Not a mistake(9)

Aaron, Well, where should we start from what he feels. Hmmm, how about let's go to the past and highlight from the day his baby was born four years ago.

The most beautiful day of his life when he held his baby for the first time. His strong and handsome champ, Asher. That was the happiest day of his life.

Two months after his baby was born, he started to feel or like realize things, concerning Grace.

He noticed how things have changed. Grace doesn't talk like literally he never heard her saying anything. But he dismissed the thought thinking that maybe she's not feeling well or something and focused on his 2 months old baby.

Time has passed by and little by little, he feels like there's something wrong. He can't think of anything, but every time he comes home, there is this feeling like－like, he doesn't know how to word it. It's so gloomy or sad?

He doesn't know.

But after ten months when his baby turned 1 year old, he felt something. He noticed that he couldn't smell Grace's scent. He tried to, but there's no scent. His baby has both of their scent mixes, but Grace can't sniff it. It's like it's gone or something. Like she hides it, but that's impossible as he's her mate, he can smell her scent. And why even Grace use something to hide her scent?

That happens only when the mate is extremely weak to control itself anymore. He frowned at the thought, it can't be that right? He shook his head and dismissed the thought.... again.

Two years. His little Asher is now two years old, and you can already tell who's his favourite one. Of Course, his daddy. Because why not. He spent almost all of his time with his daddy. Alone. And he didn't even see Grace with Asher. Playing or anything.

He again noticed something. How Grace never smiles anymore. Scratch that, she does not have any emotions on her face anymore. It's always the blank face or the cold facade. Her eyes that were once warm and full of emotions are now looking so dead and cold. Her eyebrows straight before she always has a frown on her face or her lips that were once cherry red are now dried as hell leaving all the colour. Or her hair long and rough that were once soft and shiny. Her face that always had a soft natural blush on her face is now hollow and pale. Her chubby and healthy body is now only a boney and slim frame. Her skin is pale now instead of tan maybe because she never gets out of the house anymore. She wears baggy clothes now instead of her stylish and fashionable clothes. Her voice that once was soft deep is now a cold raspy.

He realized that Grace is not taking care of herself anymore like she used to do before. She is not showing any emotions or feelings. He realized that Grace is changing.

She changed.

He feels concerned but again......dismissed the thought.

Three years now, his little one turned three years old. And he can't be more than happy that his son is so smart and intelligent at such a young age. And the joy and pride he felt more when his son's first word was him.

"Dadda"

He remembered how excited and happy he was when his son out of nowhere exclaimed with his cutest boxy smile. Doesn't know where he gets this smile but it's such a unique smile he has ever seen. He cradles his baby in his arms and showers him with his kisses and loves making him giggle loudly at that.

That was the best moment of his life.

He also realized something. He noticed something about Grace....again. That she never goes on her heat anymore. In these three years, he never felt Grace in her heat. Yeah sure he doesn't want to be in his presence when he went on heat, but still, he's her mate and on top of marked and mated one. She can feel whenever she goes on the heat even from miles away.

Then why in these three years he never felt the pull towards Grace or to need to mate with her as he felt that time when he lost control over and impregnated her.

Did she even go on her heat in these years? No no, she sure went on her heat because How can she not? Heat is the most important for girls they have to－no they need to get in heat every once a year. To feel loved and wanted by their mates.

But to think of it, he also declined his bond the very first time his mate goes on heat and leaves her to handle it alone.

He felt a pang in his heart the very first time when he realized Grace never goes on her heat for 3 years straight because she already declared herself unwanted by her mate. Means she must be weak to even...

He shook his head. What is this feeling? Guilt? That he feels his heart so heavy, but why he doesn't care, right? It was all a mistake from the start, right? He never wanted to mate Grace, the bond forced him. Everything was a mistake.

But Grace gave him a handsome, strong baby, his utter happiness......
