Chapter 4

I ditched detention. No way I am doing that. Matthew is my best friend's father and we are close. He will not say anything to me. 

I had lunch at Matthew's place and soon it was evening. 

The party time! 

I am so excited. This is my first time attending these parties. The best part is everyone from my school is joining along with their parents. It is a grand party. I need to dress up elegantly. I got a text from dad saying that he will come to pick me up in two hours.

Hmmm.......

Two hours! They are just so less! I need to get started with everything right now or I will be late. 

I had a long walk in my closet before finding a perfect dress for the party.

I decided on a light pink off-shoulder dress with lace detailing and puff sleeves. I complete my look with sparkling pink pumps and butterfly earrings.

At last, a bit of makeup added stars to my look. I checked myself once more in the mirror. But what put me in a trance was my scar. It has been irritating me for a while. It has even turned slightly red in color which was very weird. The scar was with me for a long time but I never faced any problem because of it.

I was about to touch it for the hundredth time in the past two hours. There was a knock on my door. It opened to reveal dad. I internally sighed.

Are you ready?

He asked. I nodded my head in agreement.

I twirled around with a little giggle.

How do I look?

Dad came up to me and kissed my forehead gently. I wrapped my arms around him. I love him so much. He has sacrificed a lot for me and mom. He could have been ruling a kingdom and had had several wives but he left everything for us.

As usual, my beautiful princess. Sabrina, listen to me and listen very carefully, you are not to leave my side at any cost. Okay?

He looked at me with those determined eyes which sent me off guard for once.

You are talking like someone is gonna take me away from you.

You never know what happens, Sabrina. Just stick with me for the night and no one is going to take you away from me.

I know dad and I will not. I love you.

He smiled warmly at me. We intertwined our hands and walked downstairs to meet mom.

Dad stood beside mom while she was talking on the phone. As usual, they look the perfect pair. They even matched the color of their attire. They both were wearing sky blue.

Don't just stand there. Go and start the car or we will be late and then you are handling Nick.

Mom told dad and lightly elbowed him. He went outside. Mom cave over me and kissed the side of my head.

You look beautiful.

No, I look like my mother's daughter.

Dad was blowing the car horn telling both of us to come out.

Your father is a jerk. Always ruining the moment. Now, let's go before he breaks the car's horn.

We went out and hopped in the car.

After the ride of a few minutes, mom decides to speak up.

So, your parents are coming too?

Her question was for dad. I never met my grandparents. Dad sometimes goes to visit them but never took us with him.

Dad stiffened by mom's question. The air got a bit thick.

Um, ....... Yes!

Okay.

You and Sabrina are not needed to meet them.

Neither I want too.

But what if they come to us themselves?

I joined their conversation. They both snapped their neck towards me with raised eyebrows.

Um....... Sorry to interrupt?

It sounded more like a question.

She is right. What if they come to us?

Mom asked with a skeptical look on her face.

Then just give them a pretty smile, turn around and leave! Am I clear?

He glanced at both of us. We nodded our heads in unison. I was deeply curious about this topic. So I decided to ask.

Daddy.......

Nah, Sabrina, I don't feel like answering your questions.

He always does that. I quickly shut my mouth. I don't know two things here. First, why no one of them speaks about their past or any incident before the car crash. Second, how come Daddy knows everything I am thinking.

How????

We reached our destination. As expected the whole place was surrounded by Media and journalists.

The entrance was grand. It screamed royalty. Suddenly, I felt nervous. I stepped out of the car. Dad held out his hands for me to take. It somehow boosted my confidence and I felt perfectly fine. The entrance was decorated with beautiful flowers and its architecture added more to its beauty.

 We clicked a few photos and was about to leave when dad's hold around me tightened. He is very protective. This action of his indicates serious trouble. What my sweet daddy doesn't know is no trouble is bigger than the trouble he is holding onto his arms now.

The looks exchanged between my parents and these people made it very clear that they are people dad and mom always avoided talking about. Oh, I am gonna have so much fun tonight.

A gentle tug on my arm brought me back to reality. I pulled a small smile on my face and walked inside with my family. 

The inside was as beautiful as the outside. It was magnificent. Everything was gold with several paintings engraved on the ceiling. They chose a good place to show off Andromeda. It will surely build a good impression on others.

Small tables were kept on each side of the wall.

Overall, the view was beautiful.

The hall was full of people who I don't know which means they are not from the Andromeda dimension. I was eying every single movement of theirs. I was not judging them. It was a genetic characteristic.

Every single person present here screamed danger and I am an asshole.

While eying all the people I finally noticed my twin friends. Marilyn was wearing a strapless gold dress and Madelyn decided to go for a white tulle dress with a floral design at the top.

My parents were talking to some man when I silently whispered about going to my friends to him.

Dad, I am going to meet Maddie and Mari.

Dad gave me a nod.

But be careful.

I quickly ran towards them. We all squealed in unison from happiness. This was the first time for three of us. It was then I asked Mari about Max.

So, what happened with Max?

Madelyn let out a big sigh and then Mari spoke.

He came to me after the school incident. According to him, his father will throw him out if he found out about me and Max. His father wants him to be with Britney.

She said the name, Britney with utter disgust.

So you guys broke up which calls for a breakup party.

Maddie was jumping by now. She is a party queen.

Suddenly, the whole chattering in the hall died down. Now some small whispers could only be heard. It was very weird.

Everyone was looking at something.

Or let's say, someone.

Sometimes I really despise my short height. Not that I was very short. I was 5'4. But all these people seem to be more than 6 feet.

My view was completely blocked. My parents were also in front of the crowd. I could easily spot them. Finally, I caught a glimpse of the perfectly styled jet black hair which made it clear that this special entity is a man. Slowly everyone started to bow down in front of him.

It was then his face was clearly visible to me. Madelyn and Marilyn stiffened and out of nowhere they too bowed with everyone. I saw them with the corner of my eye as my main attention was focused on this godly man in front of me. He looked like a Greek God.

Behind him stood eight more well-built men but no one compared him. He stood all alone from the rest of the crowd. Everyone was on their knees except.......

ME!

I stood there with my gaze locked on him. His aura was so vast and dangerous that it covered the whole place. I can easily feel the I radiating off of him. It gave me goosebumps.

He stood there admiring the view. He was feeding on their fear. Then his orbs landed on me. Absolutely it would! I was the one last standing person. His eyes scanned me from top to bottom and landed on my face. His eyes were dark and deadly. His heated gaze made a shiver run down my spine. The itch on my scar was increasing. At one moment it felt like my skin was on fire.

I might have hurt his ego by being the last stand and all above that I was a woman. I have learned one thing about all these cosmic people that they treat a woman like shit.

He pointed his fingers towards me.

You! Come over here!

All the neck snapped toward me including my parents. They exchanged glances and their face was filled with horror.......

I am in for some deep shit.......
