DOUBLE DEATH TRAP

A WEEK AFTER

Antonio stood in his library, glancing through some files on the shelf when Natasha trod in with a tray.

" Coffee....?", she called from the door.

Antonio slowly nodded, absent mindedly, gazing at the files. She smirked, placed the tray on the table and drew out a mini bottle in her pocket.

" Antonio....I'll like to visit Gisel at the hospital today with some flowers and a teddy bear....What do you say about that......" she uttered, glancing around consciously to make sure he wasn't watching while she drop the contents of the bottle into the coffee.

" That's great...", he answered, lost in his files.

" Here you are, your coffee"

" Thanks... "

He took the coffee and had a sip. Natasha smirked with a faint smile.

" Will you like to come with me to the hospital....?"

He slowly settled in his chair with a pale face, breathing heavily with difficulty.

" No...Nat, I'll visit later. You know my doctor asked me to have enough rest because of my health now. My heart still feels weak and beats faster when I stress. Although am taking the medicine he prescribed, yet it shows no sign of change(coughs).... "

" Sorry.... dear, take this water....I understand your condition but don't worry, you'll be fine in no time....."

" Thank you so much, Nat for all the love and care you show to Gisel and I. Although she is quite different from the other kids you know, yet you love her like your own. I really appreciate it and I love you so much for that..."

He held her hand and kissed her on her forehead. She smiled and held his hand as she stared into his eyes.

" No need to thank me dear...., am only doing my duty as Gisel's mother and your wife. I love her as much as I love you..."

She hugged him cheerfully.

" I've got to go now before visiting hours is over. I'll let Gina take charge while am away but please don't stress so much. Call any of the maids if you need anything and leave the documents and files, you need to take some rest. I'll ask George to come for them, okay..."

" Alright.... I will....".

" See you later then....bye..."

She kissed him at the cheek and hurriedly left the library smiling, cunningly.

THE BRILLIANTS SCHOOL COMPLEX

FOOTBALL FIELD

Desmond sat at the far end of the field in his jersey, gazing absent mindedly at his colleagues while they train, depressed.

Martin, Desmond's childhood friend stood among  their friends, starring worriedly at him. He sighed and glided over to his side.

" Hey.....Desmond, Are you okay? You've been like this ever since we started training. You neither train nor laugh as you use to...Tell me, is something bordering you?"

He asked nervously, settling beside him.

" Nothing ....., am fine", Desmond answered, looking down.

" What do you mean by nothing. Look here, Desmond. You are my childhood friend and I know how you behave when everything is alright with you. This is not like you...."

He drew closer to him and pulled his hand over Desmond's shoulder.

" You can trust me.....Come, let me know what the problem is maybe I can be of help...." he added worriedly.

Desmond raised his head, facing him as he starred quietly at his face.

" If I tell him is about Gisella, he might curse her. No...I can't let him speak evil about her. I feel hurt when people treat her badly. It's better I keep it to myself...", he thought to himself.

" I said nothing... Martin, just leave me alone...", he shouted and dashed out of the field angrily.

HOSPITAL

Natasha trod through the hospital towards Gisella's ward with flowers and a teddy in her hands. She suddenly saw a nurse exiting Gisella's  

ward.

" Nurse....please can I have a word with you?", Natasha called from the door, approaching Gisella's ward.

" Sure...ma'am..."

" Can we go inside? It's a private discussion... "

" Alright... let's go..."

They strolled back into Gisella's ward.

" How can I help you.... ", the nurse quickly asked.

" Uhm...I want you to inject her to death...."

" What...?, please I can't do this...such an evil act, No ma'am is against my profession... "

" You need to please. Can't you see, there is no hope of her gaining her consciousness. She will die anyway. Please help me end her suffering. I'll pay you any amount you want...."

 "Uhmm....okay...I'll do it..."

" Thanks so much dear..."

" Welcome. I've got to go now. I need to attend to other patients..."

" Alright.... later..."

The nurse hurriedly left the ward. Natasha slowly moved to Gisella's bed, smiling.

" Let's see how you escape this time....It's an inevitable double death trap. If one fails, one will surely get the task done.

She dropped the flowers on the table beside Gisella's bed and the teddy bear beside her on the bed.

Natasha drew out a small bottle like a perfume and sprayed it on the flowers and the teddy bear, covering her nose.

" Sleep well...my baby and send my regards to everyone at the other side, especially your mother... (chuckles).

She caressed Gisella's hair and glided out of the ward satisfactorily, smiling.
