Chapter Four.
Author: Mother of Dragon.Sir Ayer was dead. Dead! Nobody knew who killed him. No. Everyone pretended like they didn't know his killer. A logical thing to do,if you didn't want to become next. A coward. That was what everybody became. But I wasn't ready to turn into one. I might be sweet, nice and ready to abide to every rules and regulations, but the demon inside me was only sleeping. Not dead.
'Think about your life,is it worth foolishly loosing?' You might want to ask me that. Well is doesn't really feels like I was living. There's just the body, but no life in it.
Charging grumpily to the gates of hell, well it wasn't scary at all. I felt no fear,on the contrary all that cluttered up in my lifeless body was this ravaging rage. This time the devil should be scared of me. A powerless, thoughtless, completely hopeless me.
I thought there would be a somewhat change in mind as I got to the entrance, but no. Nothing.
"You there, open up!" If it's a visit they want,it's a visit they'll get.
Walking sluggishly towards me was a slumping misshapen skunk." State your business young woman"
I had no time for this. I irritably waited for him to crawl close to the gates before creepily grabbing him by his neck, viciously slamming his horrible perplex face on the metallic like gate. Quickly opening the gate, I dashed in like a lion preying on his food. In the blink of an eye I was surrounded with more guards like ants surrounding sugar.
"Fenrel you bastard! Come out and let's have a little chat!" And then it struck me. I had no plan. I would just be murdered in cold blood for nothing. The mad man came out,at least he distracted me.
"Oh my dear. You finally made it!" He roared in amusement.
I was already fuming like a fire. In that moment I wished I could fly up to his present, strangle all the essence that remained in him making his eyes pop out in with an excruciating pain in his voice and hear him silently beg for mercy. Oh I wished, but I atlas I couldn't. Sadly I couldn't even fly.
"Let her in. She's an important guest you see." Like he could read my mind,a smile popped up on his face. If smiles could talk,it would be the type that said I can hear you but you can't do anything, can you? He was right,I couldn't.
****
With the guards escorting me,I strode over the extremely slim and elegant stairway. It was beautiful in an awkward way with various wall paintings as we walked our way to the main entrance. I couldn't quite make up the drawings as they were several of them lined up like they were telling a story. Some with warriors in battles, many of them dead on the floor. Another one with a strange looking goblet. And others I just had to ignore looking at. Then finally arriving at the main entrance. I had to admit. It was a palace. Even about five times bigger than the royal kingdom. Gold glittering at every corners. It was like I was in heaven if it was on earth. Inside that dark soul,a human being live in it. All these while Tara had been working here I hadn't even came once.
He was already seated on his golden throne waiting patiently for me." Sit down will you." How dare he speak with so much confidence.
I sat down. Like a moron.
"Well then,I see you've reconsidered my offer. Although it seems a bit too late don't you thi-"
"Cut the crap you bastard!"
Again he sat still,relaxed."ouch." Whispering with no emotion on his face." True. Did you have to hurt me that much."
What was he trying to imply?
"My mother had me for another man, brought a bastard son to a lord, ruining my life. Had she never even had me at all,it would had been better. I could have been someone important, somebody that mattered but how could a bastard child like me have that kind of life. Eventually I became a power hunter, hunting for power till I finally came to this beautiful Beladonia. I became an important man you understand that don't you?"
No. He was trying to twist me around his finger. That's how he became who he was today. Fooling people around.
"You're like me Kerik." Nodding in response to the rubbish he just said.
"I am nothing like you. You use your power to destroy lives, innocent lives just because you can."
"Oh don't tell me this is about Ayer. I never killed him. The King's men did that"
"You're a useless bloody liar"
"All I had to do was just report an old man to his majesty and he took serious actions. I mean I don't blame myself, what could I have possibly said to have made him kill an innocent old man
Lies. Lies.
" I don't destroy lives Kerik,I save lives. That's why we're called the keepers. We restore and keep peace. The enemy here is not me my dear. Join me, and we would make a very fine team."
"Never! I am no murderer."
"Hmm.. fore shame. Then why have you come then?"
The words blew out like a stick, hitting me on all sides. Why exactly did I come. To kill him of course, but how?
"You have made another terrible mistake coming here dear." He threatened.
Perplex as terror began to form on my face. Why was I suddenly scared.
"Yes I asked you to come but why just you, where's your darling sister?"
"Please, just leave us alone. I shouldn't be here in the first place. Just, don't kill anyone else." Tears slowly racing down my cheeks. A tighten grip in my throat followed by short intake of breath. All these tears I had held back, acting so strong and brave. I couldn't hold it anymore. A version of me I was yet to unravel possessed me as I fell to my kneels crying miserably. What was happening to me? Maybe it was the death of sir Ayer that struck me. Or the hatred I felt each time I remembered being abandoned by our parent. Or that I was truly a bad person, judging from the fact that I had cared only about myself and thus endangering other lives around me. Maybe I truly was a bad person.
"Dear dear" he spoked out of the blue, bringing me back to reality." I can help you. Let me." He spoke calmly, bringing me up to my feet's.
Maybe he wasn't a bad person after all. After what I'd done, who was I to judge.
"Firstly, join me so we can rule together."
The words came out, mesmerizing to my ears.
"Let's make a proposal. I help you and your sister, you help me."
Sounded simple enough. "What could I possibly do for you?"
His eyes already widening with pleasing delightment. He really was a kind man.
Until he dropped the bombshell on me.

