As I reducing the amount of my paperwork, T.A.S still haven't give up my rewards for the quest completions. I was wondering what is that damaged magical observer.

"TAS…I'm still waiting though…".

Just like what T.A.S Said, I asked Elijah to have her Staff to look for a weird cube from the Bandits Loots, I only waited for a few minutes before Major Eliza from Resource department comes into my office with a 10x10 inch Silver cube in her hand. After putting the cube on my table, she left and leave me alone in my office.

"What's so magical about this cube?..seems like a solid silver to me….".

[It's a magical observer control panel…this thing was 600 000 years old, it's dated back to the ancient High Human civilizations…to put it simply, this is what you call a satellite back on earth…try Identify it…]. (T.A.S)

Descriptions:

MO- 501 was one of the Black Keep Empire Magical Observer that were made for communications purpose and weapon of mass destruction's. It's a Living monster that were made by combining delicate Alchemy creations process and Mana tinkering, due to 604 786 years of disconnection, MO- 501 has deteriorated and several of it's functions were discarded to ensure it's survival.

"That's was one hell of a story….what a loyal living satellite….now, how do I use it?….".

[Turn the Ring Insignia backwards and set you palm on the surface of the cube…then just say 'commence link'..]. (T.A.S)

Following T.A.S instructions, I set my palm on the cube. After saying the command sentence, the cube came to life, rows of magical engrave lit up on the cube surface.

"MO-501 ACTIVATE…USER IDENTIFIED..HIBERNATING MODE DISABLED…MO-501 FUNCTIONING NORMALLY…LINKING TO CURRENT LOCATIONS..SUCCESS…UPDATING USER LOG..CHANGING AUTHORITATIVE PERSONNEL…GREETING HIS MAJESTY 103RD KAISER MIES SAI OF INDEPENDENT STATE OF AETERNUM..". (Cube @ MO-501)

As the cube/MO-501 finishes it's 1 hours of 'system update', the blinding magical runes finally settle down and settle and on the cube surface. There's only one button on the cubes and a single latch to open an empty content inside the cube, MO-501 tells me that it's for putting a mana source for it's consumption. The buttons was to access it's functions, sadly the damaged functions can't be repaired, still I supposed having a satellite was a good outcome, considering I got it from raiding a bandits. After dumping 20 B grade monster core, MO-501 was fully charged, I have command it to activate all it's functions.

"Hmmmm….MO-501, is there any current user in that currently using your communications relay?..".

It might be concerning if there's anyone still alive and using the satellite.

"...THERE'S 0 USER…DETECTING... 15 067 856 172 COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE DETECTED..NON ACTIVE…DETECTING NEW COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE IN HIS MAJESTY 103RD KAISER MIES SAI AREA… SIMILAR DEVICE ALL AROUND AETERNUM…..REQUIRED DIRECT CONTACT WITH DEVICES TO CALIBRATE..".

"i guess direct contact means…this...uh, that's correct I guess..".

inserting my phone inside the latch, the cube starts to glow once again.

"NEW DEVICES DETECTED.CONTACT DETECTED. COMMENCE CALIBRATING…UNIDENTIFIED ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY DETECTED..NO MANA FLUCTUATION DETECTED...LINKING AND CALIBRATING SUCCESS..DUE TO LINKING WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY..POSSIBLE UPDATE AVAILABLE. SUGGESTING SYSTEM UPDATE..PLEASE CONFIRM..". (Cube @ MO-501)

"Update confirm..proceed..".

Immediately after I allow the update, a screeching loud noise boom the room, I find it similar to the sound when you tried to connect to internet back in the early time of internet.

[What about me then?…are you going to just ignore me??..]. (T.A.S)

"Oh you too…just update yourself…".

Like a brash A.I as it was, T.A.S updated itself after getting a green light from me.

"I guess that's it....I continued doing my paper work then…..I forgot it's already done…I guess I'm gonna take a walk then…".

I already did all my paperwork before I fiddling with the cube, seeing that all I have to do now is wait, I guess it's better for me to take a walk around my small kingdom.

It was close to a winter seasons by now, the temperature was cold even at 2 in the afternoon. Leaving the Keep, casually I walk around alone enjoying the beautiful view and refreshing air. Different from other town/city in this world Aeternum was clean, there's not one rubbish I saw laying around, the flower bed along side the road was tend nicely, I can see people walk around smiling around me though not many still, it wasn't like a ghost town.

