Author: MJ OperaI knew my place with Kola was not solid enough to be making mouth at Tomi who has been his best friend for years but I was pissed, that girl had hurt Kola, granted before I met him but she still had to act like she is the most important person in his life. She might be but I was betting on me being special enough to Kola for him to tolerate me and he did. That alone gave me joy, I was ignored by the other ladies in the party, Tomi even had the audacity to introduce Cynthia, Kola ex girl friend to me and I had to bite my lips as I watched as Cynthia tried to flirt with Kola. The guy was just acting dense and as usual, it was endearing to me but I was tired of watching a lady fling herself at my boyfriend while the girl who introduces herself as Kola best friend to others was actively trying to make me look like a fool.
I needed to make an escape to cool down a little bit. I stood up in the middle of Tomi describing gold diggers and how they act around people who weren’t their class, all she needed to do was put a sign board up pointing to me that I was the one she was describing. “Going somewhere.” Tomi asked in a self-satisfied tone.
“Yes, I am going to meet Kola and tell him that according to your definition, he has a gold digger by his side currently.” I flung back at her without facing her. His parents and the older people have retired long ago so it was mainly just young people and the ones who wants to network that were still around.
“Babe.” Kola smiled with his eyes brightening as he straightened when he saw me approaching him. Cynthia had the decency to step away from him when I got close.
“Hello Kola. How long do we still have to remain here?” I asked him as I leaned into his arms with a tired sigh.
“We will are just here waiting for the organizers to finish packing up and then we will make some plans about when next to meet before we can go, that tired already.” Kola asked tilting his head so he could see my face as I rest on his chest.
“You have no idea.” I responded. “The week has been a busy one.” “I know and I am sorry for adding this to your schedule, how about tomorrow we hang out. Just us doing anything you want.”
“I will like that.” I said with a real smile as Kola nodded. “I also need to answer nature call.”
“I can show you the way.” Cynthia offered as I smiled.
“Perfect.” We moved off as Tomi shouted after us, when Cynthia told her where we were going, she joined us as my smile went bigger. These girls thought they could intimidate me but let’s see who ends up being intimidated.
They waited for me to start washing my hand from using the toilet first before they started in on me. “Listen, you are not enough for Kola, you are nothing but a plaything, he deserves a woman.” Cynthia crowded me as I smiled then turned to face her.
“And I am sure that you are so annoyed that you couldn’t hold on to him when you were his plaything and now, you want me to let him go. The answer is simple I won’t.” I said to her.
“You Bit…” Cynthia started.
“Shut up, if you want me to have you thrown out, complete that insult.” I dared as Tomi scoffed.
“You and which power. You are nothing but a gold digger.”
“Out of the three of us, I am the wealthiest here.” I tell Tomi with a smile. “I am happy with my life and I don’t need to gang up on someone else to feel like I know my place, I have a man who loves me regardless of less than savory family members. Oh wait, you are not a family member yet so I don’t have to give a fuck about what you are saying.”
“You annoying little girl.” Tomi gritted out. “Kola can never be yours, I will change his mind, just wait and see.”
“You and which power.” I asked her repeating her earlier words. “Currently, you are nothing to him.” when she flinched I added. “That is what you get for putting his brother before him.” I added as I turned to leave.
I was already outside when she hold my hand and use it to turn me to her. “Remember that you are not a friend, I will use all means available to ensure he doesn’t end up with you.” She hissed in my face as I blinked my eyes unbelievable.
“All these all because I refused to bend backwards and show you that you can control me. How did this work out in your head, Kola will get a girlfriend who you can dictate for and she will gladly worship the ground you walk on?” I yanked my hand away from her hold. “Let me be clear on something, I don’t care about what you think you are but bring it on. Kola is my Boyfriend and you are not even a friend.”
I had already walk a few steps away from her before she added. “This isn’t the first time that I am having a quarrel with Kola, in the end. We always remain friends and I get what I want, keep that in mind…babe” I paused at her words then shrugged it off and continued to walk, this time I will stay with Kola when I get back outside and what she said was before, those things certainly didn’t apply to the present.
Right?

MY PERFECT MATCH Our happily ever after.
“Who is it?” I shouted as I stood up, a little woozy from my excessive drinking even though my head was clearer now. I opened the door without looking. “What?” I screamed into the face of the person.“Gross. Try that again and I will hurt you.” Stella threatened from my door step as I blinked a couple of times to determine that she was real. “So are you going to let me in or am I going to force my way in?” she demanded and her words broke me out of my stupor, I stopped blocking the doorway so she could enter.“Stella what are you doing here?” I asked her as I shut the door behind her and followed her to the sitting room.“If you are not happy to see me just tell me now so I can leave?”“What’s the point, you are leaving either way.” I tell her not referring to her leaving my house. MY PERFECT MATCH It isn’t enough
Today was the day. I breathed out heavily, hoping to release the tension I was feeling but it didn’t help. I was going to attend Tomi Traditional marriage, the white wedding was tomorrow but I wasn’t sure I could get the chance to have a private chat with Kola then.“Are you sure you want to do this?” Bode asks.“Of course, she will so be worried about my presence, I want her to feel uncomfortable a little bit.”“But it is Kola brother who is getting married, why will the bride feel that way?” Bode asked again as I smiled at him. He doesn’t know the full story and no matter how much I was upset with Tomi and Kola, I wouldn’t tell another soul what happened since it can affect her happily ever after. I didn’t get mine because of her but that doesn’t mean that I will repay evil with evil.“Okay oh, let’s go.” Bode said as I smiled and came down from his car the same time he did and rou
MY PERFECT MATCH fairy godmother
Uncle Tony made good of his threat, he left jail the next day after posting bail. He also sent men to kidnap me but the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crime Commission) swooped in and arrested him. Apparently, according to the small information that I could hear while I was still bundled up in the kidnappers nest when everything had gone down, Uncle Tony was being investigated, had been for a while and that someone tipped them off that something was going to happen to me so they watched me too and used this to pin Uncle Tony down.“… Chief Anthony decided to confess his crimes for a reduction in his sentence, from NTA, I am Aisha Yusef reporting.” Bode clicked the TV off in my hospital room.“We need to celebrate.” Bode turns with a flourish and a grin so wide, you could probably count his thirty two teeth.“Alcoholic beverages please.” Ivy added after letting out a whoop and a shocking waist roll that
MY PERFECT MATCH The talk
“You asked to see me Kola?” Tomi asked as she entered my office, she must have gotten my text the night before, I sent it the night before and I couldn't care less when she got it. It didn't matter to me if she had to rush here. Somehow she must know that this is our last time together.“Have a seat.” I tell her. When she sat down she started to talk but I didn’t call her here to listen to her talks, I called her here for her to listen to me. “I never meant for you to be unhappy Kola, believe me…”“Stop, I am not in the mood for your apologies. Why did you do it? That’s all I want to know, why on earth were you convinced that you like me or that I liked you, yeah sure, I might have liked the idea of us being more but that was because you were a safe place for me, why did you have to ruin it?”“Because I thought we would be more.” Tomi
MY PERFECT MATCH Moving on

“Are you sure that, that is what happened?’ Ivy asked gently but still annoying. This is the sixth time she was asking that question within the hour that I have gotten home, Bode is still in the sitting room while I was changing, and he wanted to see me calm first
MY PERFECT MATCH Heartbroken
I don’t know where I was driving to. All I knew was that I had to get away from Kola before I would run him down and I needed to get as far away from him as possible. A police checkpoint was ahead of me and when I stopped in front of them, I tried to cl
