Chapter 1 The first meet

“The first time I saw you, my heart whispered ‘that’s the one’”-unknown

I dialed Jessica number from my phone. I hope she will pick it up in second. "Hey, Jess," I called her name once I heard her voice on the line.

"Hey, Ara. What's going on? You sound scared." I guess she noticed that my voice was shaking.

"Please help me, Jess. Matt goes crazy again. I'm hiding away from him now as I’m so scared. My body is freaking shaking now. I don't know what to do."

"Oh my, God!" She gasped at my words. "Ara, tell me where are you now and I will come to you as fast as I can!"

"I'm hiding at the hotel nearby his penthouse. The Loyalty Hotel. Please come faster. I'm not sure how long I can hide here." I said in a low tone. I don't want to risk myself being caught by that madman again.

"I will be there in few minutes. Please be careful, Ara." She cut off the line. I touched my face where Matt slapped me a moment ago. I can still feel the burning pain on my face. I can sense that it will become a bruise soon. I still hide myself on the exit stair. I don't dare to leave with the thought that I might bump into him again. He is out of his mind every time I confront him with our break up. He refused to let me go but I can't bear the pain with him; physically nor mentally.

I opened the door quietly and moved to the exit slowly. I looked at the sign and it showed number 7. l scanned my eyes around and walk out slowly from the door. I tried to find a better place to hide before Jess arrives.

"Ara!" My body immediately freezes and I turned around when I heard someone called my name.

My body trembled when I saw him. All I can see was anger. I know this will get worse if he caught me.

I ran as fast as I could before he reached me. I ran to the stair moved up to higher floor. I saw one of the guess room's door was slightly opened and I ran into the room when I realized Matt was not in the sight. I shut the door instantly without thinking far and leaned to the door while my hand hold the knob tight so it won't open in case he kicked the door.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" I was shocked when I heard a husky voice approached me; a guy's voice. I didn't think much when I entered the room earlier. I was out of my mind.

There was a guy stood in front of me with a black suit and an emerald green tie; a masculine guy which looks so perfect with his body feature. His muscle, his height, his brown hair and blue eyes seems so perfect. He stands nearby the table with his furrowed eyebrows.

"I..I'm sorry..I..I will leave now," I answered him in a trembling voice.

I turned around and tried to open the door but I heard Matt's voice outside the room. I immediately released my hand from the door knob and I stepped few steps backward with my palm covered my mouth tried not to make any sound. I can feel the guy walked towards me from behind and I turned to him.

"Please, let me stay here for a while." I whispered not to let Matt heard my voice.

Dominic POV

I was shocked when I heard someone closed the door while I was busy picking up my document that I need for meeting later.

It was a girl leaned on the door and she covered her mouth with her palm while her other hand hold the knob tight. A floral pink dress wrapped her body perfectly. I can sense the fear as she keeps checking at the door for few times.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" I break the silent when I realized she didn't notice my presence in the room.

"I..I'm sorry..I..I will leave now," she looked up at me and answered with her shaking voice.

She turned to open the door but she stop immediately when she heard noise from outside. There was a guy's voice at the corridor calling for someone but I can't hear him clearly.

"Please..let me stay here for a while.." she begged and looked at me. I can see tears in her eyes and I can sense her fear.

"What is going on?" I asked her and moved few steps closer to her.

"I..I just having some problem with my boyfriend and..and I can't meet him now."

I noticed the bruise on her face. It looked like someone slapped her. I tried to touch her cheek where the bruise was but she stepped away from me and I take the cue and stopped myself. We just stared at each other quietly until her phone rang.

"Ok, I will be there soon." That is what I heard when she pick up the phone.

"I will leave now. Thanks for your help," she said to me once she hang up the phone. I didn't manage to say anything until I saw she opened the door.

"Hey..." I gripped her hand when she was about to step out from the room. "What is your name?" I asked her.

"Sorry, I need to go." She released my hand and ran fast towards the lift.

"Hey.." I called her and ran to the lift to stop her but she ran too fast. The lift immediately closed and she disappeared from me. I felt disappointed that I didn't manage to get to know her.

My mind started ran wild with so many questions about her maybe because I can't get her name or maybe because I can't help her just now. I tried to figure out the reasons for my mind.

I noticed a bracelet on the floor when I walk into my room and there are letters craved on it. "Arabella," I read out the name. It sounds beautiful. I guess that belong to the girl just now. Ah, what a coincidence that she dropped it in my room. Like God answered my question with her bracelet. I smiled at my own crazy assumption.  Don't know why but it just made me happy.
