Chapter 7: Humiliated

"Sister Rin, this one is good quality meat, I bet Lord Rena will be pleased with him!" The demoness that shouted and ordered Alex to strip his clothes immediately changed her face and said with a fake smile to the lamia standing beside her. Alex could tell that she was trying to please the lamia.

"First of all, I'm not your sister. I am Lord Rena's personal knight! And you will address me as such! Lesser demons that are guarding this mine are mere minions to the lamia clan, and that includes you, so know your place! Is that clear? Or do I have to make you understand?" The lamia knight snapped back at the demon that was trying to curry her favour with huge arrogance in her tone.

The lamia knight was standing at about a height of 2 metres not counting the length of her serpentine tail. Like the rest of the lamia army that Alex saw marching into the mine in the morning, she was armed to the teeth with iron armour except for her tail. On her back was a giant halberd spanning around 1.5 metres tall, shimmering with a metallic shine. One look and Alex could tell that it weighs a ton.

"How much strength does one need to wield that?" Alex gulped, he was having a bad feeling about the events that was going to unfold. He had underestimated the demons. To think the demons in the mine are just lowly servants to the lamia clan!

"Yes, I understood that clearly, dame Rin!" The demoness fell on her knees begging for forgiveness. She was the overall in-charge of the mine, but still her head would roll with just a few words of the lamia in front of her.

There were many different races of demons in Fiore. Long ago, many demons of the same race would often stay together, forming clans and waging wars with the others. At the top of the demon hierarchy stood the 7 Great Devils and their respective clans. Together they control all the demons with iron fists, but that was only on the surface. With the Gods gone, the Great Devils are looking to expand their sphere of influence in the demon society. Tensions between them had been on the rise, but nothing significant have happened yet.

"Wings or tail?"

"W—What? I'm sorry dame, I'm afraid your lowly servant doesn't know what you are saying."

"I am asking you choose." The lamia slited her green eyes, the vertical pupils of her eyes looked cold and menacing.

"Please dame. Don't do this to me." The demoness cried out in fear when she realised what she was implying.

"Oh, I'll help you choose then. Wings or tail... Wings or tail... When in doubt, always go for the head!"

In the blink of an eye, before anyone in the tent could react, her halberd had sliced the demoness 's head off with one fell swoop. A tall stream of blood erupted from the neck, and spluttered everywhere in the tent, including all those that was near the corpse. Despite the gruesome scene, not a single guard or slave utters a single sound.

"You over there, come here and let me have a closer look." Pointing her index finger at Alex, The blood-tainted lamia smiled.

"F*ck my life! Why am I being targeted by this crazy b*tch! Alex contemplated on whether he could fight his way out, but ultimately deemed it impossible. His storm dragon bloodline could overpower the lesser demons in the mine, but against the lamia that could swing the halberd so quickly that he couldn't react, he had no confidence at all.

Unable to refuse her order, Alex stepped forward slowly. He couldn't afford to offend her now, not until he find a good chance to escape.

"I suppose Lord Rena will be satisfied this time." The Lamia talked out loud. She didn't care whether Alex heard her. To her, Alex was just a cattle in her eyes.

"And that ANGERS me!" The lamia screamed at the top of her lungs and punched Alex squared in the face with her metal gauntlet repeatedly.

"What do Lord Rena sees in you filthy men when she could have sex with me?! Just because I don't have a dick? Tell me! Is that the reason?!"

"Dame Rin, you need to stop." Right then, a white silky hand stopped the lamia knight. It belonged to a lesser demon in the mine. Similar to Erza, she had a bright purple hair, but unlike her, her body was seductive and voluptuous. Her breasts were bigger than a melon and her thighs were plump and thick. Her stature was small, and her figure was actually slim. The fats were just at the right places on her body.

"Who are you? You dare to stop me?" The lamia knight raged at her.

"We are behind schedule. We need to prepare for tonight! Lord Rena will be upset if you ruin her fun." The purple hair demoness replied calmly.

"Tch... Fine. Take them away." The lamia relented and left the tent. However, never would she have expected that letting Alex go would lead to her demise in the future.
