procrastinating of my daughter

A tall muscular figure appeared outside Lamborghini in the parking lot of CE company with one hand tucked in his pocket and the other hand scrolling through his phone. Eddy’s appearance was completely different from what he was a while ago at his home.

Lifting his head he glanced at the lift with his brown eyes and waited for the door to open. Taking his hand out of his pocket, he ran it on his black hair which was neatly groomed backward. He usually kept his hair short which made him look smart.

In the business sector, he was only a bachelor man with a good dressing sense with an intelligent and smart mind with friendly nature. People were ready to do anything to work in his company because not only was his company on the top list but also the CEO Eddy used to treat every working member equally.

For him, no person was big or small. He used to have a feeling that everyone was equally important to run his business.

"Good Morning my fellows," he greeted everyone walking inside the hall.

Before entering his office, he looked for his assistant Daisy and called her in. Soon after he sat on his chair, there was a knock on the door.

“Come in…” Eddy said, flipping the file on his desk.

“CEO!” Daisy entered the room.

“Uh! Yeah, Daisy, will you please help me to prepare for today’s meeting?” Eddy questioned giving a short glance at her.

“Sure, anything else?” She replied nodding her head.

“Um! Inform me soon after the party arrives,” instructed Eddy.

“Okay, CEO!” replied Daisy and left the office. 

Eddy got back to the file on his hand and was concentrating to work on it, but suddenly the big ocean blue eyes appeared fresh on his mind. He placed the file back on the desk and rubbed his eyes.

He no longer wanted to work. So he spun his chair backward and glanced at the city which was viewed from his office. The busy city ahead made him take a deep breath making him realize that he too was a busy man and he had no time for anything except for his work.

Almost for an hour, Eddy was lost in deep thought when suddenly someone knocked at the door, and in a second Daisy pooped her head in and said, “the party has arrived, CEO.”

“Okay, I will be there in a minute,” replied Eddy and turned back to his desk.

After a while, he stood on his feet and made his way towards the conference hall. When he entered the hall five people were already seated on the chair and was waiting for his arrival.

Among them, only three were the party who had arrived for the meeting rest two were Eddy's assistant and manager. Everyone stood and greeted him soon after his arrival. Greeting them back he walked to his seat and took his place. Soon after that, the opponent party started the introduction.

"Hello, everyone, I am Jack CEO of WW Company. This is my assistant, Ali,” indicating to the lady sitting next to him, the man in his forties said. He then pointed to the man next to Ali and continued, “and he is my manager Sam."

Eddy felt weird upon seeing the way the CEO of WW introduced his member as the introduction of three people was provided by the CEO himself.

But he didn't care much and got on with his introduction, “Nice Meeting you CEO Jack. I am Eddy CEO of CE company and I would like to introduce you to my members.” He gestured to his members to provide their introduction.

“Goodmorning, I am Daisy, assistant of CEO Eddy,” said his assistant.

“Goodmorning, everyone and I am Joe, manager of CEO Eddy,” replied the man who was seated beside Daisy.

After the introduction when they were about to get into the topic suddenly someone entered the room hastily. When Eddy darted towards the person, his eyes widened in shock. The blue ocean eyes caught his sight which was lowered right after when it met his eyes.

It was the same person from the woods who swam lake and ran out of the woods dragging him along. Same person with a weird Black Woods and Green Woods place name and not to forget the one who was gone by the time Eddy got his home. The person whom he didn’t bother to ask her name.

"You..." Eddy was about to stand on his feet and say something but suddenly the girl approached Jack and mumbled, "Sorry, father for being late."

Glancing at her, Jack said, "It's alright, you can take your seat.”

She nodded her head and sat beside Sam not giving a single glance to Eddy. She just sat lowering her head.

“CEO Eddy, meet my daughter Selina,” said Jack glancing at Eddy.

“Nice meeting you, Selina,” said Eddy hoping she would give a chance to glance at her eyes. But it didn't happen.

Keeping her head down Selina said, “nice meeting you too, CEO Eddy.”

Eddy was so disappointed with her act. How can she be this? She didn’t think twice before gripping his wrist and dragging him with her out of the woods early morning, but now she was not giving even a single glance at him which was annoying him.

“Seems like your daughter didn’t like the idea of joining you to this meeting CEO Jack,” Eddy said with a witty smile on his face trying his best to sound it as a funny question.

“Well, if the procrastinating of my daughter upset you then I am so sorry about it, Ceo Eddy. While she is the one to handle the company these days, she had to deal with other works. I just showed up in place of her because I thought she would not be able to attend this meeting but luckily she made up," explained Jack.

“Well I am glad we got to work together and I was thinking…’

“Can we go to our subject?” Selina suddenly interrupted in a curt voice-hearing it Eddy was stunned. The way she sounded was totally different from the way she spoke that morning.

Eddy began to realize that she was not the girl he had met that morning, but her ocean blue eyes were making it hard to believe it.
