Author: It'sYaGirl_KaiPenelope!" Austin shouts, slamming my room door open. I jump back just a little, "WHAT THE FLIP, AUSTIN!" He then hops onto my bed, snatching my phone out of my hands. "NOT MY FAIRY TAIL!" I shout, reaching out to grab it. "Mom wants you downstairs. She's been calling your name for the past 10 minutes," Austin explains, as he tosses my phone onto the carpeted floor.
Oh, so that's the screaming I have been hearing.
I thought that was just a crazy character in Fairy Tail...someone like Juvia or something.
"Fine, but," I say as I hop out of bed, "Never snatch my phone out of my hand while I'm watching Fairy Tail." I then flick his forehead. "OW!" He squeals. I then walk past him, and pick up my phone, shoving it into my pocket.
Just in case you're lost, the whole school week went by pretty fast. So, yes it has been a week. It's Friday, and Austin, and I just got home from school about an hour ago. Also, you know that Isabella girl? Yeah, me and Isabella have become pretty good friends. We exchanged phone numbers yesterday at lunch. Just thought I should add that in there.
I then walk out of my room, and toward the living room. Slowly, I walk into the kitchen, and see my mom glaring at me. "Sorry...?" I say, awkwardly, it coming out more like a question. "You, and that Anime," Mother says, rolling her eyes.
Once an anime nerd, always an anime nerd. Or...once a nerd...always a nerd, no matter the category.
"Anyway, the neighbors are leaving out. Well, Linda, and Dawson are having a date night. So, they asked if it was okay if Liam came over until they got back," Mother explains. I stand there, kind of worried, but also nervous. I find myself crossing my arms. "I said that that is okay," Mother says, smiling, sweetly. "Wait, what?" I reply, confused, "So...Liam is coming over stay until his parents come back from their date...isn't he like 18?" Mother laughs a little, "No sweetie, he's 17 about to be 18. His parents want to make sure he doesn't invite any of his crazy friends over while they're gone."
HUH?!
Wait, wait, wait...what I'm hearing is that his parents don't trust him enough to allow him to invite his friends over...I wonder why.
"Is that okay with you?" Mother asks. I nod, knowing that I can't say no anyway. "Good. Now, I'm also going out tonight." My eyes widen, "Wait, you're going out, like...a date?" She nods, "I met him at the grocery store. He was absolutely adorable, and so hitting on me."
Did she...Is she...Gushing?
Wow...that's definitely new. I never thought I would see her smile like that ever again...especially after he left.
After about an hour or two later, Mother is finally dressed, and Austin is in his room playing video games...as usual. I, on the other hand, am just waiting awkwardly for this boy to get here. Ya know, so I could set some rules for him. For example, never interrupt me while I watch my anime. Suddenly, there's a knock at the door, and someone shouts from the outside, "The Esners!"
Speak of the devil!
Well, devils...
Wait, that sounds rude...
"I'm coming!" Mother shouts, while walking over towards the door, and sticking earrings in her ears, "Hey guys!" Linda, Dawson, and Liam walk in one at a time. "Thank you so much for allowing Liam to come over until we got back," Linda says, grabbing Mother's hands. I find myself rolling my eyes as they squeal like teenage girls.
I glance over at Dawson, seeing he does the same thing.
I don't even do that!?
Well, not entirely true. I do that when I'm, like, fangirling out.
"Hey, mind if I hitch a ride with you guys since we're doing a double date?" Mother asks. "Um, yeah!" Linda replies, her blonde hair shaking as she jumps again. "Annoying as fuck, right?" Liam says, appearing beside me. I jump just a little, "OMG! You scared the holy cheese nuggets out of me." He then begins to chuckle, squeezing his eyes close. "Holy cheese nuggets?" Liam asks, holding back a smile. I nod, " I don't curse. It's against what I'm all about." He chuckles, "I figured that, but why cheese nuggets? And, why are they holy?"
"Don't question me."
