Chapter 5: Ethan Sparks

Upon entering the Hunters Association Academy, Titania made sure to survey her surroundings.

Since it was considered one of the prestigious academies in the world, it really looked like one.

The academy had a large area inside. In front, Titania could see the football field where several students were playing.

'Oh, I thought this is a training ground for hunters. It seems like students here could also enjoy playing sports.' She thought to herself.

There were lots of buildings inside the campus, some were two-story, some were three-story and the highest building was an eight-story building.

"Wow, this academy is pretty cool." She gasped in surprise.

Titania's eyes were roaming around the area but she made sure that she would not lose the one she was following in front.

She smiled again as she remembered how this guy helped her to enter this academy.

'I need to thank him.' she made a mental note to herself.

The man suddenly turned left and entered a building. She ran in order to catch up with him.

'He walks really fast.' she complained to herself.

She saw him greeted by another man. She just stood there, maintaining a distance between the two men and her.

But the distance was enough for her to hear what they were talking about.

"Oh men, you are finally here. I thought you won't show your face here." The blondie man greeted him enthusiastically as he put his arm around his shoulder.

The man who helped her just stayed silent with an annoyed expression in his face.

"He is handsome but I think he will look more attractive if he will just smile," Titania mumbled softly.

"Pfft... what's wrong with your expression. If you don't want to stay here you could always leave."

"Besides, you are Ethan Spark 'the Rule Breaker'." The man started laughing at him.

'Oh, so his name is Ethan Spark. It is a nice name. But I am curious why he called him the Rule Breaker.' Titania was becoming more intrigued by the guy who just helped her a while ago.

"I could have done that if the President did not use an underhanded strategy that leaves me no choice." Finally, Ethan started to talk.

"What do you mean by that? What underhanded strategy they used to make the mighty hunter Ethan Spark surrendered with them?" The blondie man asked him inquisitively.

"They threatened me that if I will not listen to them this time, they will not activate my cards. They freeze my credit cards and all my savings accounts." Ethan lamented to his friend as he gritted his teeth.

"If I have known that they will do that, I should have withdrawn all my money in my account," he added.

The blondie man burst into laughter. He was laughing so hard that he almost choked in between his laugh.

"Don't laugh Jeston! This is not funny." Ethan glared at his friend.

Titania was just amused hearing their conversation. Even though she could not fully understand what they were talking about but she could somehow connect some dots.

'Ethan is only here because he was threatened by their President using his saving accounts. Obviously, he did not want to come here.'

'Whoah, I am lucky to meet him today. Because of that, I was able to enter this academy.' Titania giggled from that thought.

Her laughter caught the attention of the two men in front of her.

"Well... well... well. It seems like we have a new member here. May I know your name, my lovely lady?" Jeston immediately moved towards Titania.

Before he could further walk closer to her, a large hand grabbed his shoulder to stop him.

He turned around and gave Ethan a questioning look.

"Don't ever think of flirting with her. You will be scaring her off. She just a new student here." Ethan explained to Jeston.

"Oh... a new student? I did not hear that there is student recruitment at this moment." Jeston was confused.

"As far as I could remember, the management announced that new students will start attending the academy three months from now."

"I am the one who recruited her, fool!" Ethan hit him in the head.

"Ouch... why you have to hit me like that!" Jeston exclaimed.

"Because you are planning to make a move on my new recruit student!" Ethan spat back at him.

Titania cleared her throat. She could not bear to stand and stay silent anymore.

"Hello, I am Titania Eros. I want to be a student here. Please be good to me." She said as she bowed at them after her introduction.

"Wow, you are too formal and too polite. No need for that." Jeston smiled at her.

"Oh, by the way. I am Jeston Smith. I wonder if he already introduced to you his name."

Titania shook her head as a response. Jeston let out a soft chuckle while Ethan was just giving him a cold stare as he crossed his arms.

"Well, this grumpy guy beside me who brought you here is Ethan Spark. Please be patient with his behavior. He really has some attitude problem."

"Hey... I am just in front of you. Why are you making me look bad." Ethan complained.

Titania just smiled at them awkwardly.

"Ahem, It is my pleasure to meet you both. I am really thankful for Mr. Spark for helping me out. By the way, am I really consider a student of this academy, now?" Titania wanted to make sure.

"Ahem... if we follow the rules, certainly you are not," Jeston said a matter-of-factly, that made Titania's expression change.

Noticing her saddened expression, Ethan hit Jeston again in his head before he spoke up.

"When did I give a damn with the rules? I said she is a student here now, so she is certainly a student here. Is that clear?"

"Yeah... Alright, you don't have to hit me twice. I am not yet done talking!" Jeston glared at him.

Then Jeston turned to Titania and told her the remaining things he wanted to say before he was interrupted and hit by Ethan.

"Back to your question, every hunter of this academy can recommend one student under their names."

"And for the first time after so many years, you are the first one who is recommended by Ethan. In other words, for the first time, Ethan used his authority to recruit a student which is unlikely for him to do. So consider yourself lucky." Jeston whispered to Titania.

Titania went back to her cheerful self after hearing that. She flashed her brightest smile at them as she moved towards Ethan.

She hugged Ethan suddenly because of her joy. Her action made the two men stunned in a moment. Ethan froze on his spot while Jeston's eyes widened.

Titania who did not sense the awkward atmosphere continued to thank Ethan for his help. "Thank you so much, Mr. Ethan Spark. I will always remember your kindness."

"Promise, I will do my best. I won't disappoint you." Titania assured him.

After Ethan recovered from the shock, he cleared his throat and simply removed Titania's arms which were still wrapped around his body.

"Alright... Jeston I will leave Titania in your care for now. I have to go somewhere. Please assist her in her admission here."

Without waiting for their response, Ethan turned around and walked away as fast as possible.

Because of that, Titania and Jeston did not see the changes in Ethan's face. The blood rushed to his cheeks because of that sudden hug from Titania.

For the first time, Ethan Spark became flustered because of a certain new recruit student, Titania Eros.

The two persons who were left just stood there with their eyes continued to follow Ethan's retreating back until he was no longer in their line of sights.

Jeston leaned over Titania and whispered to her.

"Don't be deceived by his kindness and his good looks." He warned her.

Titania gave him a confused look and asked him "Why did you say that? He is your friend right."

Jeston burst into a laugh. "Yeah... because I am his friend that's why I am warning you. I knew him inside and outside." He said confidently.

"Hmm, can you enlighten me with that? Can you tell me something more about him?" She asked him curiously.

"Ethan Spark one of the most skilled hunters that Hunter Association had ever produced. But also the most hard-headed one." Jeston started to give her information about Ethan.

"Really? He is a skilled one?" Jeston nodded at her in response.

"But that's not my point. Are you really listening to me?" Jeston frowned at her and Titania just smiled at him sheepishly.

"I repeat, he is hard-headed, the rule breaker. The management is having a hard time controlling that punk."

"He would do the things that he wanted to do, f*ck the rules of the Hunter Association. He did not care about them."

"Oh, that sounds interesting." She blurted out happily. J

Jeston looked at her with disbelief. 'Is she really listening to me? I think Ethan already bewitched this young lovely lady.'
