Chapter 02: NATALIE SAMRAT

The digital clock in a special ward of "The Max " was reflecting half past 10. This special ward was where "Patient on bed number 37" was shifted. Mrs. Wade was sitting beside her with tiredness clearly visible on her face. She has decided to stay by her side, so as to be available for her  incase, she wokeup  and needed something.

Everything happened so fast that nobody got the chance to react, and now nobody knew what was going to happen next.

She looked at the young girl sleeping on the hospital bed  and felt a shiver in her heart,what could have happened if things didn't turned out (Today), the way they did.

Earlier that day,when Dr. ANDREWS was about to give Euthanasia to "Patient on bed number 37".... something happened...that no one had ever thought of!!!! That Patient wokeup and started shouting in fear!!!

The team of doctors lead by Dr. Andrews, were shocked to the core!!!!...not even in their Wildest dreams ,they had imagined the possibility of such an incident taking place.

With bewildered faces they were looking at a corpse-like girl struggling to getup from her bed. She was already pale and fear made her look worse!!!!

But she was too weak... ofcourse! she had spent 7 years on bed...how can she expected herself to be absolutely normal?

She struggled for 2-3 minutes and before anybody could do anything, she passed out. 

Dr. Andrews quickly overcame his shocked state of mind and rushed to examine her.

After a few minutes, he had a sigh of relief... she was out of her coma but fell unconscious as a result of the fatigue caused by using a lot of her limited energy.

He then turned his back to face his team and assured everyone present in the room that she was out of her vegetative state, and there was no need of giving her EUTHANASIA, anymore.

Within few minutes the news spread like fire among the hospital and its sad atmosphere was replaced by that of  astonishment. Ofcourse! people were happy but moreover, they were surprised by the unfolding of the events.

Now, everyone was just waiting for her to wake-up. People at "The MAX" were eager to know her story, about her identity, her family, her tregedy and what not. 

Mrs. Wade decided to volunteer and stay back that day at the hospital by her side. Dr. Andrews objected and told her that she has already completed her shift and without rest , she will ruin her health. She must go home and rest. But, Mrs. Wade declined the offer. She was determined not to leave her there in this situation! even if that meant tiring herself a little bit. 

Ofcourse,Dr. Andrews had to eventually gave up, when Mrs. Wade pleaded for the same.

After that, Patient on bed number 37 was shifted to a special ward under the supervision of Mrs. Wade. Before leaving, Dr. Andrews wrote some medicines along with their dosages and handed it over to Mrs.Wade, which could help in speedy recovery of the poor girl.

It had been more than five hours, but the "Patient on Bed number 37" was still unconscious.

Mrs. Wade shook her head, she was tired and it was getting impossible for her to keep her eyes open. So, she decided to go and take a small nap. She stoodup looked at the girl who was sleeping soundly ,placed a kiss on her forehead and turned to leave.

As soon as Mrs. Wade was out of the room, the "Patient on bed number 37" slowly opened her eyes. She had gained her consciousness two hours back, but was pretending to avoid getting up in front of the old nurse or any other staff.  Although, That old nurse seemed to be so worried about her...just like her own mother...but she was not sure of what was happening around her!

She slowly tried to pull herself up, but there was so much of pain as if someone was pinching needles in her body.

But, she was in no mood to giveup and slowly sat on the bed with her head spinning like crazy.

She was confused from everything that was happening and focused hard to recall things.

She clearly remembered going to bed after having her dinner with her family. Then, how she landed in the hospital? and why was none of her family member's around? 

Was it that , something wrong happened with her family? All types of bad thoughts started coming to her mind, when suddenly her eyes fell on the calendar!!!! Her eyes were almost about to jump out of its sockets because of shock! It said September 2021..... she was 7 years in future!!!! 

She tried to pinch herself hard...maybe she was dreaming but the pain made her realize...she was not dreaming!!!

She tried to stand on her feet but due to weakness she felt sharp pain in her legs and she fall on her bed. She covered her mouth with her both hands to stop herself from making any sound despite pain.

Suddenly her eyes felt on her hands, they looked bigger.

Ofcourse, if she was waking up after 7 years then definitely she was no more a 13 year old girl but a 20 year old one.

She was trying hard to figureout things but with  her weakened body, her mind was also not working properly!

She quickly searched in her vicinity...if she could find more information!

She went through the calendar and checked the hospital name and Address on it...." The Max hospital, Thunder bay, Ontario".... What????

She was not even in Dryden!!!! Yes, ofcourse it was in Ontario only, but how she came there?

Tears welled up her eyes, thinking of all adverse things...She wanted to go to her family...her mom...her Dad!!!

After few minutes of emotional breakdown, she calmed herself.... something was not right...and she has to find out what!!!.. because she was not a weakling... neither an ordinary girl....She was NATALIE SAMRAT!!! The daughter of Famous Devebro Samrat of Ontario,... heiress of the SAMRAT family and she was going to find out and fix everything!!!!
