Comma?

"uhh ...." Sera wanted to talk but her mouth was too sore and dry. She found herself tied to many machines. She also realized that she was only able to make on arm. She couldn't move anything else. She tried to look around as she remembered she was at the bar but right now it looked like a hospital.

"rise and shine sleeping beauty .it took you two days to wake up"  dennis said while checking up on her. He moved a flashlight to check her sight. He asked her to squeeze his hand which she did but slowly and tirelessly.

"why am ....... I ...... here ?" She asked but she regretted talking after she finished.

"well , you had an accident and most of your bones are fractured but nothing permanent if you take the rehabilitation . if you want details Daniel here can tell you everything cause I got to go" Dennis left as he was paged to another room. He patted Daniel and signaled for him to take over.

"you crashed in to a barricade while driving and we were hoping to find the reason cause your tests came clear and weren'tdrunk to make such an obvious mistake while driving . I witnessed the whole thing and I am still surprised. How could you hit the barricade. Did you want to kill yourself."  Daniel told her as he was making her dink water by a straw. She felt a little better as she could now talk. 

"I don't understand , last thing I remember I was moving mark to my car with the waiter and rode off ....oh shit shit shit" Sera started to remember the events of the accident. She felt grateful that she survived but she realized the problems that she will face.

"so you remember ,would you mind telling me " Daniel needed to hear the story so that he may be able to call of the therapist. 

"it is complicated but he tried to kill us both then he came back to his senses but it was too late. Is he alright ?"

"..........."  Daniel didn't know how to tell her. He never had trouble delivering bad news but this time he couldn't do it. He was silent.

"tell me I can handle it " Sera realized that the news aren't good. She prepared herself and gave Daniel the push he needed.

" I don't know how to tell you this but we did everything in our power to save him the rest is up to him" he told Sera. He felt anger as he wasn't able to save both of them.

"comma ?" Sera asked wanting to know more details. She didn't give herself time to grieve. She was already thinking of solutions to the upcoming problems.

"yes" Daniel told her as he realized that she didn't show any emotion. He realized that she wasn't the character that he previously carried and the one who begged for her life. They were too. Different people.

"percentage of him waking up ?" She asked in a commanding way. She stared at his grey eyes.

"really bad " Daniel realized her blue eyes were clashing with his grey eyes eager for the information.

" I want a number " she told him while preparing for the worst.

" 7%"  Daniel told her the worst senario.

"oh !!" Sera realized what she had just heard. She felt pain cause after all he was her friend. She didn't want to feel that. 

"I am sorry " Daniel caught on the emotion that she was feeling . She tried to help but he could only apologize. 

"I was wondering how you saw the accident" Sera felt that it was weird that he knew she hit a barricade.

"lucky for you I got off work early and was met with your car . I wasn't the only one who saw the accident so I am guessing you know what that means" Daniel told her his story but he also warned her of a bigger problem.

"oh !!, the press knows I am here"  Sera understood what he was referring to. This was one of the problems that she was thinking about. She had a solution in mind.

"I don't like to brag but you shouldn't worry much cause I sent you to Russel hospital" he told her the name of his hospital as everyone knew it was one of the best and it also respects privacy more than the human life.

"  thank you for saving my life and sending me here but another question .... did any family come check on me? "

"there was your mother, father ,aunt and they caused us too much trouble and didn't pay even though they are from a high class family . that is stingy" Daniel sat down while telling her about what her family had done.

"gee thank you for saying that in my face but you. are right .about the money my credit card is .." Sera sighed as she was about to tell him her card's number but he interrupted her.

"your manager who is considered to be the only one who cares payed " he told her about the manager who was crying and shouting at the doctors when Sera was in surgery.

"oh!!" Sera smiled a bit after hearing about her manager. She realized that Daniel was trying to cheer her up.

"anyway I would like you to tell me the names of the people you want to visit " this was part of the privacy protocol as no one is allowed to enter unless the patient gives his consent. That only applies to people who are going to wake up. That meant anyone could visit Mark.

"yeah sure "

she told him the names of the closest people she has and asked the last question

"did someone named Anna visit " she asked in an anxious tone.

"well there was  but she didn't want to visit you .she wanted to visit him " Daniel said that in an  ashamed vibe as he knew she was her sister.

"oh!!"

"...I will get going . I will check up on you later ." Daniel's pager rang and he had to go.
