The expression on Sophie’s face turned solemn as soon as she heard this.

In fact, she had only mentioned that man earlier just so that she could piss her father off. However, when she thought about that man, Sophie could not help but feel a little worried for him.

When she thought about the fact that Machi might not be letting him off so quickly, Sophie immediately blurted out.

“The next time we meet Machi, I’ll be giving him a warning. If he dares to secretly attack that man after we have reached an agreement, then I will terminate our collaboration and partnership with him at any time!”

“Nonsense!!” Sheldon reprimanded Sophie sternly.

“As the Schulz family representative, everything should be done and negotiated for the sole interest of the Schulz family. How can you possibly allow a stranger and an unknown man to affect the interests of the Schulz family?! As long as we can get Machi to agree to the biggest concession clause, then what has the life and death of that stranger got to do with us anyway?”

Sophie felt her rage boiling within as she started rebelling, “That man only offended the Takahashi family because he was saving a young girl, who is also our countryman. So, how can I possibly allow the Takahashi family to kill him just like that?”

Sheldon replied disdainfully, “Then you should just choose not to look or interfere when the Takahashi family decides to kill him, right?”

Sophie gaped in disbelief. “Dad! How can you say that?! Don’t you have any principles or ethics at all?”

“Principles and ethics?” Sheldon replied coldly.

“My principles and ethics only exist for the interests of the Schulz family! I can give up on my principles and ethics anytime, as long as it is for the interests of the Schulz family!”

“You…”

Sophie was so infuriated that she was at a complete loss for words.

Seeing that tension was building, Jaime hurriedly attempted to resolve the dispute.

“Dad, Sophie, we haven't even finished discussing business yet. So, why are both of you already arguing?”

Sheldon had a gloomy expression on his face as he said, “Alright then. We should not talk about these trivial matters anymore. Sophie, regarding your MBA studies, we can discuss this matter further when you come home.”

“There is no need for any further discussion on this matter.” Sophie had a cold expression on her face as she said, “I have already received the admission notice from the Harvard School of Business in my mailbox. The semester will begin in August, so I will be leaving for the United States in May then.”

Sheldon wanted to continue saying something, but Jaime suddenly received a phone call. It was from one of the assistants who came to Tokyo together with them.

The other party spoke up on the other end of the line, “Young Master, the head of the Matsumoto family in Tokyo, Matsumoto Yoshito is at the front desk, and he is requesting to meet you and the young lady!”

“The Matsumoto family?” Jaime frowned as he asked, “Are you referring to the Matsumoto family that ranks third place in Tokyo?”

“That’s right!”

Jaime looked at the video conference interface on the computer and asked, “Dad, Sophie, Matsumoto family’s head, Matsumoto Yoshito is asking to see us. Should we meet him then?”

Sheldon replied in disdain, “As far as I know, the strength of the Matsumoto family is much worse off compared to that of the Takahashi family and the Ito family. We only need to make our decision between those two families. There is no need for us to waste any time and energy on that kind of garbage.”

Jaime told his assistant over the phone, “Please help me reject Matsumoto Yoshito. Just inform him that I am already resting and will not be seeing any more guests.”

Upon observing, Sophie voiced out.

“Brother, why don’t we just meet up with him? After all, Matsumoto Yoshito is actually a pretty capable person. It wasn’t an easy journey to level up the entire Matsumoto family based on his own strength and abilities. As the saying goes, we should not hit the person who had already surrendered to us. He is the head of the family, but he took the effort to come all the way to the hotel to personally meet us in person. He is already very humble. It is simply not right of us to refuse him at this point.”

Sheldon replied, “Sophie, it is thoughtful of you to think everything through. However, you should not put too much thought into everything. You will only end up overdoing it and going beyond your limits. If you really agree to meet up with Matsumoto Yoshito tonight, then perhaps the head of the fourth, fifth, or even fortieth or fiftieth families in Tokyo might swarm to the hotel just to request to see you tomorrow then. Would you be able to handle that?”

“Well…” Sophie suddenly did not know how to respond to her father.

Sheldon continued speaking, “That’s enough. I think we should just listen to your brother and turn down his request to meet up with both of you.”

Sophie nodded slowly.

“Okay then…”
