Chapter 1744

The young girl working at the front desk was frightened by the ferocious expression on his face as she fumbled with her replies.

“Sir, I am really sorry! Our most distinguished guests’ assistant has already clearly told us that both of them really do not have time to see you. We would really appreciate it if you do not make things difficult for us…”

Yoshito’s initial exuberance and confidence were instantly crushed because of this young girl working at the front desk!

He started cursing hysterically.

“My name is Matsumoto Yoshito and not Sir!! Do you understand me?!”

The young girl retreated a few steps backward in fright as he yelled.

“I am really sorry, Mr. Matsumoto. I am simply passing on the message on behalf of our guests. Please understand and forgive me…”

Many people were watching Yoshito, where hushed whispers could be heard around the lobby.

These people were putting their heads together and whispering amongst themselves in twos and threes. Although he could not make out exactly what they were saying, Yoshito could tell from the look and expression on their faces that they were all laughing at him and making fun of him!

He had always been very arrogant and felt that he would definitely secure the top spot amongst all the young Japanese entrepreneurs in terms of his abilities and capabilities.

However, it was totally beyond his expectations that the other party would actually be so lazy to even be bothered to see him at all, even when he had already taken the initiative to personally come and meet them today!

This caused Yoshito to feel a lot of hatred and resentment.

Yoshito clenched his fists tightly together and grit his teeth as he trembled violently out of anger.

The more confident and conceited a person was, the weaker his psychological tolerance would be.

The more a person’s pride was where he felt that everyone would have to look up to him, the more the person would be afraid that people would be looking down on him.

Yoshito was the perfect example.

And his face that was flushed red with shame and anger, only made him the object of scorn which invited even more ridicule from the people around him.

Although most people might not necessarily have Yoshito’s abilities and wealth, they could not help but feel strangely satisfied when they saw Yoshito making a fool out of himself in public.

When Yoshito’s assistant saw that everyone was laughing at him, he hurriedly stepped forward and asked in a low voice, “Boss, why don’t we leave first, in case someone who probably has malicious intentions decides to take a video of this situation and post it on the internet? It will be difficult for us if our image and reputation are tainted because of that…”

Yoshito gritted his teeth before he nodded in agreement.

When he turned around, he felt as though the entire world was laughing and making fun of him.

He could only bite the bullet and returned to his car.

As soon as he got into his car, Yoshito hurriedly urged his driver to speed off immediately because he was afraid that people would continue making fun and laughing at him if he left a little slower. He was fearful that he would have to listen to their ridicule and insults then.

His assistant could not help but persuade him.

“Boss, I think that the Schulz family must certainly feel that the overall strength of the Matsumoto family is still much worse off compared to that of the Takahashi family and the Ito family. Hence, they are probably only considering those two families as their partnership options. They do not want to waste any time on us, but it will certainly be their own loss!”

Yoshito was silent for a long time.

As he looked up, his eyes were bloodshot as he gritted his teeth and said, “So, they want to just choose between the Takahashi family and the Ito family? Very well, then! Since they do not appreciate it while still giving them face, they should not blame me for being cruel and ruthless! This time also happens to be the perfect opportunity for me to surpass both the Takahashi family and the Ito family in one swoop!”

His assistant asked in surprise.

“Boss, you…what do you mean by that? Why can’t I seem to understand what you are saying?”

Yoshito had a vicious expression on his face as he replied coldly, “You don’t need to understand anything! You just need to simply do as I say!”

His assistant immediately nodded and replied, “Boss, just give me your orders!”

Yoshito started rambling on, his voice set with determination and stone cold.

“First, I will write a cheque for twenty million dollars. I want you to bring it to the Iga family’s head and tell him that this is just a deposit. If he is interested, tell him to come and look for me at my house to discuss this further. If he is not interested, then tell him that this is my souvenir to him.”
