"How's it going?"

Sheng Xi'an held the mobile phone in her hand tightly and said, "He did not answer my calls."

She had called Huo Shaoting three times in succession, but they were hung up immediately every time.

Hearing that, Sheng Xi'an knew that the call had gone through. She could not help smiling bitterly again. He refused to answer her calls, which clearly showed how much he disliked her.

"What? You're not coming?" Old Master Huo suddenly raised his voice. "What the hell are you talking about?"

What Huo Shaoting said on the other end of the line was unclear, but it made Old Master Huo's face darkened instantly. "There are so many people here waiting for you. This birthday party was held for you too. How can you just say that you're not coming? I'll make an excuse for you, but you must come to the Mingshi Hotel within half an hour, do you hear me?"

Ye Shu was not in the mood now to attend to Sheng Xi'an. As she was dedicatedly listening to Old Master Huo talking over the phone, she also became anxious secretly while thinking, "Shaoting was fine about this birthday party several days ago, so what's wrong with him today?"

If you don't come today, I won't go easy on you! Hurry up and get your ass over here, do you hear me?"

After the phone call, Old Master Huo was still furious. He even started to pant loudly, his face ghastly pale.

Fearing that Old Master Huo might become sick due to anger, Ye Shu comforted him. "Dad, if Shaoting can't make it, then leave him alone. It's only a birthday, and it happens every year. Don't get angry about such a petty thing. I'll teach him a good lesson later."

"A woman's soft nature! What do you know?" Old Master Huo roared impatiently when looking at Ye Shu, "Is this a petty thing? Xi'an has been busy with it for so long. How can he disrespect other's efforts like this? That ungrateful little brat doesn't know what's good and what's bad at all!"

Feeling extremely upset in her heart, Sheng Xi'an managed to force a smile on her face in front of Old Master Huo and Ye Shu. She then said, "Grandpa, it's nothing."

Ye Shu squinted at Sheng Xi'an. "Dad, don't get too excited. You see, she said it's nothing."

Old Master Huo intended to scold some more, but at the sight of Sheng Xi'an, who was still standing there, he heaved a heavy sigh in the end.
