Chapter 2

** You are worst of worst Athena**

She walked back to the foster home with the slow steps along with him. And, she stopped her footsteps in front of the gate of the foster home.

“Why did you stop here ?” he asked.

“ I live here. This has been my house since the last 16 years,” she answered pointing her index finger to the foster building.

” Oh! I am sorry,” he asked for the forgiveness scratching his neck.

“No, it’s ok. It’s not like it’s your fault that I don’t have parents. Then, I will head inside,” she bid a farewell and walked inside of the gate.

He gave a faint smile and raised his hands and shook them to bid her farewell.

This was the first time she has ever been in so long talk with some guy. There was a certain blush in her face and a vague smile which stopped when she saw the five of them standing in a line, waiting for her.

Athena, the leader she walked in front of them and grabbed the snacks from her hands and point out her index finger to her and said,” make sure not to speak back at me.”

She stood there unconsciously and got back to her senses when she heard the loud bell  ringing at the top of the foster home.

“Oh, God! I can’t be late again,” she said to herself and quickly went to get something to eat but you know, she was late for breakfast, and they were so strict of time.

So, she couldn’t get any. So, she walked back to her room and climbed to her bed and changed into the school uniform, and walked to the school with a hungry stomach.

She thought if only, if only she had her own parents, she should have never been to school with a hungry stomach. The store was far away and she had limited money.

“Guess, I wouldn’t be able to save some money this month too,” she talked to herself.

She has been saving the money for some years, with one dream, to have a place to stay for herself away from all of them and for her college. And she was working really hard for the scholarship.

“I hope I get the one for the high school and college too,” she said with a vice which was so unheard to herself.

“What? What do you hope to get ?” she got shocked when she heard the voice of a male behind her.

She turned back to see who it was and find out that it was Aries.

“Aries! What are you doing here? How did you get here ?” she asked with a happy face.

“ Are you so happy to see me ?” he asked her.

“Yes, you are my only friend Aries,” she said with the biggest and the brightest smile that she has ever shown to anyone throughout her life.

“Ok. I just stay nearby here,” he said and walked her to the school and then went away.

She looked him from behind and felt so happy as there were thousands of butterflies dancing  a jazz inside her stomach.

“Oh! What a scene is this? Seems like our little bitch is so happy and falling in love,” there came the harshest and the most awful voice of the world. The voice she hates to hear  to the core of her heart.

She looked at them and said,” So, can’t I love him? Don’t I have the right to like someone too?”

“Wo…wo… this little wimp has become so much brave. What is the reason behind this? Is it the power of your so-called love ?” she whispered pulling Heidi’s ponytail.

“Ouch…leave me. It’s school, not a foster home where you could bully me,” she said trying to take off her hands from her hair.

“Wherever I see I will bully you shit...It doesn’t matter whether it’s a school or the foster home,” she grabbed it tightly and left after our class teacher shouted at us.

“Hey! girls what are you doing? You can’t fight here. I want all of you in the office right now,” he said with a large and commanding voice.

“I shouldn’t have touched the dirty shit today,” she gave a big eyes full of anger and the hate in them and walked to the office.

The class teacher asked only me at the beginning and then, I told him everything as I was being comfortable with his words. I thought, at least I could be happy and at peace, if I say everything to me.

Later, he called the foster home and suspended all five of them for a week.

She really felt so happy to get them punished. Her heart was so contended to get them punished.

But, it didn’t become as she has thought. It got worse than before.

“What is that dog’s name who you are after ?” she asked pulling her hair.

“Why do you want him,” she said confidently without ant regret in her eyes.

“ This wimp… Why the hell do you never cry? Is there not a tear gland on your body or what? Today I am gonna torture you till I don’t get to see the tears on your eyes.

She slapped her couple of times, pulled out her hair, make her so miserable and so pitiful, yet she didn’t see a single drop of a tear on her eyes.

“What the hell? Why are there no tears in her eyes? Her impudence is really making me torture her more and more.

She stood up and then kicked her hard in her stomach. She jumped and cried in pain.

“Still  no tears. Are you some kind of witch that the students in your class tell? Do you have something in you that makes you stronger every day?” she said arrogantly.

“She really must be a  witch,” another one added.

“Do you know what do we do to eliminate the witches ?” one of them spoke in between.

“We burn them. Witches are dangerous to the society,” Athena mumbled.

“I am not a witch. You might be and I am not dangerous to the human society but a witch-like bitch like you are dangerous to the society,” Heidi spoke with the courage without tears in her eyes.

“ You wimp. How dare you talk back to me? ,” she said.

For the first time in her life, Heidi laughed, laughed with an evil smile to them.

“You are a devil, Athena. You are a real witch. And, I will never bow down before you,” she said courageously.

“Oh! Really…. This girl is a real witch. I think to burn her so that my heart could get some peace. I am tired of this foolish bitch,” she said and asked her girls to bring the petrol and a matchstick.

While they were busy searching the matchstick s and petrol she ran away like so quickly from there.

It was freezing cold outside. The temperature was less than -10 degree Celcius and she hadn't even shoes in her legs.

But, at that time only one thing mattered to her. She didn’t want to die from their hands. Even if she dies, she thought she shouldn’t have died from her hand.

She ran and ran and ran, till she didn’t know where she was exactly running too.