After a little bit, the adults finally disappear. When the cats are away, the mice come out to play.
************************************
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
He's just been sitting there.
Quietly. Laughing every so often, but all in all...nothing.
As if right now, Liam is sitting on the couch texting his friends.
Especially since the adults left about an hour ago.
I wonder what they're texting about...
On second thought...I'd rather not know...
I, on the other hand, have been sitting in the kitchen scrolling through Pinterest. Looking at cute couple photos.
Ya'know, making myself feel bad...
Plus, I'm trying to understand why Liam's parents don't trust him home alone.
I just think it's weird...
"That's so fake." I hear someone say from behind me, pulling me out of my thoughts. "AGH!" I squeal, jumping. Quickly, I turn around, and see the only other person downstairs, "LIAM!"
His head peeking over my shoulder.
The smell of his cologne washes over me. Making me blush like crazy.
Why is he so close to me?!?
"What? They are fake!" He protests, taking a seat right next to me. I glance from him to my phone screen, "What are you talking about?"
"The couple thing? That shit is fake."
"How do you know?"
"A guy's intuition never lies."
"Really?"
"Really."
I roll my eyes, "Okay. If you say so." He narrows his eyes, "What's that supposed to mean?" I narrow mine as well, "That means, I think that's dumb." I giggle, as he gasps, pretending to be offended.
"How could you think that?"
I shrug, "Because I've only heard of a woman's intuition. Not a man's."
"A man can have an intuition."
"Yeah, but you? I don't think so."
He playfully grins at me, "Okay Andrews, well played." I grin confidently at him, "I know right? Also, just out of curiosity, how long have you been standing there?" He then begins scratching his chin, "About...5 minutes. Or, less." I let out a sigh of relief. "That's good," I whisper.
I could go for some water right now.
I have been sweating badly since I found him standing behind me.
I stand, shakily. Watching, Liam asks, "Where are you going?" I raise a brow, "To get water. Where else?"
I turn around, when suddenly, I feel him grab my back pocket of my jeans, yanking me backward. I turn around confused, seeing Liam staring up at me. His head resting on his other hand.
What? Is there something on my pants?
OMG! I knew it!
"Aren't you forgetting something?" He says, letting go of my pocket, and nodding toward my phone. "OH RIGHT! My phone," I reply, nervously.
Safe to say...I don't trust him around my phone.
As he let's go of my pants pocket, quickly, I grab my phone, and shove it into my pocket.
THAT REMINDS ME!
"I have some rules for you," I say, gathering his attention, as I walk towards the sink. I grab a cup from the drying rack beside it, and turn on the faucet, "One, don't invite any of your friends over. Second, don't touch my Twinkies. Third, no playing loud music, like, ever. Fourth, wash your dishes after eating. Fifth, never, ever, ever, interrupt me I'm watching my anime." He nods slowly, "Wait...you watch anime?" I nod, confidently, as I turn off the faucet, and drink from my cup. He holds back a smile, "Really? Anime? That confirms it."
WHAT'S WRONG WITH ANIME?!?!
You know what, not important.
I clear my throat, setting down my cup on the counter, "C-C-Confirms what?" He looks at me, thinking, "Hold on." Standing, he begins jogging upstairs. "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" I shout, as I follow him. Stopping, he looks around the hallway, and sees the only room with a Fairy Tail emblem sticker on the door. Slowly, he opens my bedroom door, causing me to squeak with terror. I follow in after him. "Please don't-" "Oooo!" He interjects, walking over to my desk, and sitting down in my swivel chair, sinking into the seat, "Comfy." I stare at him, confuzzled, "What...what are you trying to confirm?"
"Nothing, just wanted to freak the fuck out you. Plus, I wanted to see your room. You have a lot of manga in here...weeb..." He says, looking up at all of my books on my bookshelf.
"Well, yeah. I love anime," I say narrowing my eyes at him. He smirks up at me, causing me to realise the situation at hand. "Why did you want to see my room out of all rooms in the house?"
