My whole body was shaking like an earthquake “Give me 5 more minutes please” i said in almost pleading voice “No Get up now ERICAAAAAAA... you been saying 5 minutes from last half an HOURRRRR...it’s already  8 am Now GET UPPPPP......” Mike ordered shouting near my bed “Okay fine no need to shout I am Up..” i replied trying to get up my lazy ass of bed, i flutter open my eyes and stretch my body a bit when a big yawn escaped my mouth and suddenly i saw a big pillow flying my way and before i could react it hit on my face, i almost winced in pain not because i got hurt but because my night sleep left my mind “DONT YOU EVER DO THAT” i warned mike pointing my index finger towards him “You mean these ..” mike had another pillow in his hand “DONT “ was only word left my mouth when another pillow landed on my face “That’s it now you’re GONE...MIKE.LYRICS” saying that i dogged from my bed towards my brother hitting him with same pillow senselessly, he was trying to save himself by hitting me with another pillow ,our pillow fight was on, we both stopped after 5 minutes with heavy breathing , mike sat down on floor and i joined him too , we were laughing on our foolish self. I turned my head to see mike who was giving me most precious sight, he was laughing uncontrollably, Mike is my elder brother he is 2 year older to me and my only family, he is a great guy however he is an introvert and has stammering problem when speaking with strangers or when extremely nervous but I never encounter his stammering problem with me.....anyways toady was a special day for him he was finally going to propose a girl he met in his office year back. I can see him wearing dark black trouser and navy blue shirt tucked in perfectly showing his bicep with shiny black shoes , his hairs properly gel and styled backward and a slim black untie tie in his hand “Are you goanna just stare or tie these dam thing” Mike hissed showing his tie “you look so stunning yarr...mast ekdum” I said taking tie from his hand and start doing it around his collar once finished I helped him wear his black blazer ,he turned to me after giving a satisfying look in mirror

“What do you think” he asked , without saying anything i just showed him my thumps up with a big full smile. He blushed on my action i quickly hand over him small Tiffney box

I knew what was inside it and red rose bouquet he took them and made his way to go out “ Mike...WAIT...” I almost shouted from behind, I quickly rushed towards kitchen and got sugar and curd “have these...it’s for good luck” I said and made him eat one spoon “All the best brother” I said excitedly , “Thank you” mike said and lean down to kissed my forehead and finally left not before giving his bright smile. I closed our apartment door and stared at empty house i mentally asked myself if i should start my day or go back to sleep and like my instinct i know what my brain will say i went back to bed, time flew by and I woke up fresh, it’s always fresh when you wake up from your sleep, without wasting any second later I made my way straight to washroom and did my business I took small and quick shower and wore my long loose full sleeve white woollen top and full black leggings, after getting fresh I straight away went to kitchen to fill my tummy, I prepared myself noodles and fried rice with some chicken soup I placed my food on floor in front of my TV near my couch and called my one of good friend Sonia, Sonia is also our neighbour. RANGRANGRANG..... “COMMING...” I said while making my way to door I know who was so impatient on door it I saw a familiar skinny figure ,black headed girl wearing her PJ standing outside my apartment “I thought you would like some homemade ice cream” Sonia said showing Ice cream tub in her hand “What flavour?” I asked “our only love...DARK CHOCOLATE” she replied “Soul sister” I said making puppy eyes and taking tub from her hand, we played f.r.i.e.n.d.s on TV while having our dinner we talk and ate for almost hour, all empty bowl and dishes were lying on floor , we both thought about cleaning them and took all of them to kitchen ,after doing dishes and kitchen we both sat on couch with our after meal coffee cups “Is mike working late today....it’s almost 10 ?” Sonia inquired “No I believe he is busy with his date "i said focusing on my coffee, ”Who date?” Sonia asked “Ohh...I forget to tell you he is going to propose this girl today, someone from his office” i informed but Sonia chocked on her coffee and started coughing loudly “Are you Ok” i  inquired and started rubbing her back “ yeah yeah i am..am Fine” she said “who’s the girl” she asked with teary eyes i believe those were because of all chocking and coughing “ I...She..hmm She is some girl in his current office” I said hesitantly “ what’s her name..?” Sonia asked again , i sigh “ Her name is Preeti his colleague” we were in middle of our conversation when my phone buzzed , i quickly received it “Hello..” i said “Hello Ma’am my name is Messy and i am calling you from City Hospital, we have a patient admitted here these afternoon Mr.Mike Lyrics who is currently in I.C.U he asked us to call you, can you come to........ “ before she could complete her statement i ran away from Sonia and my apartment ,Sonia was shouting from behind but nothing was falling on my ears. I was running like mad women without shoes in cold night and snow cover street of New York, I halted a cab and got inside, within next 20 minutes i was outside city hospital, i tried to got out of cab but forget that I have no money to pay for cab at that moment only option i came up with was bargained my new iphone in exchange of my bill, after doing that i quickly got out and ran inside hospital upon inquiring at front desk i came running near a door which says I.C.U i rushed inside to only encounter a horrified scene which almost made my breath stuck and words die in my throat, My brother my mike was lying like a lifeless body on bed his face was swollen and had multiple black and blue marks, his upper body was covered with bandages ,i was completely numb looking at the sight in front of me, I felt a little wetness below my nose like instinct my finger touch it i saw dark red liquid on my finger its happening again, I am having bleeding nose , i quickly wiped it with my t-shirt sleeves and went near mike who woke up feeling my presence around him “Wh..who Di.d these....mikey?” i managed to speak “Sh..ee..She Sai..Said am use..less” mike replied a tear escape his eyes “Sh..ee Jus..t Played m..e too hu..milate me in fro..nt of every..one Eri” mike added “who hit you..?” i asked in plain tone “shee... as..ked her body..guards to sh..ow mee my place..,to sh..ow mee wh..ere i be..long ,t..hey hit me in...front of eve..rone” mike said with more pain any stated crying “please ta..ke me a..way from here Eri ”mike pleaded with teary eyes, I was speechless my mind was to numb to say anything, It is first time i am seeing him crying after that horrible night from our which still haunts me in night, looking at mike state rage filled inside me and now i wanted to make them pay for what they had done, I got up from my seat and was about to go out when doctor came in with some report “Erica Lyrics?” doctor asked “ye.s yess doctor” I replied “I want to have word with you..Outside Please” Doctor said. I went out with him and closed door behind “What is it Doctor?” I asked, doctor flipped few papers in his hand and said “Mr. Mike Lyrics, your brother he....he is in very critical condition, he has 3 broken ribs, both arms and right leg are fracture, we believe he was brutally torture by many people together, he has swelling all over his body and.....” doctor paused while speaking and accelerating my heart beat “And what doctor.?” I asked impatiently “when he was brought to hospital he wa....he was nude ,so we run some test on him and found out..t that he was Raped....” doctor said with pity “We found seven different DNA semen Sample in his butt....not sure how many of them were involved in torturing him but, seven of them raped him brutally.....” as soon as doctor completed his statement I fell down on my knees tears were rolling from my eyes like rain, everything around me seem moving in circular motion, doctor was saying something to me, my eyes were focused on him but my mind was blank to think anything. I don’t remember how long I was sitting in hallway but when I came to my senses i found myself surrounded by 2 nurses and same doctor “Ca..Can I use You..r Phone doctor” I asked doctor “ Yes” saying that he gave me his phone , It was midnight and i called only person i trusted now, half an hour later I saw Sonia running towards me , i jumped from my seat and hugged her tight, I cried hard and Sonia hold me tightly in her embrace. Few minutes later same doctor stood near us “Ms Erica , i know it not right time to speak but please be strong for your brother” doctor said in sympatric tone, i didn’t replied “I think we need to report these to police” doctor said in serious tone “NO..We are not going to report anything” i said getting up from my seat, i stare at doctor straight in his eyes “We don’t want to involve Police in these” i said in plain tone and walk inside mike room, he was awake but his eyes were dead and staring at ceiling , i sat beside him , i took his right hand and gave it a light squeeze with my both hands “I will find them and they will pay for these..mike” i said fixing my eyes at him, he shifted his eyes to me , his eyes were bloodshot “Samara...i we..nt to propose Samara” he said with no emotion, my body got stiffed hearing her name , i was not believing what i just heard but i quickly composed myself in front of him, these was notime for me to be weak, these was time for me to take REVANGE “Do you trust me Mike?” i asked him, he didn’t say a word but simply nodded, i kissed his forehead and walked out of his room, leaving Sonia beside him, i was on my way. I was walking with all rage, only thing going in my mind was to make them pay for what they had done to my brother, all i was seeing was RED.
