"Are you going to take advantage of me, sir?"

He cleared his throat. "No. I'll get the door for you."

She waited patiently, and he opened her door taking out his keys out.

"Hold on, Ophelia. Let me help you,"

He tied his hair back, picking her up swiftly.

She put her arms around him, laying her head on his neck.

"Mr. Hades," she sang his name.

He fought back a shiver. "Yes, little Songbird?"

"Can you take advantage of me, Mr. Hades?" Her fingers filtered through his dark hair, settling at the base of his neck.

"You're quite a messy drunk, Songbird. I'm glad I know now," he replied, carrying her into the house.

"Mr. Hades,"

"I told you, we're not at work, call me Adrian. And it's pronounced Hades."

She sat up. "I know. I know I can call you Adrian. And I know how it's pronounced. I like calling you Mr. Hades. It fits you."

He sighed. "Is that so?"

"Yes sir. Do you want me to sing you a song, Mr. Hades?"

He sat her down on a bed, with a small smirk. "I always want you to sing me a song. You're my song bird. But you should rest now."

He stood, leaving her on the bed. She grabbed him, pulling him back.

"Mr. Hades. Don't leave sir."

"Lay back down, Song Bird. Take a day off tomorrow."

She stood, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Mr. Hades..." she whispered, "Don't leave. Didn't you say you wanted to touch me? Touch me, Mr. Hades."

He pushed her down. "Go to bed."

"Mr. Hades...don't you want me...to forget my poet? You want me don't you? Not just down in The Mines either. Don't you?"

He swung around. "I told you, you shine like a diamond down in The Mines. Go to sleep."

"Not until you touch me. Just once. I want to know...I want to know."

He walked toward her, pushing his body against hers, walking her back to the bed.

"Are you sure this is the alcohol talking?" He asked. "You sing to me every night. And your eyes look for me," he reached out, his fingertips resting against her lashes briefly.

"I watch you. I hear your voice go a little lower, when your eyes catch mine. And you sway, just a bit toward me, moving toward me."

He touched her face ever so softly.

"I never said it was just the alcohol talking." She whispered back.

"Even so, it's not appropriate. I've explained that to you. You...are my songbird. Your voice is the only thing that should ever touch me." He whispered, he leaned closer.

"I can be more than one thing at once, remember?"

He smiled. "Very compelling. Did you want to be friend, or did you want...to be something else?"

She looked away. "I'm greedy, Mr. Hades. I want to be your friend and your song bird, and...more."

"And I'm guessing, you want your poet too?" He asked.

"I want it all. That's why I end up with nothing.  Always. Greedy. Wanting more and more. I'm never satisfied, Mr. Hades."

He smirked. "Do you want my money too, greedy Songbird?"

She shook her head.

He pushed closer to her. "What do you want? You always look at me like you want something from me."

She smiled. "I want it all."

"All?" He repeated lowly.

That deep, gravelly voice that shook the room he was in. She smiled.

"All." She confirmed.

He tucked a curl behind her ear. "You can't have it all, Song bird. You just can't."

She reached up, putting her fingers on his lips ever so gently. "Can I try, Mr. Hades?"

He pulled her hand down. "Not with me. I'm a little too smart. Been around a little too long. But maybe, some where, there's someone dumb enough to try and give you everything."

She looked down. "Two things, Adrian?"

He let go of her hand. "Two things. What will you choose? You do shine in those Mines though. I don't want to lose you."

"And what else?" she proved.

"I liked being your friend. You're interesting, when you're not seducing me." His lips quirked up. "I find your company enjoyable."

"Oh sir, I could be more than enjoyable. But for now, I think I'll go back to my poet for a while. Get him to sing a song for me. And maybe, that song will work on you."

His chuckle thundered. "Don't be so sure. You really are too greedy, Ophelia. It's a sin."

"Sir, I am sinful. Maybe I'll pray to you for help."

He smirked. "You'd have better luck praying to a god, but I can't stop you."

She smiled. "You're the closest thing to a god I know."

He shook his head. "You're a very interesting person, really."

She put her hands together. "Amen?

He shook his head, backing away from her. "Good night."

Adrian combed his hair back nervously. Maybe he should tie it back. He sighed. This was nerve tracking. But it had to be done. He stepped into the hotel. "Ophelia? Are you in here?"

Hey Little Songbird   for the winter

Adrian looked up in the dark. Why hadn't he said anything. Why he hadn't he said anything? Why hadn't he stopped her? He sighed. What should he do? His head pulsed. "I think..." he whispered aloud, "I think I'm angry."

Hey Little Songbird   fly south

"You should start learning Italian," Adrian whispered, his eyes on hers. Ophelia smiles. "What about you?" "I already know Italian. Italian, German, Japanese, Mandarin, and a few others."

Hey Little Songbird   hey why not

Adrian sighed. They'd taken the company jet to Detroit, and had went straight to the Vitale Estate. Adrian was hesitant. "Are we sure this is the best route?" "We can trust Grim," She assured him. "And anyone get didn't eliminate must be very strong."

Hey Little Songbird   he’ll write you a poem when the power is out

Adrian blinked. The light was so bright. He looked over. Where on earth was she? "Ophelia?" He called. "Opie, are you here?" They agreed they'd both take some time off work, so where else could she be?

Hey Little Songbird   he’ll give you his hand to mouth

Adrian glanced over at her. "Tell me you're joking? That I'm seeing things?" Ophelia smiled, saying nothing. "Ophelia, I—thank you."

Hey Little Songbird   strange is the call

Adrian held her from behind, tenderly gripping one of her breast his lips resting on her shoulder.
