Zoya gasped in shock. She could feel sweat gathered over her face. Her back slowly leaned on the wall and slid down processing his words. She wrapped her hands around her knees and hugged herself tightly. She let her tears flow. All she could feel a stinging pain in her heart. She could feel her body trembling after the whole past flashed in front of her eyes.

When she looked around, suddenly his house felt so much foreign to her eyes. In each breath, she felt losing herself after hearing his words. She felt unable to trust on him anymore.

Sahir is the Sultan! 

The ruthless leader of this town!!

Now it has started making sense to her. Those fearful reactions & stares of people whenever she used to be with him & how her problems used to get solved quickly. How those people who have troubled her before got vanished suddenly. Everything was a lie. She felt warm tears spreading over her face. He has hidden everything from her, he betrayed her!

The person she has trusted the most broke her faith. Her best friend lied to her. Betrayed her feelings.

But she know the harsh fact of her life, that he still loves her!

This is the truth wrapped in his big lie!

After what happened in the past she thought he would have moved on and changed but no. She chuckled insanely on her stupidity. He loves her then & he loves her now too but he is not the same one whom she is in love.

And she can't love a man who kills anyone to live!

She wiped her tears and got up with the support of the door. His bitter truthful words kept ringing in her ears when she straight marched towards the closet, grabbed her clothes, and started putting in her bag. Without fail, she kept her passport & other important documents.

She took one final look at their childhood photo. It angered her a lot. Her hand gripped on the handle of the bag.

"Goodbye Sahir"

She murmured looking at him in the photo and walked out of his room, from his life.

6 months before 

The Beginning 

Chennai Afternoon : 

"How much time it will be going to take?"

I wept the sweat on my face because of too much heat. The season has been windy hot and humid because Monsoon is going to start. It has become too unpleasant to go out in the afternoon. While sitting on the backseat of Rabia's bike I and Rabia constantly cursed to the traffic.

"I don't know Zoya, seems like the road ahead has been covered with security" Rabia looks ahead, to see the security and police protection, blocked the road temporarily, and making the road clear for someone.

I couldn't properly look ahead because the vehicles have blocked my view. "What is happening?"

"VIP passing !" Rabia annoyingly told me.

'VIP Passing ?' I murmured &

tilt my head to look ahead. Soon a line of black sleek Porsche cars drives off in front of us one by one.

My eyes fell on a Porsche black car which has a golden " S " at the front, shining in the sun. The only person who possesses that S symbol car, which is none other than the Sultan.

"Oh hell, I should have guessed!" I mumbled getting more irritated. It's HIS car.

"What ?" Rabia asked. The person I hated from the core of my heart & the person who always creates inconvenience for others, the famous Sultan! 

I felt annoyed to even describe him thus I just said, "Nothing there is one human oops sorry idiotic moron in the world think themselves as a king of the world!"

"Oh Zoya, you and your hatred for Sultan. Why don't you just ignore him and concentrate on Sahir?" 

Rabia laughed at me, she knew how much I like Sahir. Some feelings attach in our life which becomes hard to vanish it. My feelings for Sahir are the same. Even though I have always denied being in love with him to everyone and to him also but Rabia never believed in me. Soon the cars passed away and the security was removed. The vehicles started moving ahead.

Once the Porsche cars went ahead, police protection gets removed & security scatters away, unblocking the road for the public and signalling the vehicles to move on.

Soon we reached the Cafeteria. Both I and Rabia goes inside & grabbed our chairs. Rabia ordered herself sandwiches and cappuccino while I ordered filtered coffee.

"Now show me !" I clasped my hands on the table & feeling already excited.

"Here it is!

Open mic singing audition in the 'My Lady', Chennai's one of the famous five-star hotels. Whoever will pass this audition round will get a chance to sing in the 'My Lady' with 5000 rupees per day!"

"5000 rupees per day ?????" I exclaimed. That raised my hopes to the new level.

"Yesss. Isn't it sounds fulfilling ?'' Rabia asked her while chewing her sandwich.

"Very well, I'm gonna grab this opportunity!" I giggled looking at the advertisement.

"And what about Sahir? Have you told him?" Rabia asked her, wiggling her eyebrows. I rolled her eyes at her.

"Uh-hun. I will give him a surprise later." I said keeping the advertisement paper in my bag and rubbed my palms to hold the hot cup of coffee imagining myself singing in front of everyone. I just can't wait for the audition tonight.
