I scowl at him, but he already turns his attention towards his breakfast.

“As always, your food is the best,” He compliment.

Curious?

I always had my own time at the base when Kayden is out of town for work. I mentally laugh.

Was it really because of work?

The guys always cook by themselves when I’m not here. So, when I had the chance, I’ll be their cook.

Thank you, mom. Thank you for letting me help you cook since I was six.

I know my family can hire a cook, but my mother insists that she wanted to cook.

My family nor my friends know about my blackmailed matters. Except for the friends which I got from the gang.

They didn’t know where I’ve gone on the night. I’ll always make an excuse. I feel remorseful at them cause I am good at lying.

I felt relieved when Kayden asked me to move in with him—saving me from being suspected by my family. It’s easier to escape from suspicions if I live with one person who is undoubtedly not home most of the time.

Rather than living with my family, who had ears open even at midnight, given that all of us are a light sleeper.

“Vale?”

I felt sick hearing this gang leader calling me by my nickname or giving me a nickname. But, somehow, I got used to it, though.

“Yeah?”

I realize that his plate is now empty as he looks at me with guilt?

Shoot me.

This gang leader is not the Keith that I used to mock in my head.

“I lied,” he confessed.

I tense.

Just pull the trigger, man!

The-asshole-gang leader is confessing!

“W-what are you trying to say?”

“I didn’t hire another woman to take your job,” he explained.

A loud clap sounds bounce on the wall of the mansion. I stand up with fury in my eyes as I ignore the sting from the contact of my palm and his cheek.

You’re right. It’s not a clap. It’s the sound of my palm slapping the most feared gang, Black Rose, gang leader’s face.

I am too damn angry. I was right. If I were sent to the mission yesterday, I wouldn’t have to know that my boyfriend was cheating on me.

I shouldn’t-wasn’t-supposed to know him cheating on me. Then, maybe we could still live and love together. Heck, I wouldn’t felt this pain, choking me.

I look at him with sheer hatred. I didn’t even realize my hands balling into a fist as my teeth gritted. His friends hasten towards us, obviously hearing the slap that I sent to their friend with puzzlement on their faces.

My eyes burns, aching to let out the stream of rivers. Okay, maybe I should let one tear go. Just one will be enough.

Guess what? My eyes betrayed me as the tears rolled down my cheeks continuously. I chuckle coldly and wipe my tears.

“I thought you understand. I almost thought you care. (sniffle) You’re right. He doesn’t deserve me nor my tears. Do you think you deserve it? No. I forgot that you’re heartless, cruel, a player, cold-blood killer, asshole, arrogant jerk!”

“If you had sent me to the mission yesterday (sniffle)...I wouldn’t have to see them. I will still live with him right now and..I...I.. wouldn’t have to feel like this..”

With that, I walk away from them. I run towards the staircase and into Keith’s room. Grabbing my car keys and slipping on my boots.

His clothes?

I’ll throw it into the garbage.
