“What is it Prince Skye?” Miss Erin asked softly as he smiled at the teacher leaving her more intrigued by what he had to say. “Miss Erin, I want to swap seats with someone” Prince Skye replied politely surprising not only the teacher but also everyone in the class.

The king as he stood facing the window with his hands behind his back frowned deeply, his eyes showed he was furious about something but didn’t show his fury to many people. But when he did, it terrified those enough to the point that they would never be able to tell the tale.

Anberine seeing this immediately took this an opportunity to leave before she could do anything dangerous. It was then once she arrived at the girl’s toilets without being caught that she quickly had noticed her new hair colour.

“Do not give me that look!” Anberine snapped shrilly, not caring that some people in the courtyard were now watching from a distance, nor did she care that this would end badly for her. Anberine truly had had enough of him and his treatment towards her, there was so much she could take before she would fully snap and now at this moment.

Anberine froze from hearing him speak her actual name, especially given how he would always call her insulting names. At the same time, Anberine's mind could not register the first thing Skye had said.

Skye slowly looked up at the staircase, although it was almost hard to see thanks to the darkness. If anything it hid his most pained expressions, allowing him some comfort when he could not show any feelings or pain to others, lest it came back to haunt him.

“Prince Skye” came an emotionless voice that appeared from thin air, where the voice was no one knew thanks to the darkness that concealed its location. Hearing this voice, however Prince Skye immediately froze just as he was about to kiss the crown of her head.

“You’ll do what boy?” the king challenged in a very low baritone, just hearing the tone caused Skye to finally realise who he was lashing out at. His eyes now reverted back to grey, revealing complete fear from knowing he had crossed the line.

Anberine’s mind while she spoke tried to process what happened the day before, the event itself had made her feel conflicted and guilty. Yet she felt as if she had seen a side- a hidden side of the prince, one that hardly anyone saw and it left her with mixed emotions.

Anberine silently watched her friends as they eventually gathered around the small cauldron on Merlia's study table, located in the center of her dorm room. Morgana who had elected to have the spell’s effect to swap the effects on to her, now placing the last of the ingredients into the cauldron under the careful supervision of her friends.
