Chapter 12 Little Uncle Has Returned

There were stairs behind Ginny Young, and she missed a step when she took a step backward and fell down the stairs.

What happened to her naturally caught the attention of a lot of people, and everyone let out surprised shrieks.

She did not feel the pain that she expected. Instead, she landed in a warm embrace. Ginny widened her eyes, looking at the enlarged face, unable to react.

Juan helped Ginny stand up properly, looking her up and down, his gaze landing on the injuries on her arms. Although a lot of them had already healed and scabbed over, it was still not hard to tell that they were new wounds.

As he frowned slightly, there was a lot of dissatisfaction shown in his eyes. "What happened?"

The rims of Ginny's eyes were a little red, and there were tears in her eyes. She did not dare to open her mouth and speak because she was scared that if she did, tears would fall.

"Were you hit by members of the Young family?" Juan grabbed her wrist, asking coldly.

Ginny shook her head, with tears falling down. She sniffled, trying to hold her tears back, but it did not work.

"Hiss..."

The people that were surrounding them breathed in. "What a handsome man!" Furthermore, he was wearing the military uniform of the special ops force, and there was a noise that sounded like a helicopter. "Did he arrive in a helicopter???"

Quite a few people wanted to use their phone to take photos, but that man gave them a look, which made them so scared that they put their phones away.

Rowena was originally the main focus and did not expect that the man's sudden appearance would totally steal the show, hence she was a little angry. Furthermore, she had asked people to find out his identity, but they did not manage to find anything at all!

When she thought about that, she was very angry and began glaring strongly at Ginny and that man.

"What are you crying for?" Juan felt a bit uncomfortable in his heart. After all, he was the one who had broken his promise. "Ha, thinking about it now, this was the first time I had even promised a woman something, but in the end, I went back on my word because of a mission."

Juan felt himself becoming soft-hearted suddenly, and in a rare moment where he had a good temper, he told Ginny in a mild tone, "There was a sudden emergency mission."

Only then did Ginny snap out of her daze and see that he was wearing the military uniform. "That's right. It's him, it's definitely him. He's back."

When she thought that, the rims of her eyes reddened even more, and she stared at him happily.

"Let's go." Juan did not really want to see the look in Ginny's eyes at that moment. It was easy for him to feel guilty about what he did.

After he said that, he was about to pull Ginny to leave.

"Wait a moment, Little Uncle... Let me ask the school for leave." After Ginny said that, she wanted to head toward the classroom, but was stopped by Juan.

Juan's expression was cold as he stared at Ginny. "What did you address me as..."

Being stared at by Juan like that, Ginny felt a bit guilty and very scared. "Little... Little Uncle...

"If you don't like that, I won't call you that anymore." Ginny softly opened her mouth. She did not know when it happened, but everyone that was watching the whole thing had been asked to move away, and there were only two of them left at the stairway.

It was not that Juan did not like her addressing him like that; it was just that when she called him her little uncle, it was very easy for him to think about some very strange situations.

"I, I don't know your name... Also, you're around the same age as my uncle, so I, I called you little, little uncle..." Ginny continued to explain. She actually did not know if the man in front of her remembered her or not, but judging by his reaction, he probably did not remember her.

Ginny did not dare to directly ask. She knew that the time her uncle went to complete a mission and never came back, he had gone with the little uncle in front of her. But why was it that this man had returned but her uncle had not?

Everyone said that her uncle had died, but Ginny refused to believe it.

Yet she did not dare to casually ask the man in front of her. After so many years, there was no news at all, as if the country had totally removed any traces of the man. There was only the photo in her hands that proved her uncle's existence.

After getting in the car with that man, Ginny was a bit nervous. She had a lot of things she wanted to talk to him about but did not know how to start. Furthermore, the man seemed to have really forgotten about her and her uncle.

After a while, Ginny realized that the direction the car was moving in was very foreign to her, and she nervously asked, "Little Uncle... where are we going?"

"The Civil Affairs Bureau."

Ginny was stunned. She had just turned 18 this year and could get a marriage certificate. However, did he really want to get married to her?

When she thought about that, she felt a little uneasy and nervously grabbed at her clothes.

That night, she...

She was already no longer clean. Why did he still want to marry her?

"Little... Little Uncle... that night..." Ginny felt that it was painful, but she could not do anything. Even though she knew that it was Rowena who had harmed her, she did not have any ability to take revenge.

"I'll take responsibility for what happened," he said suddenly.

Juan's words shocked Ginny. "Take responsibility for what happened? Responsibility??"

"What he meant was, the man that night, the man that night... Could it have been him?!"
