CHAPTER II

The breakdown fetched their car while she hopped back on her bike glancing at them one more time and speeding off back to the auto shop. When she reached, Leo was already there repairing an old truck that belonged to Mr. Woods an old man just a few blocks from their house. "Hey," she said hoping off. "Are you done already?" Leo asked closing the bonnet. "No," she sighed. "What's with it?" she gestured to the old car with her head. "Flat tire and I think there is a problem with it somewhere." he replied crossing to wash some grease off her hands. "Mr. Woods should just throw that thing away, it's literally worn out." Levon smiled. "You must as well not want to hurt the old man's feelings." Liam chuckled and immediately the breakdown came to a halt at the garage.

"There it is," she muttered before walking to the black Audi where the two men moved out. Levon saw both guys staring at the place as if it was some place they had never been. "I guess I will take on from here." Levon cleared her voice. "Oh yeah," Timothy replied looking at Blair. "This is where you work." It was more like a question but came out as a sentence. "Yeah, actually my father owns this place." Levon replied gazing at him. "And him?" Blair asked motioning at Leo who was taking a bottle of water.

"My brother Leo, he works here too." Levon replied hesitantly. "Good to know then." he smiled relief washing over his face. Blair was now gazing at her while she gazed back her mind foggy of what she was doing. Where they really having a staring contest right now? This was so not her, she was now in a staring contest with a customer, more of a hot customer. This was really becoming uncomfortable for her and she knew she had to stop it. "I guess I will see you tomorrow." she broke the weird tension. "Yeah, you are right, tomorrow." he smiled patting Timothy's back. "See you then." Levon said calmly. "Okay then." with that they walked out as she watched them disappear from the gate. She released a breath she didn't know was holding until they left. She had to compose herself and not act like a crazy hormonal teen. "Who are those guys?" Leo's voice startled her. "Huh? I don't know actually, Liam told me to cover for him, their car broke down and I went in to help." Levon explained looking at his brother who wore a skeptical look.

"I didn't like the way that other guy with the white shirt was looking at you." Leo mentioned looking at her. "Come on Leo, he's just a customer." "Let me hope so." with that he tagged back to his work. That's one thing she hated about her family, these men made her life a living hell sometimes and thank God she wasn't still in high school. They always scared the shit out of the boys she dated. They always questioned them and with all the four combined, it was just difficult. They scared the shit out of her prom date Evan Miller. The poor guy almost shit his pants with all their threats. Thinking about it, Levon smiled to herself before resuming to work on the Audi. Nathan always worked in the auto shop. He was growing old each day but still strong.

"Dad," Levon pecked him. He was counting tires and noting something things down. "What's the matter honey?" he asked looking at her. "Just wanted an Audi battery. I need it for a customer." she explained walking to a section of batteries. "Is it for someone I might know?" Nathan asked. "No, I think they are new people in the area." she said reaching for the battery she needed. "I see," he simply said. "By the way, tell the boys to be home early for the family dinner." Nathan said. "I will." she smiled back at her father. Quinn Auto shop and garage was not necessarily a huge place but not small. Nathan had started this business so as to take care of his family and it had worked out perfectly. Levon and Nathan made it early to their home which was four blocks from their work place. Despite being quite a good mechanic, her father had taught her how to cook. Right now they were cooking dinner while they listened to some Latina music. Liam, Mason and Leo had just made it home. Levon smiled at them as she organized the dining table.

"Mase, I missed you today." Levon hugged him. "I missed you too and ma says hi." he smiled at me Mason had gone to visit her mom, our aunt who lived in Houston, Texas. Mason apparently did not want to stay in Texas and wanted to stay with them because apparently her mother was married to some gym instructor. He didn't want to be apart of that saga of a son living with his step farther. Nathan and all of them didn't have a problem with him staying there. The boys helped in placing the dishes on the table. When it was all set, they sat down to enjoy the meal. Liam said the prayer before they all started to dig in. "So I heard Liam, you went to see that girl." Nathan rose his eyes to meet his. Liam glanced at Levon who shook her head immediately. She couldn't do that to him.

"Mrs. Jackie told me," he cleared the air. Obviously Mrs. Jackie had a crush on Nathan and would do things like bake him cup cakes so as to gain his attention and not excluding gossiping about his children to him. Nathan was not the person into relationships that's why he had not realized why she was so hung up on him. Surely Jackie wasn't a bad woman with her blonde hair and slender figure. Her face was not wrinkled at all and she was nice sometimes. She worked at a bakery near the place Stella worked so that's why she might have seen them.

"That woman likes you uncle, you just too blind to realize it." Mason teased. "That's a false accusation Mase, she's just friendly." Nathan denied. "Friendly," Leo scoffed. "You boys don't change the subject." Nathan said. "She's called Stella dad and I like her. It's not like it's a crime if I went to see her." Liam muttered everyone surprised by his outburst. "Whoa man!" Leo hollered making Mase and Levon chuckle. "If you like her as you say then you should bring her to dinner sometime so we can get to know her." Nathan said. "Come on dad, to know her or interrogate her." Liam sarcastically remarked. "Doesn't matter brother, you scared the living shit out of my date." Levon murmured making Liam groan in return. "His face was pale and I thought he was going to pass out." Leo chuckled and they all followed.

Dinner ended well and they watched some action movie with some cookies. Nathan fell asleep before the movie was even half way. He decided to go to bed after saying goodnight and telling them to not stay awake late at night. They went to bed by midnight after actually watching some other action movie and having eaten packets of popcorns and crisps with beers. Levon wasn't much of a beer person and drunk one so as to stay as the only sane sibling. Levon was cleaning the dishes with his father when the boys decided to wake up. It was now just seven in the morning and all the boys were sulking and cursing with all the hangover.

