21. Abduct

A/N: (Warning) This chapter will confuse you as we had tried to deliver the scenes from two different sides in the third pov. Also, many things are not revealed. But don’t worry, everything will be explained in the upcoming chapters clearly. Now, enjoy the chapter Third POVThe rain pelted down from the grey sky, acting as a solace to the dry earth. The water splashed as the wheels of Range Rover skid to a stop in front of Watson Mansion. Logan rushed out of the car, ignoring the crisp atmosphere and the vicious raindrops as his heart was burning with unfamiliar fire. A fire that evolved when Logan Watson met Karolia Kingston. “Karolia!” Logan hollered as soon as his feet hit the marble floor of the living room. Deep down he knows she wouldn’t be at home, but what if she is playing with him, he thought. His deep voice that kept on calling her name echoed in the large hous

22. Rescue

Logan’s POV:I stare at the old beaten wooden door in front of me, the edges cracked and rusty. The birds went round in the air, breaking the silence of this deserted place. In 2013, Rosche's rail yard was closed down due to a construction defect which resulted in several injuries and some death. Since then, no one has bothered to reconstruct the place and now this is the main area where some of the unlicensed activities take place. Tightly gripping my suitcase, I stepped back and kicked the door repeatedly until it finally gave away, landing on the ground with a loud thud. The dust particles flew all around me as I stepped on the fallen door, entering the house. The small passage was dark with an awful smell and burned cigarettes loitering the dirty floor. Footsteps echoed through the crumbling walls before someone came into my view. The person looked surprised to see me and he checked his phone and stared at me for a s

23. Arouse

Have you ever experienced the feeling of someone hitting your head with different types of a hammer? Right now I'm experiencing that feeling and let me tell you, it's like walking on a chunk of burning coal and glasses on barefoot. I moaned in pain and clutched my left ear as the sound of hammering increased. Once the pain lessened, I slowly opened my eyes to the bright white light blinding me. I squeezed my eyes shut and blinked a few times. I opened them again and looked around. I was in an unfamiliar white room. The wall to my right was covered in a long horizontal blind over my head. There was an annoying beeping sound somewhere close by and my hands were all twisted up with tubes. I guess I didn’t die. What day is it by the way?“Pssst…Hey,” I frowned in confusion when I heard an unfamiliar voice coming from somewhere.“Over here, to your left” the same unfamiliar voice spoke. I slowly turned

24. Sweet and Bitter

“Attack” “Attack” “Attack”Five men, two wearing a mask and three holding a bomb in their hand, were chasing behind me chanting the word ‘Attack’ as I ran through the streets of New York. Hot tears were streaming down from my eyes and the white sundress I wore is soaked in my blood almost making it look like the cloth is dyed red.I stumbled over a stone and lost my footing, falling to the ground with a loud thud. Unable to get back onto my feet on time, I helplessly looked back to those men who were standing a foot away. I closed my eyes as one of them took their pistol out to shoot me. Even though I heard the sound of a gunshot, I couldn’t feel anything. No pain. My eyes opened to a sight of a lady who lay dead on the ground in front of me, blood trickling down from her chest where the bullet went in. I wailed loudly and held the motionless figure in my

25. Transpire

A/N: A lot to take in in this chapter about Logan's past, so read leisurely. “When I grew up everyone told I’m an exact copy of my father in looks as well as size. My memories with him are very vague. But I still remember his proud smile that one time when I came home with a trophy I won in a school game” a soft smile played on his lips which made me smile as well. We were sitting on a white bench out on the patio which was decorated with different varieties of plants. The rain has stopped an hour back, but still, the sky looks grey and dull, just like our mood. Logan played with his coffee cup as he recollected his memories. “Father started Watson Enterprise but it wasn’t as big as it is today. When Dad died in an accident when I was ten, we had to hand over the company to Gregory, mom’s brother, who was already running a manufacturing company. But seeing my mom’s helpless stat

