 " 3 years has passed doc, but my baby hasn't said a word," Debbie said looking straight in the doctor's eyes, the white doctor with his thick round glasses and pointed nose, Gasp, he clears his throat"Can I see the child please" Debbie nods and calls out precious

"precious please can you come over here " then a little girl carrying a big teddy with beautiful dark long brown hair with blue eyes walks in nervously, she meets her mum who sits her on her lap

"This is your child Mrs. Debbie? " the doctor said as he examines the child with his eyes

"Yes she is"

"Adopted? " Debbie took the question quite offensive, but she decided not to react in any way

"No, please do you know what's wrong with her? " the doctor removes his glasses, then rubs the back of his head

"Doctor, you don't think she's mute, do you? "

"Well, by this age she's supposed to at least start saying some words by now" So what do you think? "

"I think you should bring her again tomorrow, so I can run through some test with her"

"Oh thank you doc"

 Debbie stands up and shakes the doctor before she left his office

______ "so what did the doctor say" John ask with his eyes focused on his newspaper

"He said I should bring her again tomorrow so to run through some test," Debbie said handling the vacuum "you don't think she'd be mute right? "

"No no, she's a pretty smart kid, am sure her speech is taking time because she developed the others pretty early" he turns a page

"You're right, am just overreacting I mean its just been 3years right," she said kinda sarcastically

she looks out the window in the kitchen, she sees precious playing with building blocks, but seems like she was playing it with someone. She stops the vacuum and storms to the backyard, she carries precious from the grass

 "baby, who are you playing with " the little girl points opposite where she sat "but there's nothing there," She thinks for a minute "let's get you inside and clean you up"

______ "John, have you seen precious, I was about getting her ready for her bath when she suddenly left"

"I don't know, why don't you check the backyard I think I saw her walking towards there " Debbie quickly rush to the backyard, but there was no sign of her

 "precious, precious " she looks around but no sign of her, she began to walk around the house, Johns house was pretty big, she reaches the pool area, she looks around but not a sight, she hesitated to look inside the pool, with just a peek she sees precious deep inside, she puts her hand on top of her head and screamed so loud that John could hear it well and he begins to run, without thinking twice, she jumps inside the pool, she dives in, she sees precious who looked unconscious, she quickly grabs her and pulls her out, she breathes heavily, soon John arrives

"Is she okay?" still breathing heavily she replies"I don't know " she lay her on the ground, she put both hands on her chest and was about to push when precious opens her eyes and began to laugh. Debbie and John share a look, then he grabs his phone"Am calling Doc" she nods in agreement and looks at precious who was still laughing

__________ a flashlight shines in one of Precious's eye Balls, it was the doc he checks the other eyes then he turns it off

"Nothing, are you sure about what you're telling me, cause with the test and all, your child appears fine "

"Am very sure, John was even there" she looks at John

"Yes I was "

"And Is John your husband," the doc said while writing things down on a note pad he had

"Yes he is" moving to the USA with John in other for Debbie to get a green card she had to get married to John, she hesitated for a while but she made up her mind after hearing that Daniel was married 3 days after she was banished, to her friend, who uncovered the truth about her working secretly for John

"Look, you guys seem like a nice couple, but its either you guys dreamt it happened or you both need psychological help" the doc turns around to leave and he mumbles under his breath "am sure is weed"

"Well that was certainly a waste of time," John said Starring at the doc from behind "what are we going to do"

"We just have to watch her by our self," Debbie said Starring at Precious who was sitting on a table playing with her fingers. What's wrong with her?

****2 years later 7 am Thursday, John and Debbie's tiptoed to Precious room, Debbie was holding a cake, John was in a party hat, and a party horn in his mouth, they both gently walk towards her bed, she was very sound asleep "happy birthday!!! " they both yelled on top of their voices and John blows the party horn, she wakes up with a big smile on her face

"Now make wish honey," Debbie said setting the cake in front of her, she closes her eyes then blew the candle. They all clapped

"What did you wish for," John asks thinking she'd just smile as always but to everyone's surprise she replies"I can't tell you that daddy, the wish wouldn't come true"

 Debbie and John but begin to jump and shout out of excitement and surprise"Did you hear that, she called me daddy!" he said excited, Debbie nods with a big smile on her face, John looks up and shouts "she called me Daddy!!! "

Debbie looks at her,'' what do you want for breakfast'', she replies with her adorable voice "pancakes mummy"Debbie was speechless at the moment, then she runs to the kitchen "pancakes, she says she wants pancakes "

 precious looks at John who was still very much surprised "Daddy, mummy forgot the cake" John quickly carries it from the bed

"your mum is just very happy honey that's why she's acting that way" Daddy, am I going to have a party"

"Yes love"

"Can I invite all my friends "

"Sure honey, am sure I can call some of your friends from school too... "

 she stops him"No not from school, they all laugh at me and my other friends"

"So which other friends do you wanna invite" precious smiles

______ "so honey, when will your other friends come"

 Debbie ask as she sets the table

"Oh mummy they're already here" Debbie becomes confused and a bit scared at the same time

"Where are they then" John walks in the dining room, sees precious who was dressed in a pretty red gown and her hair in a ponytail and a crown on top of it.

"My My My, my baby looks beautiful," he said as he was about to sit on one of the chairs

"No daddy don't sit there Jackson is there"

 John pauses and slowly rises

"And mummy can you give Tommy cake he desperately needs some ". Debbie smiles at her and put a piece of cake on the empty plate next to her.

"Thanks, mum, now Tommy dig in"

Debbie walks towards John and whispers "can we talk" he nods in agreement and they both quickly enter a room, Debbie turns to him "I think our daughter needs help"
