"S-Sorry" Skye said with a shaky smile as he lightly pressed his forehead on her shoulder, relief filled his heart knowing that she was finally responding. At that moment Skye could only assume the worse when she looked at him with lifeless eyes, unable to respond or move despite what was going on around them.  Like a broken marionette.  

Looking at the other in surprise, fear-filled their faces briefly before steeling their expressions.  Clearing her throat Merlia looked with a neutral expression, hoping to not give anything away given how unsettled she was feeling.  Her heart continued to beat rapidly in her chest making her feel

“You idiot!” Anberine yelled as agony racked her body in a violent manner, meanwhile she pushed him off quickly causing him to yelp and fall backwards in surprise.Soon Anberine placed her hands between lower waist, groaning loudly she got off the chair shakily and laid on the floor feeling her sore bone throb painfully.  “S-Sorry! I’m really sorry” Skye cried out

"Wh-What are you looking at?" Anberine cried out as she looked at him with startled eyes, noticing that Skye was staring at her oddly. Her voice shuddered slightly while her heart pounded heavily in her ears making them burn enough to wish there was a bucket of water nearby.  Looking down at her with half-lidded eyes, Skye slowly twirled a lock of her long fringe with his index finger, causing her face to become redder from how close he was now. 

Her hands which had been resting on her stomach moved the moment she felt him press himself onto her front. This in turn made Anberine gasped aloud in surprise thanks to his bold moves.  A quiet mewl left her lips while she moved her hands and gripped his sleeves tightly, given that they were the only thing she could grab at the moment.   

A thing that shouldn’t be possible as it was a disembodied voice, but nonetheless it allowed him to think about what would happen if someone did catch her attention.  He didn’t want her to belong to anyone else. Would that be an obsession?   

“Very well… I’ll take it into consideration. In the meantime, remember my warnings” Uther said in a foreboding tone while he eyed Skye darkly.  “Do not embarrass us or our name, act out of line once more and form such unsightly ties with lower-class peasants…” Uther stopped himself deliberately causing a shiver to run down Skye’s spine.  

“They can come to the ball now, father said yes after I advised him that it would help with his publicity. At first he was suspicious, but I somehow managed to convince him. Isn’t that great-A?” Skye half yelped as Anberine suddenly bounced off her chair and landed onto his lap while hugging him.  Not caring about the position they were in as jo

“One day, that's all I'm asking” Skye spoke softly to her despite the fact she was glaring at him.  “We don’t have much time left” she hissed as he nipped her lips playfully, leaving her almost on the verge of being distracted until the worries of their exams left her more on edge. She was not going to fail them because he wanted to mess about.

If she did fail, it would be a lot harder for her to progress further through the years. Especially since middle and lower-class people would never did have it easy, mostly thanks to their statuses and in more ways than one were lucky to be in this school to begin with.  It was a privilege to attend such a school, one that should be taken seriously, for there were no second chances thanks to the rules sent by their king.
