The start of a new begining

Due to the tragic incident that happened within these days, I have been unable to eat nor go to school. 

I just cannot believe she is gone! I had never known what It meant by losing someone precious till then. It feels like drowning in an ocean with no one to rescue you. It wants to lose all breath though you could feel the breeze hitting you gently. 

Everything you ever loved to achieve, have, or do becomes shaft to you. You lose anxiety about everything. 

Whenever my mom calls to check on me, she knows I do not go out but stay indoors hence do not care about myself even if I tell her I am ok.

She decided I come over and leave with her for some time so, she could take care of me. If not, she will lose another precious being. Moreover, her husband (that is how she calls me), her heart, her gem… you can name them.

I do not intend to lose her too so, I avoid making her worried. Everything she asks of me, I do.

Weeks have past and yet, nothing has changed. I have not been hanging out with my friend either and they understand perfectly well. They sometimes come to visit and condominium with me.

I was sitting in the garden this evening when my mom walked towards me with a faint smile on her face.

Firstly, her expression showed she has an important and breakthrough announcement she wants to share with me.

Secondly, it also shows she is worried about my feelings towards this news she is about to release.

I did not want to discourage her though I felt I may not like what she is about proposing so, I made her the same smile.

It must be weird to say though I feel I may not like the message the truth is I have been sensing she wants to let out something but never gathered the courage to do that and specifically based on the statements she makes whenever she talks of her job.

“Baby…” she mumbles 

I pretend I heard nothing because I want her to be audible so, I do not respond.

“Babe…” she repeats loudly, and I bring my full attention to her raising my brows.

“Uhh… there's something I want to inform you… which has been difficult to let out for some days now.”

I stared at her blankly and she handed me a form holding a promotion.

I gently received it

“Take a look… as you can see, this is a form concerning my promotion which was giving to me two days back but I left it pending because I was not sure how you would take it.” She expatiated

“Pitchoun! That is in California I guess…” I replied

“…yeah” she stammered 

I glimpsed at her expectantly, waiting for her to complete her statement but she said nothing.

“So, we will be relocating to the states…?” I inquired

“That is your decision dear. Whatever you want, I will do. Because you are what matters to me now and forever” she responded

Those words hurt me, but I could not get to accept this, though the proposal was life-changing and tempting.

I understood exactly what my mom felt and why she came to me this way. It was not an easy decision for me to live the place I spent ¾ of my life span.

Moreover, with part of me buried in the ground already decaying. I do not think I could ever stop missing this fragrance and love around me.

I keep feeling her every time I close my eyes. Like she is still fresh and stuck on me like she used to do every night she spends time with me.

“I will think about it” I replied

She sighs then says

“We do not have much time. Before dawn tomorrow, I will have to send a soft copy to this bakery. And all that has to be done tonight” she let out

I was speechless and leaned against my sit, tapping the edges of it with my nails.

After a minute of silence, I replied.

“Mum I… love you and do not want to be an obstacle to your dreams. There is no way you are going to refuse this just because I have challenging times. I want to be the reason you are happy and not the other way round. So, go on and accept it before someone else does” 

Though she did not want me to see the smile on her face, it could not hide as her eyes failed her.

“Thanks, so much sweetheart… mum will never forget this!” she gladly embraced me then walked to her room.

I do not know who has been in my shoes, but I felt after some days that this relocation was necessary for my wellbeing.

Before we left, of course, we told Bella’s family about it. They were happy but at the same time depressed because we were going far away from them.

They gave me a notebook of Bella that needed my attention. I did not want to go through it because I felt so heartbroken.

Furthermore, it was the same notebook I caught her writing within the day she was rushed to the hospital. 

When we got into the plane, I ended up opening every page of her book. And guess what! I was right not trying to open it. Because it was devastating knowing she was not going to survive in that surgery but did not know how to explain to me.

She hopped for something so dangerous! She played with our LOVE!

I could not keep reading those things as I closed the book and clenched my jaws. I wish she were here right now. I could have squeezed her so tight and given her kisses everywhere. I miss her so much! Like I would never accept a lady into my life.

After a day of our journey, we arrived in California. It is one of the biggest states with beautiful waters all around it.

I love their sun, its welcoming atmosphere, and friendly zones. We could find different people from the globe join and creating a very productive, progressive, and fascinating environment for both foreigners and those who live within.

Our baggage was transported to a taxi and we took off to a city called Los Angeles.
