Back at the shelter, Lankko tried different tests on the jade statue. He knew that the statue was of strong magic. He felt its energy when the statue was still at the temple, pulsing as if it were alive. It was able to mask all other currents of energy and overshadowed Mira’s trail that he was following with his senses. In the short time that Lankko was able to sense the energy flowing in all things, it was the first time that he sensed energy of such magnitude and he felt drawn to it.
