moved quickly and took her arms off of him. He is not going to be swayed by her easily this time.

"Errm....hey Amelia," Nate said nervously. He had never seen her so angry. The usual cheerful glow in her big brown eyes was replaced by rage-fueled fire. Nate was scared."Don't you 'hey Amelia' me you turd muffin! What do you think you are doing?" she roared."It's not what you thin...." Nate started to explain but Destiny cut him off."That's none of your business, it's between me and Nate," Destiny said.

"So, the rumors are true!" Amelia exclaimed. "Your father is in the Mafia. I never would've thought. Is that why you were depressed all the time? Because you were ashamed of it"Nate nodded. His eyes were full of sadness. He told Amelia everything about him. He was tired of keeping secrets from everyone and it was time, he told someone. Part of him was afraid that she would be disgusted to hear about his criminal family but didn't want to hide it from her."Alex happily embraced the life of crimes, but I never could. It was a punishment for me," he said.

Nate called his father. He knew he was the only person who was capable of helping him at a time like this. His father had all the money in the world and ten thousand dollars was nothing to him. He never asked his father for anything before so he hoped he would take pity on him just this once."Dad, I need your help," Nate said, his voice was shaking with fear."Nate, what the hell? Do you know what time it is?"

After waiting for hours, which felt like a lifetime, the doctor finally called them. Nate felt hopeful as he saw the doctor smiling.  "Good news, the surgery was successful. Just watch her diet and give her the prescribed medications and she will be just fine," Dr. Rich smiled. "She should wake up in a few minutes."Relief washed over Nate's body. She was going to be okay. He didn't have to spend the rest of his life alone. Amelia will be right there beside him, smiling like she always does.

"Um...Jeremy, this is my boyfriend Nate," Amelia giggled nervously."A boyfriend? Since when do you have a boyfriend?" Jeremy squinted his eyes at them."Since now," Nate said.