He laughs a little, "You sure do ask a hell of a lot of questions."
"Well you're invasive," I reply, putting my hands on my hips.
"Well, you're tiny."
"I'm not tiny! I'm petite."
"Just another word for tiny," He explains, grinning, "I'm not saying there's anything wrong with you being so small." I look at him, as he swivels around in my chair. "I'm just saying that it's cute." My ears, and cheeks begin to burn. Quickly, I pretend to cough, trying to hide my blushy cheeks. "I, well, uh," I reply, clearing my throat, "I'm about to study, so unless you'd like to join-" "Really, study? It's the fucking weekend," He interrupts, turning back to face me, "C'mon! I know that your nerdy habits are a sickness, but try to fight back! Don't let the sick bastard win."
"I'm not sick."
"You might as well be if you're going to study over the weekend."
"Look, if you don't want to study with me, there are other rooms in the house. You do know that this is a two story house?" I reply, "Meaning, we have a livingroom, and a TV downstairs." He narrows his eyes at me, while I continue, "Plus, a remote. WOW! What a shocker!"
He stares at me, eyes still narrowed, "Damn. You...you are something else." I tense up, as he stands up from my swivel chair. "I like it," He says, winking at me. I gulp, as he leaves my room, closing the door behind him.
I let out a breath that I didn't even know I was holding.
Boys.
**************************
And, done!
Slowly, I stand up from my swivel chair, and stretch. I have been sitting for an hour. That's only a good thing when binge watching Netflix, or YouTube.
Anyway, just finished my work, slash studying session. What I really want to do right now, or deserve right now, is a snack. I could go for a cake of some sort. Fudge Round maybe?
Oooo!!! Or a twinkie. I forgot about those.
"Don't touch my phone!" I hear a very unfamiliar male voice shout from downstairs. Pulling me out of my thoughts.
If you hadn't notice, I'm in my head most of the time.
Ya'know, freaking myself out sometimes?
Actually...most of the time.
"I wouldn't have touched your phone, if you hadn't have touched mine, you moronic ass!" I hear yet another male voice. "Alright, shut up! You guys are acting like fucking 5 year old's," Liam shouts, causing the living room to go silent, "Plus there's someone upstairs, so keep it-"
"He started it!"
"No I didn't, you insensitive peasant!"
"I put in my earbuds for literally 5 minutes, and shit goes down," Chimes in yet another voice, but it sounds slightly familiar.
Identification: Male.
"Landon! Shut the hell up! And Xander...did you call him a peasant?" Liam asks, sounding just as confused as I am.
"Maybe..."
"I'm not a fucking peasant, Xander. I hate it when you call me that."
"Maybe if you stop acting like one, I wouldn't call you one, now would I, peasant?!"
I freeze, unsure what to do, or how to react.
But the real question is, did this boy really just invite his friends over to my house, literally after I explicitly said not to? Now I see why his parents didn't want him to be home alone. He invites his friends, and they are really loud, and more than likely destructive.
Alright, I've come to a conclusion. I'm going to go down there, and tell them to leave. Well, at least try. Carefully, I begin tip toeing to my bedroom door, and open it. Walking down the hallway, and towards to stairs, I hear muffled voices. I take one step down stairs, until, I trip over nothing.
Literally, NOTHING!
My eyes squeeze shut, as I brace myself for the fall. Quickly, and painfully, I begin tumbling down the stairs. I squeak at every bump down. Landing hard on my back, I stop, my vision blurry.
I let out a little cough, swallowing hard.
MAN! It feel like I just ran a marathon. I'm pretty sure I hit my head, several times going down. My head hurt. Actually, everything hurts!
OWWWWWWW!
"Ugh..." I barely let out. "OH SHIT! HEY ARE YOU OKAY?!?" I hear Liam, but didn't turn to look. I lay there, and slowly, my vision darkens.
