Topic of gossips

I walk into the lecture theatre and a chill runs up my spine the moment I realise it's empty. The room was empty and there isn't any single soul in the room expect for one." You made it." 

"Was class cancelled?" I asked as, eyes darting around the room as I took in just how alone I'm with my professor.

     "Nope you're right on time." 

Timothy walks towards the seats away from his desk. He brushes by me, completely ignoring my state of confusion as he sit down next to my seat.

        "Then where is everyone?" I look at him, face presses into a frown. He open up a book in front of him, barely meeting my gaze as he passed me a glance.

       "Their class starts at 9,yours starts at 8. You looked lost yesterday thought I could help you." His eyes go back to the pages of the book. He taps onto the seat, willing me to go to him, willing me to him but I stay still. 

          "Tim-- Mr. Timothy," I instantly catch myself I cleared my throat," I don't need extra help-----"

     "Just sit down, will you?" He cuts me off with a groan, tilting his head to the side as he finally meet my gaze. His black eyes shining. 

    I gulp on to air unintentionally as my head drop into a nervous nod. I make my way towards him and sit beside him . I keep my eyes on the book before me, waiting for him to start but he isn't. I turn my head towards him and my eyes meet his. He's staring. Right. Into. My. Eyes!!!

    My heart picks up it's paces as a nervous thrill rushes through me. 

     "So." he leans in, his eyes tearing away from me and onto the book. As he inches towards me, his scent embraces me and I'm back to being distracted. It's an oceanic scent that isn't too overwhelming but strong enough to hold my attention. 

        He reaches out to point at a certain word towards the book, his arm brushes against mine as I jolt with the sudden zap that surge through me.

      "What's wrong?" His brows furrows, Eyes studying me.

I shake my head no, my voice traps into my throat. I look back to the book, breaking the little staring contest that we're having. 

      "As I was saying yesterday into the class-----" and I zoned out. 

"Get it?" Timothy ask me, snapping me out of the thoughts . I have no idea how long he was speaking for but we're on the different page and questions. 

"Am I falling for his, no.... I can't....

I shake me head, eyes fluttering, rapidly. "Yes." 

I look at him only to notice shaking his head. 

      "I know you just lie." He chuckle. "Don't worry though, you'll get it soon." He closes the book and look into my eyes.

    In a second that we stare into each other's eyes, the bell rings. Timothy gets up as he make his way to his desk. 

     "Try to catch up in the class." He give a warm smile before writing something on the board. 

    A Swarm of students flooded the classroom, filling the empty spaces and for some reason for I'm finally able to breathe again.

"Good morning Mr. Holden" the person to come in greets him, Edward, who instantly looks towards me as he notices I'm already here. I lay my eyes upon Timothy, who was starting at the boy down by my side. 

       "Why are you so early, cupcake?" Eddie asks me, he opens his school bag, smiling at me but panting as if he come back from a marathon. I smile at him but answer. "Mr. Harold asked me have extra as yesterday I couldn't pay attention to his lecture." Edward glance at Timothy and he says " if you're having problems with your studies, I'll help you, we will study together after the class, ohkay?" 

       "It's okay Eddie and thanks for concern but after the class I need to go and search for some good part-time job." I deny him. 

      "Why? why do you need a part-time job? he ask me with concern.

     I lick my lips before telling him," Actually.... I'm having some financial problems right now so I need a part-time job." He nod his head. 

    "Ahh, Jenny I have a question to ask you?" he say nervously.

     "Yeah, sure tell me what is it?" I smile and ask him.

    He rub his neck shyly ," Actually the place where I'm staying right now is so far from the school and take me so much time to get here. As you can see when I came here I was panting because I come here running. So........." He stops and look at his feet nervously.

"So..... what Eddie, what is it...tell me" I pinch his chin to make him face me and he became stiff by my touch, I hurriedly take my hand back and said sorry. 

      He cleared his throat and said, "So what I'm saying if I know that your apartment is close from here, so I want to ask if you could let me share your apartment...."

     "What!!!!" I exclaims and my eyes goes wide. He cover my mouth with his hand, " Shh.... why are you yelling it's not what you think, what I meant is I will pay you rent. So please please let me stay there... I have no where else to go... and I'm having so much problem with this also I not able to concentrate in my studies... will you please..." He ask me with pleading voice.

     It's a good idea, if I let him stay there so he will pay me rentals.. It will help me to solve my problem. He look me with disappointment cause I not replying him. He looks upset.

    "Ohaky, deal" I tell him smiling. 

   He looks at me excitingly, "What, really?? you're not kidding me, right???" 

   "No, I'm not!!" I assure him.

He hugs me happily," Thanks alot, Jennifer I can't tell you how happy I am right now, you solved me really big problem, thank you so much."  

    I pat his back with my hand," You're suffocating me, leave me now, will you??"

   "Oh sorry sorry, did I hurt you, actually I got excited so I forgot" he shows his boxy smile which could make any girl fall for him. 

   "Yeah, yeah, it's okay.... but I have a condition." I tell him

  " And what is it?" he ask me confusedly.

   "You can't tell anyone that we're looking together, I mean that you're going to stay in my apartment as a tenant, Ohkay?" 

    "Why?" he raise his eyebrow and ask curiously.

    "Because I don't want anyone to misunderstand me and I don't want to be a topic of gossips."

    "Ohkay, I won't tell anyone, but please let me stay there. Don't kick me out" he say and we both laugh.
