D-day

Finally, the D-day has arrived as I am getting married to my knight in shining armour, note the sarcasm. I don't know which guy wants to marry a low life like me and what are the advantages or perks my so-called family is getting that they are so excited about it.

Within an hour I am going to get married to the man whom I have never met or about whom I have not heard yet. Yup, that's the truth of my life, after my mom is gone from this world my life has been controlled by my father, stepmother and their son...my so-called family.

"So the Bride is ready for a new adventure in life" came the voice of my bestie Rachel who was standing near the door frowning, don't know since when.

I know how much she is angry on me because of my decision but certainly, she also knew the bitter truth of my life, "Yup... All set to go, you say where is Steven?? he told me that he will come with you".

Along with Rachel, Steven is the one who supported me morally and emotionally when I lost mom and faced a hard time or can be said the worst time. These are the two to whom I can turn to anytime in my life, my one call away friends.

"Ya, he is out trying to be a detective to find out any sort of evidence that can help you get away from this mess," she replied with little to no hope laced in her voice.

But I know it's of no use..both of them tried their best in this whole week to get away with it but failed miserably, "Tell him to come back and don't bit around the bush, do you both think that it's that easy to find out the truth or get away with... Didn't you both tried this the whole week... I have to get married whatever it takes".

"So what, if you are getting married then also I am hopeful that I will get the information and help you out of this marriage" Steven heard our conversation comes by my side to which I rolled my eyes, "trust me princess and please don't lose hope... You know what I think, it will be easy to get away from all these after the marriage and I promise we both will be there for you" he told this with tears which were threatening out of his eyes holding my hands in his.

Finally, he succeeded in making me cry and we both hugged each other. "I love you and will miss you... I think that God has stopped making species of men like you out their" I mumbled crying in his arms, to which he smiles.

Rachel who was seeing all this started to scream, "come on guys this is not a real marriage but a forced one so please you bro-sis duo will stop this emotional drama for once and Emily buck up though this marriage doesn't mean anything but you are a bride you should look the best... Why waste your energy and beauty on something that doesn't matter" Sometimes it feels like we will need to replace our eardrums because of her high pitched voice. We are just a few inches away from you girl why don't you understand.

In the meantime, my stepmother comes to announce that I will need to walk down the aisle, along with my father but I insist on letting Steven walk me down, and God knows how the miracle happened that without any drama, they all agree to it.
