"I can't believe it." The words came more like a whisper. Eyes still glued to the screen.
"You better do," Faith uttered. "This shit is amazing with a capital 'a'."

The False Facade CHAPTER FORTY
LauraIt was a Tuesday afternoon. I didn't know what to do with my life. I was so bored. And I felt useless. Mrs. Alonso had gone to get some groceries. Her son, Jose, was in school. Nobody was at home. I was practically home alone. Then, I idea struck me. I had to invite Faith over. So, I placed a call to her, asking her to come over. She did, and I couldn't be happier."Hey, girl." She engulfed me in a hug. She looked beautiful. Her hair was shorter, that meant that she had a hair cut. She work leather pants and a leather jacket. That was Faith, always slaying."I'm glad you came." I said, almost in a cry."Uh, that's because you are bored, right?""Of course, not." I countered. "I wanted to see you.""Oh, yeah?""Yeah? You don't believe me."She shrugged. "Whatever. So, you hav

Laura By the time I was done baking, I was smoldering hot. All my body was glistening with sweet. Not saying that baking was a task, of course not. I enjoyed doing it. The issue, however, as that it was time taking, and energy consuming. Thankfully and luckily for me, Mrs. Alonso was here to help. "I'll go have a shower now," I said to Mrs. Alonso. She nodded and walked into the room. My shower was pretty quick. I made sure I washed my hair properly. After doing that, I realised the blonde colour was beginning to fade. What I did, I quickly dried myself and left the shower. Then, I started dying my hair I anew. I knew deep down within me that dying my hair each time wasn't healthy. It had been something terrible for one of my college friends. The girl wasn't in love with her natural ginger red hair. What she did, she dyed her hair coffee brown just because the guy she was crushing on appeared to like dark hai

Blake The steward scribbled something, our other I guessed, on his paper and faced Laura. "What can I get you, ma'am?" "Uhm, cookies and a glass of milk." I looked at Laura and she became defensive, replying with, "What?" I shrugged. The steward strode off to get our orders. This time, Laura looked at me. "Why do you judge?" "Judge? I didn't judge." "Of course, you did," she said, "by giving me that look." "What look?" I asked.

Blake I saw how her brows furrowed together. It was clear that she didn't understand my question. My question had clearly taken her aback. "About the dinner." I added to clear out her confusion. "Oh," she gave a nervous, quite embarrassed, laugh. "Well, if you want me to." I smiled, letting my eyes move dreamily around her. Laura was pretty. There was no denying that fact or statement. She had very sharp eyes, and I believed it was the colour---its hazel, greenish tint colour---that accounted for that. Her fake blonde hair blared against the dim light, and for some odd reasons, I found myself craving to see her in her natural hair: deep brunette.
The False Facade CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX
Laura "So, tell me. What do you want from my brother?" She spelled out the words more. She was close now, her face pinned up to me. I couldn't believe this was happening. I just couldn't believe I'd fallen into Daya's trap. I mean, how could I have been that gullible to believe she wanted us to form a good relationship? Why had I been so stupid. She gave me the look that suggested I was keeping her waiting, and she wanted me to go on with an answer. Thing was, no word was forthcoming. The shock and bemusement was just too much for me to handle."Of course, you won't say anything." Daya finally said, "What in the world was I thinking?"She shot daggers with my ears, gave a faint hissed and turned to leave. I could see her shake her head in disappointment as she left the door.Wh

"Hi, Olive," Courtney's voice cut me out of my thoughts. I glanced up at her to find her standing in front of me. She wore a cream coloured T-shirt, and a loosely fit shorts. I smiled in response. She sat across me. "How do you see the dinner?" "Ugh. Awesome. It's more than I imagined." "Oh, yeah?" she replied, smiling. "I'm glad you like it." "Oh, I do." I took a sip from my drink. "Barbecues are wonderful." "Yes, they are. But you guys have BBQ nights in the States, right?"