"I did tell you not to stay late." Nathan muttered as Leo poured himself a glass of water. "Dad, it's not helping." Liam groaned taking some apple juice. "Jeez Liam, that's mine." Levon complained. Immediately Mason entered the kitchen groaning loudly. "You boys need to get your own places. You take way too much resource." Nathan joked insinuating to Mason who just drank three quarters of the jar of water. He just loved his children way too much to let them go however grown they were. His eldest son Liam was just twenty six and Leo twenty four while Levon was twenty one. Mason was just the same age as Leo. However old they were, they never wanted to leave Nathan.

The auto shop opened in one and a half hours and in that time they had to clean the house and have breakfast. Levon being the only female in the house had to make sure the men of the house were organized. She made a rotter for the house work and her only job was to cook and help with laundry sometimes. Apart from that, the boys did most work. It was not easy but Nathan helped with the supervision. Her brothers also didn't have a thing for personal property so she had to put stick notes at the fridge to tell them that they shouldn't eat her apples and drink her milk. She had to also put one on the coffee maker so the thing didn't end up being broken, the door so that they shouldn't enter with shoes in the house and her room that it was out of bounds to them. Things were better with those rules and arrangements. The house looked humane and the family set off for work after the breakfast and cleaning.

It was a Friday which was a busy day due to the events of Saturday. Most bikers and racers brought their cars for service so as to prepare the next day. The Quinns were actually well known by most youths for their good work with vehicles. Levon put on her overall resuming to her work. Some other guys had dropped off their vehicles as usual. That was why Friday was better, they earned more money. "Hello there," Levon heard that deep sexy voice making her move from under the car she was repairing by the pulley. Her hazel eyes met with those warm blue eyes and that dimpled smile. She was frozen that she almost forgot she had to stand up. She hated it that the Blair guy was making her clumsy something that was so not her. "Hey," she mumbled plastering a small smile on her face.

"Need any help?" Blair offered her a hand to stand up. "Great," she muttered to herself before she let him help her. She now noticed he was dressed in a grey shirt now and other khaki shorts with a pair of Vans. Shit! She was now discreetly checking out a customer. "Am sorry what did you say?" Levon asked. Now she had totally lost it. She had even lost her concentration because of a dimpled smile. Oh great. "I was asking for a place I could actually get some beverages." Blair smirked at her. "Just two blocks from here, you will find a convenient store." she said. She sure knew she looked messy with her dark locks in a messy bun and an overall full of grease and oil, she was far from presentable and she felt the urge to shout for being unpresentable compared to him. She was in front of a handsome guy smelling like oil and looking like some crazy ass madwoman.

She nudged herself for why she even cared about her looks now. She had never cared about them but now, oh just freaking great. "Your car is ready," she broke the silence walking to it as he followed closely behind his manly cologne wafting invading her senses. The guy smelt really good, like something citrus and woody. She opened it showing him the battery she replaced and then asked him to try to start it. Blair opened it, sitting in the driver's seat glancing at her before he ignited making it roar to life. Blair wore that smile again gazing at her and she found herself grinning like an idiot. Blair then walked out to her thanking her. "It's my job actually." Levon said. "I was wrong doubting your skills Levon," and he mentioned her name making her heart pound and then smiled. This was not good as she felt herself grow hot at a simple compliment.

"I know that already," Levon shrugged off his compliment like it didn't affect her. "So how much will it be?" Blair asked. "Two hundred fifty dollars." she replied. Blair got out his wallet giving him the ten dollars and a tip of two dollars. This guy was loaded and that's the conclusion Levon had drawn now. Of course he drove an expensive sport car and his clothes looked pretty expensive too. "So where are you staying? It's not like I know everyone here but you don't seem all too familiar." Levon asked a question that had been haunting her ever since yesterday when she saw him. "Amazing you know, I was kind of hoping you'd never ask." Blair smirked. Levon felt like she should have kept her mouth shut. Cocky was a new character she found out.

"Actually I live at the Ford residence." he replied hastily. "Oh," Levon nodded Blair giving her a dazed look. Ford residence was almost known by everyone in town. Mr. Daniel Ford and Mrs. Lydia Ford were so known for being filthy rich and that was a red flag so Blair was completely off limits and she had to keep that in mind. No way in hell would he go for a girl like her and she knew that. "Did I say something wrong?" Blair searched her eyes. "No actually," she denied. "I know that look and it is because you have found out am a Ford, you want to stay away from me." He had literally just read her mind and her eyes snapped up to his. "It's not that, ac..." "It's fine Levon but I want to still want to see you." Levon almost chocked on her saliva. Did he have to be so straightforward? They had actually just met yesterday and he wanted to see her again.

Now this was more than ridiculous. "Blair," she blurted out. "At least I want us to be friends, please?" Levon was now in a situation. She had promised herself to not involve herself with Blair Ford but he was asking her to be his friend. Great! Just freaking great. She gazed at his sincere eyes and then she knew she couldn't refuse. "Okay." she quickly said that he almost didn't catch up. "Thanks you know, it's not that I have a lot of friends here." he smiled. "Von," she was zoned out when she heard Mason call her. "Coming," she shouted for him to hear. Timothy now showed up in a blue shirt and cargo shorts with a baseball cap. "Von," he acknowledged. "Hey Tim," she smiled at him. "You done buddy?" he asked Blair who nodded. "Got to run. Nice time guys." she quickly said and rushed to Mason. The last thing she saw was the Audi speeding away making her sigh hard. What had she got herself into?
