While going down the elevator she couldn’t shed the feel of dread assaulting her. She couldn’t hide the slightly trembling of her hands and the drops of sweat blossoming on her temples. When the elevator door opened she exhaled sharply, and both beefy men came to sight. They were probably some kind of security from the store. But why all these? Maybe because they were a highly reputed chain of expensive jewelry? She doubted it. She was perplexed. As soon as she came near them, they caged her between them and walked her to a car without a word. The ride was silent. She didn’t dare say a word and see for herself what was going on.
