Chapter 6

The magazine cover that features me and Sapphirus went viral.

Everyone is shipping us and commenting that we're a good match. 

"Congratulations!" My manager said. 

"Miss you became trending in social media because of your visual," Diane said. 

We are inside Sapphiru's office celebrating our achievement. 

I just smiled at Diane as an answer. After all, I'm busy answering my phone's messages because my auntie and friends are congratulating me. 

"Since you guys became trending why don't you both pretend sweet to each other?" 

"What the hell?" I suddenly stopped answering messages on my phone because of what I heard. 

"Agree!"

"Like whenever Mr.Sapphirus go to an event with his co-business man, you'll be his partner." 

"This isn't included in the contract," I said and went back to my phone. 

"Now it is," Sapphirus interrupted. 

"So you're the one whose going to decide again?" I asked annoyed. 

"Yes." 

"And why?" 

"Because you're working under my company and I'm your boss." 

"And? So what? I have no rights on what I'm going to accept and not?" 

"Carol..." My manager signed as a warning not to argue with this bastard again. 

"Stop being so artful and rude in fact this can grow your reputation more!" He said annoyed of how I act. 

Yes, he got a point but what I am pointing about is he always decide on his own! 

"Yes, it can grow my fame more, but what about my rights on this job!?" I said and left the room to get some fresh air. 

A cold breeze and light heat welcomed me when I entered the garden. 

I'm relaxing here peacefully for about fifteen minutes when someone sat next to me. 

"You look problematic," A guy in a blue suit said. 

"Yeah, my boss is stressing me out." 

"Who? Sapphirus?" He asked. 

"How did you know?" 

"He's a friend for me but for him, I'm just an acquaintance." 

"How come?" 

"He doesn't make friends with anyone, because he doesn't want to trust someone." 

"That guy always thinks he is high above all." 

"You didn't know what he had been through, don't judge him." 

"So you knew?" 

"Yes, and I feel sorry about him." 

"There is nothing to sympathize about him." 

"Don't judge him like you know what happened in his entire life and yes he is full of himself why not? He deserves to be admired." 

"Are you telling me to respect someone who isn't respecting me?" 

"Yes, because he deserves to be respected. Imagine he managed to live on his own at the age of sixteen and build this successful company at the age of twenty one isn't he amazing?" 

"He is, but he should be thinking about the feelings and rights of the people around him." 

"If I can just tell you what he had been through you'll feel sympathy for him too, but I can't just share his problem with anybody. Just remember this one thing respect and obey him," He said and left. 

Everyone has a bad side, no one is flawless. 

"Where is Sapphirus?" I asked Diane. 

"He's having a meeting in the conference room miss." 

"For how many hours?" 

"Two hours miss." 

"Oh... Anyways do I have an appointment?" 

"Yes, but Mr.Sapphirus moved it next week I don't know why." 

Why would he move my appointments? What's his reason? Is he planning something to get revenge on me?  

"Okay," I answered tired of complaining. 

He gave us a spare room since we're now working under him.

Every time there's a free time I can just hang out in this office with Diane and my manager, but he often wants us in his office. 

"Who's this?" I asked to an unknown number who called. 

"Hey, it's Rogue." 

"Oh! How are you?" 

"I'm good." 

"Where did you get my number?" 

"I asked Sierra for it." 

"Okay, so why did you call?" 

"Are you free today?" 

"Yes, my appointments were moved next week." 

"Can we meet?" 

"Sure!"

"Later at lunch, I just want to know something." 

"Okay, where?" 

"I'll send you the location." 

"Alright." 

"By the way, congratulations!" 

"Thank you!" 

"I got to go now, I have a shooting." 

"Okay, take care!" 

"You too, see you later." 

"What's your problem?" I asked Dianne because she's been starring at me for a long time. 

"Are you going to meet someone miss?" 

"Yes." 

"Who?" 

"Do you really have to know it?" 

"Yes," My manager interrupted. 

"For what?" 

"For your safety. What if that person whom you'll be meeting up has a bad motif?" 

"I knew him, for so many years he wouldn't do anything bad to me." 

"Still who is it? Why are you being so adamant this past few days Carol? You knew that this kind of behavior isn't acceptable and earlier you're acting so rude around your boss." 

I noticed that too, I'm being so hard to anyone and I don't know why. 

"I'm sorry," I said guiltily. 

