CHAPTER TWO: Gone

"Good Morning, Sir!" I warmly entertain our customers.

He was wearing a long-sleeve polo shirt and still wearing shades so I could not see his eyes too much. But I was immediately surprised because it is not hot here and bright but why is it in his shades?

"What's your order, sir?" I asked with a smile and ignored what I was thinking, so he smiled at me while looking at our menu.

"One slice of muffin cake, cappuccino, and you."

I stopped pressing the monitor because the last thing he said when I looked up he was already smiling at me.

"Ahm Sir ... I'm not on the menu," I said and continued. "Is your order okay?"

He laughed first before answering me. "I'm just kidding and yeah ... that's all."

So I just nodded and he paid for what he ordered. When it was over I looked at Alexandra when she suddenly pinched my arm.

"I think that man has a crush on you, Lilie," she teased me so I just stared at her for a while and grab her hair.

“Can you stop teasing me?!” 

"But, I’m wondering, ha! Why is he still wearing a shade ... it’s not sunny here inside. Does he have a severe problem or maybe dazzled by your beauty, Lilie girl?” she asked while looking at me at the same time teasing me. So I jokingly pulled her hair.

“I’m not kidding, Alexandra!” I shouted angrily but she just laughed and continued to tease me to our male customers.

“That’s why you don’t have a boyfriend, eh. Education and work always comes first.”

I just ignored her teasing me. When I looked again at the position of our male customer I was stunned when he looked at me. So I turned my eyes back to the monitor and just focused on working.

After my six-hour shift, I can go home as well. After I mop the whole are of our café, I instantly changed my clothes.

While I was waiting for Alexandra, Boss Asher approached me, so I look at him and waited for him to talk first.

"Ah, Lilie ... are you coming home yet?" He asked as he held his hand to the nape of his neck and I laughed secretly because he was nervous now while talking at me.

"Yes boss, why?" I just asked so he laughed.

"It’s not your obligation, Boss! I have someone with me!" I hysterically said and trying to find Alexandra, I turned my back and I saw her right away and running in my direction.

When I looked at Alexandra, she also changed her clothes. She approached me and hooked her arm around mine.

"Boss Asher, Lilie and I are going home," she mumbled a ggoodbye to our boss while I bowed as goodbye. I could see the regret in his eyes.

"All right, be careful." We just nodded and went out. I just rested deeply when we got out.

While we were waiting for the jeep, Alexandra suddenly spoke and looked at a billboard. I saw the man posing on the billboard. It was white and tall, his nose was sharp, his lip curve was just right and his eyes were sharp when he looked at you.

Why does it seem he is familiar?

"Lilie, do you know that man?" She was asking me a question so I just shook my head, so her eyes widened at me.

" A Lucas Nixon Montiero who is handsome and a very famous businessman? You didn’t know him? Are you kidding, Lilie ?!" She was still shocked by the question so I nodded.

"No," I laughed in response so she laughed out loud.

I just let her go and got in the jeep that stopped in front of me and got on.

I people laughed at her reaction when I left her in the jeep, even though the jeep was not far away when I heard her shout.

"You're dead to me tomorrow, Lilie!"

When I got out of the jeep, I was just surprised when I saw so many people in front of our house, it was as if they were still in a commotion. I huddled among the people and when I came to the front I was just surprised by what I saw.

My Mom was throwing a stones at Dad’s clothes while she twists the hair inad’s mistress. I’m stunned for a moment when I witnessed that kind of scene.

" Damn you, Hades! Bring your gear and clothes! The thickness of your face is still here in our house to do your fucking business with your mistress!” Mom shouted and pushed the woman too hard causing her to fall to the ground.

I saw Dad rush to Mom so I ran and blocked between the two of them. Instead of slapping my Mom,, he slapped me. My face turned to the left and I tasted a little blood coming from my lips.

Because of what he did I was able to utter a word I never thought I would say. "I don't know why you even became my father! You only bring problems and trouble in our lives!" I shouted in his face while crying.

I don't know why it suddenly came out of my mouth. I feel like, I'm full and I just let it out.

I heard Mom sigh behand me while Dad was stunned and I saw the pain in his eyes. But it also suddenly disappeared and was replaced by anger.

"I regret even more that you were my daughter! I also do not know why you came into my life!" he shouted at me and looked at my Mom. "Starting today, we will be separated. Anyway, your good daughter already knows that I have a mistress,” he said angrily and turned his back on us.