"Quite a view isn't it?…..Sareen I knew you were there..come out and walk beside me…didn't I tell Elijah that I want to walk alone?..".

I noticed Sareen one of Elijah Secretary was tailing me, in my own shadow. She probably used magic to do so, she was quite good I don't noticed her for the whole 15 minutes before I realize that my shadow has eyes.

"Her Lady ordered me so, Please forgive me Sir…". (Cpt. Sareen)

Kneeling on the ground, Sareen was partially shocked and sorry as she was easily discovered. Both Sareen and Selie was trained in Magic arts by Elijah, No one but her Master Elijah could detect her when she used her Shadow manipulations magic, not until now.

"Get up..let's go...it's quite surreal isn't?..not long ago, this was nothing but a ruins and bandit lairs..and all this people were slaves…now look, quite a transformations right?..".

"It's all thanks to you Sir…you're just like a beacon of light in this dark times…..we were blessed to be able to follow you..". (Cpt Sareen)

"i just doing what I want…Oh Look there's a stall opened…..Hello there..what are you selling here?..".

As we walking entering the common area, there's a small park in between the apartment. It's just a place were civilian would go out and enjoy themselves after work, though small I designed it to have a similar look to the Earth small park, naturally there's fountains, benches and playing ground.

Seeing there's a small stall with a simple table and few basket of products, I head over to look, the stall owner was a middle aged woman, I believe they called her Aunt Melody. Aunt Melody were shocked by the appearance of me and Sareen, surge of panic and fear loomed over her face.

"i..I…Please punish me MASTER!!..". (Aunt Melody)

Prostrating herself on the ground, Aunt Melody were crying in fear of her life. As a citizen of I.S.O.A everyone naturally know my face and the ranks in military, she probably thought she done something wrong, for someone with power to come at her.

".….Aunt Melody right?…I'm pretty sure ' Please punish me' wasn't a correct answer to hello…right?..".

"umm…mm..yes, master…it's Hello..". (Aunt Melody)

"Good, that's more like it…could you just stand up?..I'm not here to punish anyone, I'm just strolling around looking at my people…..so, what is you selling over here?..it looks like a jerky?..".

I could easily use Identify on it to know, but rather than that I wanted some interactions.

"i..it's..meat jerky ,master…I made it myself, I bought some monster meat from the patrolling guards….and sold it here for some extra credits…please master, Madam Captain..I don't know it was an offence to sell..". (Aunt Melody)

Rubbing her hands together, Aunt Melody profusely asking for forgiveness from both of us.

"Maam, as Mr. President said, we weren't looking for any fault or looking to punish anyone..Mr. President only wanted a peaceful walk, please refrain from any frantic reactions..and respond normally as you would to your customer..". (Cpt Sareen)

The serious Cpt Sareen fired casually, though it might looks like a normal replied her eyes saying otherwise, like 'Act normal woman or I will make you pay'. she act exactly like her teacher.

"Ehem!..it's not an offense to do trading or anything, as long as it's not against the rule, you could do anything you want…beside, I think it's good seeing my people now able to fend and develop by themselves…anyway back to the jerky, how much is it?…".

I'm more interested in the jerky and how she sell them.

"i only have Dire wolf jerky and Radishorn Pickles…I normally sell them by fist…1 fistful is 2 credits…". (Aunt Melody)

She Pick one of each product and gave them to me.

"Hmm..this is good, even better than any jerky I've ever taste before…I guessing it was your family recipe right?…see Sareen, I knew it…here taste them…".

Nodding at my questions, aunt melody looked slightly relax and happy as I praise her jerky. Passing it to Sareen she also like them. Dire wolf jerky tasted a bit chewy, it was made from an oversized wolf, as for Radishorn pickles, it was more salty and sweet kinda similar to a radish pickle on earth, but unlike on earth Radishorn was a vegetable that look much more similar to a bamboo shot on earth except the bamboo shot was on steroid, simply said everything in fantasma was either oversized or undersized to their counterpart on earth.

"But, you should changed the way you sell them…selling them by fist wasn't a good way, especially when the customer pick themselves…what if a giant person come and buy, then it's you will be in loss...let me suggest the best way to do it…..".

I took around 2 hours of uncontrollable lecture about how to sell her jerky correctly, everyone were focus on the topic. I also made it light as possible and as the time passes we start to laugh and share light stories, I got to into the conversations and teaching her until, Sareen told me off. In the end I left the common area with a fist of jerky, by 6 pm both T.A.S and MO-501 has finished their software update.