"So you're saying that-""Yes. Exactly." Angelina cuts me off again, just as she'd been doing with each of us for the past thirty minutes or so. The only point I got right was that Lilith is not in a particular place. She resides everywhere, and nowhere. I don't know what that meant too, but that was what we'd learnt. Can you really call it learning, when you still have no bloody meaning what it meant?"But, how can we find-""I already told you." She cuts in again. It was starting to get pretty annoying. "You will have to find her where-""You are not making any sense Angelina. Sorry, but it's true." The expression on her face changed from excitement to a sort of confusion. "We desperately need to find her." She paused in silence for a short while, as if deciding what she wanted to have for dinner. Thankfully, it wasn't going to be us."I can't do or say anything more tha

"You're right. We don't know anything about her where about." I remembered how I wanted to discuss this with my mother. How I wanted to bring Tara home to her. But now, she was gone. Just like everyone else I'd known. Kedar, Tara. Nila."You'll figure this one out. You always do." Mona comforted."Thanks." I replied her with a smile. When she spoke, it sounded oddly creepy, as I just realized how very similar their voices sounded like. "You know, you remind me so much of Nila.""That was what father used to say.""Father? Old man Ayer?" I remembered how Nila had denied sir Ayer about being her father. But the fact that I never gave her a chance to explain herself bothered me the most."Sir Ayer?" She called the name like it was an odd creature's name, something so unfamiliar. "No. He's not our father. Our father lived here, in Talot. So did Ragnila. You know, we were all happy together. Un

"Lily, you should stay here for tonight." She sat still on the bed, I searched for swivet or panic on her face, but nothing seemed to appear on them. She just sat still, as gentle as a dove. When I entered the room, I saw that it was now well kept. The bed was properly laid, the floor was sparkling clean and everywhere was neatly arranged. The room was well tidied to begin with, but it was as if she took her time to rearrange it even further."You don't have to bother your Highness-" She quickly got up from the bed the moment she heard my voice."You called me by my name earlier." I ignored her pathetic regard or honour to the throne. Whatever it was that happened was nothing compared to the throne. It was merely an incident that happened between Kerik and Lily. Nothing more. "I- I'm so sorry, your majesty-""I liked it. It didn't feel like I was the Queen, I just felt like- me. Kerik.""But s

The necklace laid there as a common rock, decorated with an array of polished diamonds. Sometimes I wondered why it was called the dragon stone. Then I observed its appearance changed. All these while, it had just been an ordinary stone, shining majestically as a diamond. But now, now it was a greenish brown rock. The dragon stone; as bold and green as the skin, and red as the blood. The dragon stone; royal betrothed, mysterious and all-important as an enormous emerald. I walked closer, taking one small step towards the bed. Just about five more steps and I would reach for the stone. "I now fully listen to your acquisitions. Proceed." Some of the people of Talot came quietly to have a discussion with their Queen, since we were interrupted the other day. Bellamy already left, and a part of me left with him. The good side, the patient one, the old side of me. Mother wasn't back yet, and I only hoped she came back with good news. The whole fortress just became empty; just me, with a whole load of people who either hate me, or are scared of me. Or both."Yes your majesty." The same person I'd been having problem with since the day one spoke."What is your name?" I asked him before he could continue."My name is Easton. Easton Campbell.""Very well then. You may proceed.""We gather before her royal Highness today, to receive her blessing." He smirked dubiously, like there was more up on his sleeves."For what?""To bargain, with the lower towns.
The Bedevilled Soul Chapter Twenty Three: Peace.
I explained everything to my mother the previous night, about finding Tara, releasing her soul and that of the remaining people. How to defeat the master, how I was supposed to seek Lilith for her blessings. Then she promised we would talk better the next day. After lots and lots of pleading, she finally agreed to stay for a while before setting out for her journey to hell knows where. The night seemed extra long that I found myself turning and tossing all night. My mind raced on a million things as I recalled every steps and decisions I'd taken over these whiles. I wondered if they were right. After what seemed like thousands of hours, I finally found myself lost in sleep. When my eyes opened again, it was already dawn. The sun bloomed on the horizon, golden petals stretching ever outwards into the rich blue. It was the brilliant flower of the sky that warmed other people. The invitation to a new day, the sunrise so ordinary extraordinary. B

"I know I'm not supposed to care. I'm not supposed to ask, but what the hell are you talking about?" The words came out like a churning fire burning vigorously inside my guts. "Go where?" I knew I didn't cared anymore, I'd detested my mother since the dawn of ages. I didn't care what ever happene
