Prologue

Dexter POV

“No, this wasn't true. It must be a dream.” I mumbled looking around at the room which the presence of all my family members. Their face was pale and they didn't move even an inch.  It can’t be true. They can’t just leave me like this.

“Sister, wake up, please.” I pleaded near her cold body. She wasn’t breathing anymore and I can’t felt her heartbeat at all. I shook her body but still no respond.

“Bro, wake up. You can’t leave the work to me alone like this. I need you to help me. I can’t do this alone.” I slightly punched his arm but he didn't flinch or returned as he usually did.

I moved to another body, my mom and my dad. They were lying nearby my sister and my brother in law. “Mom, tell me this is not true,” I cried like a kids beside her whilst my hand holding on her unmoved hand. I turned to look at the figure next to her when she doesn’t show me any respond.

“Dad, you can hear me right? Please answer me. Tell me you are just kidding right now. You are mafia king, you can’t be defeated so easily like this. Show them, dad. Show the whole world how strong you are.” I shouted, ignoring the truth that stated clearly in front of my eyes.

Dad, mom, sister and my brother in law, laid in the room, no breathing and no heartbeat. They are dead and they will never answer me back, not anymore. I stumbled and fall on the cold concrete and I punched the floor hard. Hard enough to make me bleed but it doesn’t hurt me at all. I swear to myself, this is not the end. This is just the beginning. I will create the ending that I wish for.