26. Friends

The steak sizzled in the skillet as the diced potatoes boiled in a saucepan. I watch Logan as he effortlessly cuts up the carrots while he laughs.“Seriously? No way” he chuckled, his shoulders vibrating. The skin at the corners of his eye wrinkles while he laughs. I nod my head while I munch on the carrot, sitting on top of the kitchen counter where he is working on our dinner. After our moment on the patio, Logan said he will cook today’s dinner, and here we are. “Yes seriously” I laughed along with him. “No matter how hard I scrubbed, the blue paint refused to get out of my body for a week. Everyone in the school teased me by calling me a Smurf” He threw his head back and laughed loudly.  “But I bet you were a cute Smurf” he tapped the tip of my nose and I blushed lightly before rolling my eyes when he laughed again. We were now playing 20 round questions and he asked the most

27. A phase

“Ahem…Sorry for the interruption” Upon hearing Grecia’s familiar voice, we quickly pushed each other away as if we burn each other and looked at the person in front with widened eyes. My heart was still hammering against my ribs but now a lot faster. This feeling, feeling of getting caught doing something horrible (not like when someone found we stole a cookie) is an unfamiliar thing to me and it’s not something good.I stared at Grecia as if I had seen a ghost. My voice got stuck in my throat as I stared at her unreadable face. She was dressed in a knee-length petal pink summer dress and matching heels, her hair drawn into a messy bun. Logan’s face looked nonchalant as usual, but the way he is speechless tells he is also in shock.“Grecia, W-What a surprise. It’s so good t-to see you a-again.” I mentally slapped myself as I stuttered. I stood there awkwardly as she kept glancing between me and L

28. Watson Enterprise

I dragged myself lazily to the kitchen. I opened the refrigerator and took a carton of milk and poured it into a glass. I then sat on the barstool in front of the countertop table. Staring at the milk, my mind drifted off to the morning event. It's been several hours since I have heard from Logan. No matter how hard I pondered, I couldn’t conclude what I did wrong for making him angry at me. All we did last night was cuddle, not to my wish but I didn’t hate it either. I even sent several texts to Logan asking what the matter was but I was left unanswered even though he saw all my six messages. I sighed and drank the glass of milk in one gulp.My phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and my heartbeat picked up when I noticed it’s a message from Logan. Now he decides to speak up!'We need to talk. It's important.' What? Nervousness and fear seeped into my body. I don’t know what&rsq

29. Haunting Memories

“Sit down” Logan ordered and walked to his black leather office chair. He shrugged out his black coat suit and hung it on the back of the chair. He’s wearing a crisp white shirt, a black skinny tie finished off with some tightly fitted suit trousers. He rolled his sleeves up to his elbow before making his way to the bar.I sat down on a chair, fiddling with my fingers nervously. Logan poured himself a drink before turning around to stare at me. The intensity in them caused me to suck in a breath.“So, Miss Kingston. What’s your next plan?” he asked a cold undertone in his voice. My eyebrows scrunched in confusion. Next plan? What plan?“What do you mean?” I asked. He chuckled darkly, rubbing his thumb along his bottom lip whilst he stared at me. If any other situation, I would have been turned on by his action, but now he only looks menacing. I jumped slightly when he slammed the glass o

30. Before it's too late

“Oh my!” Grecia immediately stood up from the couch, rushing to his side. “Mom,” Logan groaned loudly, wiping the blood from his lips. “Why are you up this late?” he asked an undertone of exasperation in his voice. Unlike the attire he was wearing this morning, Logan now wore grey joggers and a black sweatshirt, his hair messier than usual. I also stood up from the couch but I couldn’t move any further. It felt like some invisible force was pulling me backward. Grecia took his face in her hands, examining him. She had to stand on her toes to see his face clearly. Of course, he is 6ft tall and Grecia only needs to stand on her toes to see his face, I guess I’ll need a stool for that.“I’m fine, Ma,” Logan said and removed her hands off his face. Logan’s lips had been cut and blood had congealed at the corners of the red lips. His face already seemed to start to bruise a little, along with a tr