"Don't say that to me, apologise to Mr.Sapphirus. You're giving him a hard time if you did that to other companies they will surely expel you because of your attitude." 

"I will apologize later and I feel sorry for you and Diane too because I'm being a pain in the ass." 

"We can tolerate you, but you should act professionally around your boss. Earlier you're acting like a baby girl who's begging for her daddy to buy her a barbie doll," Diane laughed which made me laugh too.

"I'm really sorry and the guy that I will meet up later is Rogue." 

"Rogue? Hale?" My manager asked shocked. 

"Yes." 

"He's a celebrity right?" 

"Yes, he is." 

"Wow miss you have a celebrity admirer?" Diane asked

"Silly, he is not my admirer. He is a family friend."

"Oh..."

"For what? Why are you going to meet him?" 

"He wants to know about something, and I don't know what is it." 

"Isn't it controversial? Since he is a celebrity?"

"Maybe he will be in disguise."

"But still you both need to be careful, remember you will be partnered up with Mr.Sapphirus not him."

"Yes, I know and tell Sapphirus that I agreed to it also that I am sorry."

"Since you're at fault, you should be the one telling that to him."

"Alright... I'll meet him after my conversations with Rogue."

"What time?"

"Around one or two p.m after lunch."

"Okay, I'll tell him."

Twelve in the afternoon, Rogue sent me the place where we will be meeting up.

It's a private restaurant and I went there all by myself. 

"Reservations ma'am?" 

"H.Rohale." 

"This way."

"Hi!" I greeted Rogue. 

He stood up and pulled a chair for me. He's wearing a sunglasses and a cap. 

"Take a seat." 

"Thank you." 

"Let's eat first before we talk." 

"Okay." 

I can sense how people stare at us, they're maybe wondering who's this guy I'm with. 

"How was your new boss?" He asked since we're done with our food. 

I started recalling the conversation with that guy earlier in the garden about Sapphirus. 

"It's fine and... fun." 

"You look hesitant when saying the last word," He said laughing. 

"To be honest it's not fun, nor it's stressful."

"Why? Is your company stressing you out?" 

"No, it's my boss but don't worry about it I can manage. I just need to adjust." 

"Why do you have to adjust though?" 

"Because he's my boss." 

"Your reason sucks." 

"Well, I have been a pain in the ass for him too because I don't act professionally around him." 

"You didn't do anything wrong, don't be sorry." 

"I knew I did." 

"Carol that guy, your boss is possibly my elder brother." 

My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. 

"What? Are you serious!?" 

"Yes." 

"Did your parents found out?" 

"No." 

"How come?" 

"He isn't proven yet he needs a DNA test, but he's refusing every time my Dad asked." 

"But is he really your Brother?" 

"I don't know seriously. Before when I did a research the guy's face is different from your boss. But my Dad has speculations that it is him." 

"He can find it out easily without DNA, he just have to know where his birthmark is." 

"Yes, but like what I said at the club to you that I don't want my Dad to find him anymore." 

"Rogue there is no secret that can be hidden forever, the truth will still come out no matter what you do." 

"It can be if he won't let my Dad see him."

"He is still your brother Rogue, other than that he's the first one remember?" 

"Yes, I knew that but please don't tell anyone about what I said again." 

"Yes, I won't you can trust me." 

"Thank you." 

My phone started ringing in the middle of our conversation. 

"Excuse me," I said and Rogue nodded "Hello?" 

"Miss Mr.Sapphirus said it's already passed one p.m."

"Tell him to wait, I'll just say my farewell to Rogue." 

"But miss he wants you now." 

"Diane, tell him to wait besides I have to drive back there too." 

"But miss--" 

"Bye!" I said and ended the call. 

"Does your boss wants you back now?" 

"No--" 

"Yes, do you have any problems with it?" I turned my head to see who is behind me. 

What the hell!? This man! How did he find my location!? 

"We're still talking about something you can just wait for her outside," Rogue said. 

"What am I? Her driver? I'm her boss, I own her. Don't tell me to wait," Sapphirus said. 

"She doesn't belong to you, she belongs to herself." 

Sapphirus grabbed my hand and made me stood up. 

"Stop being possessive just because you're successful. You think you're high above all and can get whatever you want?" 

"I can get whatever I want. What about you? Did you reach your goals yet? I guess not because you're still depending on your fame as a salary" Sapphirus said and pulled me out of that place.
