Vincent's P.O.V

I ran my hand through my hair, gripping it, clearly pissed thinking who has dared to mess with me, with Vincent De Costello.

During the last few weeks, someone in the family dared to give out information about the things we plan to do and definitely I'm no fool to think that it's just a coincidence that the rivals happened to do the things we, beforehand planned.

Just a while ago, Alexander, one of my best friend, confirmed that there is definitely a rat in the house and it's not long before we catch it and since that moment, I can not stop thinking of ways I would make that person suffer from messing with me when every single man in my mafia know all too well that above everything, what I hate the most is betrayal.

I  openly admit that I am no saint, yes, I kill people but it's my job. I never wanted to be a part of any of this but I had to since I have no other siblings. I am the only heir.

My father trained me to be a leader since I was a kid, he trained me to never show emotions and always stay tough which in that way no one can ever bring me down.

I was eighteen when I took over my father's mafia, people used to think that I'm just a fool whom they can easily mess with, but I proved them wrong and since then they fear me and I felt that their fear they have satisfies me and the power makes me complete.

After my meeting with my men, there I sat in the car with Alexander and Marco my best friends who both are too busy bickering at each other.

For someone in the mafia they are too childish but not when we are on a mission. Alexander, apart from being my best friend, is also my right-hand man and Marco, his job is to hack or anything related to tracking.

" Let's go to Mario's diner, it's been so long since we went there," Marco suggested, which I hummed in response as I was too tired to argue with him and Alexander who knew all too well that it's useless to decline as we know well that whenever Marco is hungry, his thinking capability automatically shuts down.

Mario's an old friend of my father. During our teenage days, back when my father used to still run the mafia, me and the boys spent most of our time in Mario's diner. He was like a second father to us. I and the boys respected him a lot because to him we're not in a mafia just a normal person.

As soon as we stepped a foot inside the diner, the entire place fell silent. I smirked, clearly enjoying it.

After we sat, I didn't fail to notice the girl coming towards our table.

She's around 5'2, with straight brown hair that reaches her waist.

Upon reaching us, I wasted no time admiring her beauty, how pink and full her lips are, and how her enormous hazel eyes shining luminously that I almost felt that I was getting drawn into them.

I was so busy drinking her beauty when she suddenly spoke. Her voice sounds so serene and angelic, and it feels so calming and addictive that one can listen to her for hours.

I noticed that she's trying really hard to stay calm and sound professional, pretty clear she's afraid of us, and I don't really blame her though.

"I'll get a cheesy burger, a fries, and a coke, please," said Marco, making me snap out my daze.

Just as the little rose was about to write the order, the pen fell out of her hand as it shook violently. As she was about to bend to get the pen, I already picked it up for her as a queen never bows down. I hand the pen to her intentionally brushing my fingertips against her, wanting to feel her skin.

She looks up to me with slightly widening her hazel eyes and I see her cheeks getting red. I smirked at her, knowing I have got an effect on her.

After she got our order, she literally ran away from our table.

"Poor little thing, you scared the shit out of her," Alex said as type away on his phone. But I didn't actually care as I was still in a daze and got one motive in my head that I will make mine soon.

The Waitress   Chapter 39

Venessa's POV.Driving back home, my little brain still couldn't register what was happening. Everything's happening too fast. First I met up with Andrew, got myself kidnapped and beaten up and now I'm being dropped off to my home, which is really considerate of them. They could have left me all alone on the streets in the dark but they didn't.Too caught up with my own thoughts, I didn't realise that Andrew was talking to me until he placed his hand on top of mine making me quickly pull my hand away, making him chuckle." would be careful if I were you, Venessa" he laughed but I paid no heed to him. "But anyways, feel free to come to me though, if Vincent gets tired of you". He added making my head snap towards his direction."In your dreams, Andrew. I'd rather die than come to you again. You're the biggest snake, I have ever seen." I spat gripping the papers in my hand so tight.

Venessa's P.O.VOpening my eyes, I couldn't help but wince by how my head is throbbing with pain. Sitting up, I look at my surroundings and feel my hands shake and my heart starts to pounder. I'm definitely not at mine and Vincent's room.

Venessa's P.O.VReaching the table, I couldn't help but frown by looking at the sight in front of me. He didn't tell me he was bringing a friend along, a friend that looks so terrifying, but I shouldn't judge him by his looks, after all, there's a saying that never judges a book by its cover.
