Chapter 4

Lia woke up at 7 am, as it was her habit to wake up early. Practices can't be changed in one go. Even though she had quit her college to take care of her father, Her habit of waking up early for college remain the same. 

 She slowly made her way to the bathroom. When she was finished, she decided to go out of the room.

 As soon as she opened the door of her room, she was hit by the smell of eggs and bacon. She made her way downstairs, and she saw her husband cooking breakfast.

 As on cue, her husband looked at her.

 "Oh! You are awake! Good morning. I just finished making breakfast for both of us. Come join me."

 The Andreas said rather cheerfully.

 "Good morning. You seem happy today. Any particular reason? " The Lia asked politely.

 " My sister in law and my brother had a baby boy last night. " Andreas said with a huge smile. Lia smiled too.

 " Congratulations," She replied, to which she got another smile from her husband.

 " By the way, why are you up so early. It's barely 7 am. " Andreas questioned.

 " Well, it's my habit, I guess. My morning classes used to be at 8 am, so I used to wake up at 7 am. I think my body is still used to that routine. " she explained.

 The Andreas hummed in response, and they started eating their food. Lia swears it was the best eggs and bacon she ever had. She stole a glance at her husband and found him lost in thoughts.

 After some time, the Andreas finally asked" Lia, would you consider completing your studies?" Lia was taken aback.

 "I didn't quite cause I want to, so yeah, if I get chance, I would love to join studying again. "The girl murmured.

 " I know some excellent teachers. I'll arrange a teacher for you so that you can complete your second year from home if that's okay with you. " Andreas suggested.

 Lia felt like crying. She loved studying. She nodded." I would love to. Thank you, Mr husband. "

 Andreas somehow felt proud of the word, Husband. It was the first time that the girl called him Husband.

 Rest of the breakfast was carried on by silence. That is when Andreas decided to break it.

" I took a day off. We have to go to the office to get a marriage certificate and also we are going to go shopping. Dad told me to take you to shop for some new outfit. " 

He explained. Lia just nodded.

 After nearly two hours, the couple was seated in the car. Drive was full of silence, but somewhat not so awkward anymore. Maybe it was because they had a little chat this morning or because of the radio that was playing in the car.

 They arrived at the office after twenty minutes ride and went straight to the table that is supposed to give you marriage certificates. The officer was somewhat grumpy.

 He took a look at the couple and started asking questions. He began with Lia.

 "Are you even an adult? " he asked, somewhat glaring at the girl. She felt uncomfortable.

 " i-i am 18 years old," she spoke looking down.

 "What are you do for a living?"

 " Student"

 " Reason to marry Smith Andreas?" he asked, looking at Andreas.

" I love him." She lied through her teeth as instructed by Andreas.

 The officer asked the same question to Andreas, which Andreas answered confidentially.

 "Reason to marry the teenager? " he spoke. 

 "I am in love with her." Lie Andreas spoke as he pulled Lia closer to him.

 "Okay. Go to the room at the right and Have a photo click of both of you." 

 He instructed.

 Soon all the formalities were done, and they were heading back.

 They arrived at a mall. Andreas directly headed to Chanel showroom.

 Lia had only heard about this shop, never dreamed of going in.

 "Buy anything you want, Lia," said Andreas. Lia noticed that every employee at the shop bowed to Andreas.

 " I don't need anything. "Lia said Because she was used to having limited clothing. It was never her issue, and besides, she doesn't want to burden Andreas even more.

 Andreas looked frustrated.

" Show me the latest line for my wife and be quick. "He said to the manager of the shop. Soon all the employees were busy showing Andreas shoes, jewellery, clothes etc.

 " Pack and send everything to my apartment today itself. Make the bill from my account. " Andreas said rather arrogantly.

 Lia feels intimated by Andreas, scared even. Andreas looked irritated, and Lia doesn't know the reason. Maybe it was her itself.

 " Let's go, Lia," he said as he walked out of the shop without even waiting for Lia.

 He was frustrated. He felt like he was babysitting her.

 He walked direct to the car and made a small drive to the nearest restaurant.

 "What would you like to eat Lia?" he asked. Lia just shrugged because the She knows nothing about the things that are mentioned in the menu.

 Andreas sighed and ordered for both of them. They had their lunch quietly. 

 Not daring to look at each other. Ignoring each other for a different reason, Husband too frustrated and wife too scared.

 How are they going to cop with each other on the long road called "life"?
