Butterfly knot

My feet get freeze on the spot after listening my name on the radio announcement. Now everyone in the school will bully me, again I'll be the centre of everyone's attention ✨

But still I followed them where they are taking Eric . I can feel that everyone is look at me with disdainful eyes. I can hear my name between their curses. They are saying that Eric got injured for blocking a ball for me with his bare hand and I'm a bitch who only know how to seduce boys.

We reach at the locker room but some people blocked my way to go inside. I try to look inside if I could see Eric but I see our principal, standing in front of him ."What do we do with your hand? Can he play with his hand like this in the next game?" first he ask Eric but then he turn towards the coach and ask him.

      "The hospital said that it will be hard for him to play....." the principal cut him off with his loud voice," What nonsense are you saying... don't you know we need to win the next game?," I'm just speechless how can a principal be so selfish , can't he see he's hurt right now but he's only thinking about the game.

        "They said that it will be overdoing it but our Eric is so great he can do it?" his coach shamelessly stated and elbowed him to agree with him, he just nod him head lightly, baring all his pains. 

         "It's all because of that girl, is her name Jennifer Hudson?" the principal ask the coach about my name and I subconsciously clutch the notebook in my hand, fearing if he is going to expel me. My tears stars flowing down without my noticing.

       "From now on ,make sure she doesn't come near Eric. Also, same goes with our baseball team!" principal order them and turn around to leave, that's when my eyes meet with Eric's eyes and I hurriedly take some steps back to hide myself behind the wall. 

     I turn around and I just run and run, passing everyone's gaze and every classroom . I run until I reached to a door , a door of the storage room, where I always hide myself whenever the students tried to bully me in the past and I didn't come out of this room until they all got tired of finding me.

          I open the door of the room with my trembling hands and walk in. I hastily shut the door closes with a bang and lock it from inside. As soon as I locked it I body falls on the ground like a heavy stone,I starts crying , I cry out loud because now all the past memories is running wildly in my mind, the fear of being bully again making my body numb and cold. I curl up my body into ball and hold my legs within my arms.

         I again hear an announcement, the person who's calling my name is Edward, my bestfriend ," Jennifer, if you're hearing this, please come to the broadcasting room. Jennifer ,are you listening? let's meet at the back side of the school." After hearing this I again starts crying hysterically because I don't have enough guts to even go out of this room.

        "It's all because of me. The tumors have already spread throughout the school." I start mumbling and I put my head down , suddenly my phone buzz making me jolt out. I take the my phone out of my school uniform pocket to check it. I got a message from an unknown number. I swipe up to see the content of the message.    

   "Hey,Radio Jockey, come to the locker room." 

                   - Eric Gray."

I shock to see the name under the message it's from Eric but from where did he get my number. I hurriedly wipe my tears and get out of the storage and rush towards the locker room. 

I reach to the locker room but a guy who is coming out of the locker room stop me and warned me.

     "Hey, don't get close to Eric. Don't hangout with him . He's not feeling well. Okay!" 

I just look down and nod my head in understanding, that guy push me to the side and walk away.

     I take a some breath in and out and slowly push open the door. I shut it close again and walk to sit on a bench where he's sitting , holding a white bandage roll in his hand but I still sit maintaining a proper distance between us. I don't want him to be in more problems because of me.

      He look at the distance between us and darted his eyes on me," What are you doing? Help me." He gestures with his eyes to his injured hand.

      "I can't do this." I tell him liking my lips. 

"Then want me to do it with one hand? Come here." he narrow his eyes and orders me.

   I sigh and stand up to help him with the bandage. He handed me the bandage but I ask him ," Oh by the way, how'd you get my number ? " 

" Do you think its hard to get your number for someone like me who is the star player" he smirk and I just nod my head and start wrapping the bandage still maintain the distance and I end up wrapping it so roughly.

              "What are you doing right now?" he ask me raising his eyebrows.

"What if I hurt you again? I'm sorry, it's all because of me " I reply still continuing wrapping it but take a glance at him . He's bites his lips to control his temper, " Hey . You. Who said it's because of you?"

    "I heard your not feeling well. I'm sorry it's because-"

"STOP SAYING IT! " he cuts me off almost yelling at me with make me taken a back, " Who said I wasn't feeling well?" 

"The one who receives the ball..." I tell him that guy work as I don't know what's his name.

He sighs and roll his eyes ," ah that fatty?" 

"Oh , his name is fatty..." I nod my head knowing that guy name who told me that Eric is not feeling well, but he just look straight into my eyes with blank expression as if I said something wrong but he laugh out loud making me dumbfounded.

     "Hey, wind it up tightly." he shakes his head still smiling showing his adorable dimples.

I look at his injured hand which is full of bruises," It must be tough for you." I ask him with concern and starts wrapping it . "Mind your work, please." he lightly cough and look away.

"Sorry you can't use your hand properly." I apologise to him and he say," If you're sorry ,work as my right hand until it'll be heal." 

 "Okay." I agree and I tie a knot after winding his bandage. He look at his hand for few seconds and again starts laughing. He rub the back of his head while laughing and then he look at me. 

"Did you tie a butterfly knot." I just nod smiling.

"This drives me crazy, it's so childish..... but you're cute." he said this and my smile fades.
