Even though it was Trinity's first public appearance, Dmitri was the one who seemed more nervous, which showed in the way he kept rubbing his neck every so often and pacing the living space as he waited for Trinity to emerge out of her room.
They'd had breakfast together this morning and he'd been all but floored as he'd looked at Trinity when she'd come into the kitchen and noticed what he'd failed to see last night in the dim lighting of the room.

While Trinity knew Dmitri had a few romantic bones somewhere in his body, the way he'd proposed still came as a shock. And what was even more shocking was that everything he'd said had seemed genuine, true, as if he'd meant every word, so much so that it brought happy tears to her eyes.
